  • @tommyonepercenter Unfortunately, it's still there in that same spot hidden amongst factories. :/

  • Russia and America are not so diffrent, We both face terror acts by muslim terrorist groups. We sould be allies again like in WW2 and take out the terrorists

  • Thank you, Russia, for feeling such sympathy for the disaster that struck our wonderful country. Your thoughts and concern for those who died or suffered that horrible day are heartwarming and everlasting. God bless you and your people for their love.

  • Thank you for this beautiful work and sentiment of understanding and compassion. The sculpture is one of the most beautiful things I've seen.

  • thank you Russia! God bless your country as well!

  • Спасибо, Россия.

  • This is good art - says it all, says it simply, says it clearly - thank you for this - Blessings - Rene

  • Thanks Russia!

  • Thank you for honoring the victims of this terrible tragedy, and sharing our grief.

  • I think people would be surprised at how much we have in common....but only separated by our past leaders ideologies...russia and the united states share quite a bit....both tough....at times stubborn.....and also unwavering towards our true hatred of terrorism....we dont talk to terrorist.....we kill them!!

  • I live near the monument and sadly it's in the middle of a collection of factories where no one can see it unless you knew it was there.

  • @ArchangelExile was it ever moved ?

  • Thanks Russia! <3

  • they should do more of this and less of claiming it was an inside job...

  • I now have a new respect for Russia. Thank you from america

  • As an American, I spent a few weeks in Russia about 1 1/2 years ago & discovered an amazing country full of wonderful people ... and in the process, many stereotypes on both sides were disspelled. I will never forget the Memorial at the Kursk battlefield either -- seeing little old ladies in their 80s laying wreaths on the battlefield graves of their loved ones lost long ago and newly wed couples having their photos taken at such a site. THANK YOU RUSSIA!

  • we're one and the same

  • Thanks Russia, we may have had hard tensions in our past. But, this gesture speaks more then words ever will. I thank all Russians for this selfless act of kindness. Words can't express my thanks.

  • Thank you for this selfless show of sympathy Russia. And shame on those who would not feel gratitude to a country that can show their feelings like this. God bless you all!

  • Thank you Russia! May God Bless you for your kindness and goodwill!

  • @fenderred1

I'll give you three letters that explain exactly why, and there the same reason the American military is given such a bad rap: C-N-N.

  • This a beautiful sentiment from russia and an awesome monument far better than anything new york could come up with. Think of their sickening tnterpetive center idea.

  • While this a beautiful sentiment from russia and an awesome monument far better than anything new york could come up with. Think of their sickening tnterpetive center idea. I can't help but feel this was politically motivated by putin after all the people he calls terrorist by any other name would be called freedom fighters as russia is occupying their country .

  • thank you....

  • Incredible!!! I never knew about this memorial. Its so simple, but means so much to many. The music and the thoughts that went with it made me cry. I don't understand how people can forget 9/11, I really don't. Everyday when 9:11 a.m. and p.m. comes around I think of it. Thats the truth. When people start throwing out hateful slants about the war need to remember how they felt on 9/11.

For Russia to do this is amazing. Shows how far we have from Cold War days.

  • God Bless Russia! <3

  • Oh man, trying to fight back the tears. Makes my eyes hurt.

  • Wow. Wow.

    Solidarity, we aren't that different.

  • I never knew Russia had sent anything, let alone something as poignant and wonderful as this teardrop, to America. Would love to see this in person.

  • Why the hell haven't I heard of this? Thanks to Russia.

  • WOW is right! Never heard of it and that's a shame. So beautiful and makes the world seem so small <3 Thank you very much Russia :)

  • I got tears in my eyes. Thank You Russia.

  • Russia, why did we have to fight over world war 2? I think we need to be friends again, just like the good old days. Thank you

  • this is the first time i have seen this. it is beautiful. one country cries for the sufferring of another. and in terms of russia and america. this is something.

  • A heartfelt thank you, to all of Russia.

  • thank you so much Russia. I really mean that from the bottom of my heart.

  • Thank you Russia.

  • Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so very much....btw, what is that music playing?? It's a wonderful piece.

  • What is the name of the music you are using? And might I add thank you for posting this video. It gave me a chance to stop and reflect. Thanks

  • Thanks Russia may God bless you all . What a kind gesture of good will and friendship . Best regards from an American.

  • A very big thank you from the US. Its gorgeous! May our alliance only get stronger from this point.

  • Think of the 1960's to 1980's. The world has changed. Russia sending the United States a significantly important memorial. Thank you Russia.

  • Why Putin "forgot" to mention that the artist, Zurab Tsereteli is Georgian

  • Thank you Russia!!!! I am a New Yorker and To see that this was erected before any memorial of our own was, is unbelievable.....God Bless You Russia, and thank you

  • May the Lord bless all people around the globe striving for their G-d given Inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, may we all respect each other's national sovereignty. Thank you Russia, for your support and thoughtful gift of remembrance.

  • thank you russia. i had always seen you as evil, but after seeing this, you guys really are good. maybe one day politicians can stop fucking things up and we can be friends.

  • See, Why must we hate russia? Because we have political views?

    Who gives a dang.

    Forget Political stuff.

See this is why Russia and US need to come back together. We are a great team.

They helped us in our independence in 1776, they helped in World War 2.

    I say forget Cold war.

The whole reason for our hostilities against each other is because we both want to be better then one and other.

If we alliance there would be no need for racing each other for the greater country.

  • @bomberfun1 I agree. The only reason why people hate one and other is because of media. I agree with you. Imagine us in a alliance. Amazing.

If U.S. wanted to do anything amazing I think we should go help you guys with the Moscow fires.

  • Why no media coverage? Four years ago, the media was too busy reporting on how we - the Americans, were being unfair to the Muslim world. That we were being too hard on Saudia Arabia for harboring the terrorists and blaming them for causing 9/11 and why Bush was to blame.

The media were also focused on getting Hillary back to the White House.

  • Thanks, Russia! It is beautiful. I love America, my Nation... and I have deep respect for the mighty Russian Federation.

  • I never heard about this. It is beautiful. Thank you to the Kremlin.

  • More people need to know this.

    STOP ALL MUSLIM IMMIGRATION NOW!!!!!

  • @evianalmighty Motion Seconded, my friend.

  • Why wasn't this is the news?

  • Such a beautiful gift from the Russians. I hope to get to see it in person some day. I also hope that our nations can stay friendly.

  • Almost 4 years and I have never heard anything about this? Where was the media coverge? Thanks to the Russian gov and poeple.

  • good job russia!!

    from georgia

  • Iv'e never had a problem with a russian, everyone I'v met was cool. People need to move on from the past

  • i did not know this either, so i just thanked the only Russian i know , on u tube, and thanked the Russian people for what they have done, this should had had wide coverage on TV, but it didnot. and that is frustrating, alot of time and effort, was put into this project, and should have been recieved as such.

thanks again, to all the Russian people who helped on this project, and yes, it did bring a tear to my eye.

  • Wow.

  • Thanks, Russia. It's so beautiful, not only physically, but also symbolically. This gesture of love will not be forgotten.

  • i never know russia this such a thing. very nice, it's a plus for it. i never excepted actually

  • A wonderfully moving tribute. Thank you, Russia.

America and the world will never forget 911 and the good people of the planet who care about each other.
