  • I had one keep up with me pretty good doing 0-70, he only fell back a few car lengths. I was in my Hemi Challenger

    Nissan makes some quick cars

  • My friend has the altima 3.5 coupe with the same tranny. I have a vid of it racing my old 350z . Nice maxima btw. i'd love to drive one sometime and see how they compare to the 350.

  • @jabba12000 I've watched your video. Both cars seem to have rather similar 0-60 times. I think the Maxima's acceleration is similar as well. It is really a great car to drive. In The Netherlands, (Nissan) cars are often less powerful than in the USA. But still, there are great cars such as the Nissan GT-R. See "Nissan GT-R during Gumball 3000 Rally in Amsterdam" and "Nissan GT-R doing 191 mph (308 km/h)". The police are trying to prosecute the driver of the GT-R in the latter video.

  • i believe that the car is alot faster in manual mode you can control when you want to shift verses the D MODE which is like driving a golf cart

  • @spazznewjerseyangel LOL. golf cart LOL!!!

  • THE GAYEST MUSIC

  • nice max ! gay music!

  • NICE! I have a 07 altima 3.5! A couple of add ons so it has 294hp

  • i hate the sound of a cvt transmission... soo anoying..

  • The blasting music between trying to hear the engine is ultra annoying. Nobody cares what 4 seconds of some random shitty hip-hop song you think is good.

  • @thespacecowboy420 Of course, the engine sounds are more important than the music, but if you listen carefully, you'll realize that this music hadn't been chosen at random. Moreover, the first two accelerations are clearly audible, for there is no music that is being played at the same time.

  • whats with all the plastic shit in car engine bays these days?

  • lol, that last part where it says "Now lets see how the car performs in DS mode" aint in sports mode. There is only a D, no s next to it, you should have it in normal mode mate lol. The first one where you say it is in manual mode performs like it is in Ds mode.

  • @jmcle884 Lol, you are quite right! For the sake of clarity: the first acceleration was performed in DS Mode, the second acceleration was performed in D Mode. And my conclusion would be that the D Mode is faster. Manual mode is useful when driving through a mountainous area.

  • but white?

  • For your information: the video is a comparison of the DS and Manual Mode. But even in the Manual Mode, nobody's shifted gear anyway. It is just a comparison of Nissan's factory settings for the two gearbox modes. And obviously, applying any of those basic tricks that have been posted here, would improve the 0-60 times! No doubt about that.

  • @StigSpielberg: Already more than a thousand video views! Thank you for watching. Please rate and comment. Also check out my new video "Nissan Maxima vs Lexus GS450h".

  • and yes its stuped for u not stupid lol

  • and try this next time. Leave it in 1 till ur at red line, lift off the pedal and shift and wood the throttle once or twice and u will have 110% of second gear and post better times.

  • haha wow dude learn to shift up and not use girl music. You're not supposed to hang the engine in high revs like that Lmfao

  • omg ur so fucking stuped

  • I'm sure u can hold it in high revs if you're actually looking to use the available power (all the way to red line then shift)

  • @BaltimaVQ35

Its a CVT transmission. There are no gears. In the first section, he's using the manual mode with simulated gears. In D, it doesn't shift, because there are no gears. The CVT transmission will hang at about 6200 RPM all the way up to 122 (the fastest I've been in my 3.5 altima coupe).

  • faster in ds mode
