If this is supposed to be the 70's, where are the DC-8's? United still had a ton of 'em all through the 70's. Love that paint job. That was my Dad's favorite. He retired from the left seat of the 10 in 1980. I still feel like I'm at home when I'm aboard a United flight.

Nice video! I agree with the paint scheme UAL should bring it back! LoL.. white paint is the lightest for an A/C..along wihth the bare belly it'd actually make their planes lighter.

I agree, but of course American will always have the lightest planes no matter what with their three stripes and big blue bird accompanied by AA. They even bragged about it back in 2005.

Several years ago when I was working for Alaska Airlines my mom and I took a trip to Bangkok on United. We were nonrevving (standby) from SEA-NRT-BKK. When the gate agent gave us our boarding passes and we got on the plane, we were shocked and pleasantly surprised to find out we were given seats in Business Class (it was called Connoisseur Class then) for the flight to Tokyo! Everytime I hear Rhapsody in Blue I remember the wonderful flight we had. This song is classy and elegant! Great video!!!
