  • I just don't buy the mainstream premise that those brilliant minds capable of creating the beautiful cave paintings in france 32,000 years ago went completely stagnant for the next 25,000 years until civilizations like Sumer and Egypt popped up out of nowhere. There was certainly something amazing in between. Great documentary.

  • I love this dive! Graham has changed my view of History... yours too, i know!

  • joe hogan!

  • Yeah, that kook stuff just poliferates. It's like when you go to the health section of any bookstore there's mostly weight loss books. Look up history on you tube it's mostly about all this nibiru stuff made up stuff by some guy in iraq.

  • @jaymorpheus11 have a look first then judge, don't be such a kid.

  • out of all the people who believe in ancient civilizations before egypt, this is the only man who i respect. the others with their ancient aliens bullshit are kooks. but this man has credibility because he says that we are a species with amnesia.

  • Who else is stoned right now?

  • Heard Graham on Joe Rogan. Lots if interesting things to check out!

  • like if you noticed they misspelled civilisation at the beginning; and reply if you can tell me why

  • Who is joe Rogan?

  • long live GRAHAM HANCOCK

  • zodiac, kosmos, pyramides, astronomikal,Egypt mythologikal e.t.c. all words are GREEKS.The ancient Egyptians dindn't have a word for pyramids and they used only the ancient greek word : PYRAMIDE which is mean =fire into inside. There are no ancient egyptians scientiests even one that we recognised but only Greeks.Orpheas was the first man who gave the meaning of zodiac circle and no one else before 3500 years !!!

  • @tasos401 what are you trying to say?

  • Searching for the truth is always a good thing.

  • rogan here too

  • Came here from Rogan's site/podcast. I am now a fan

  • yea, Im also here because of Rogan >;}

  • yea, Im also here because of Rogan >;}

  • Joe Rogan rekindled my interest in Hancock by having him on his podcast.

  • Knew about Graham before the podcast, but I'm back to looking up his shit again.

  • @MrOsorum Same here. Heard of him before, but got much more insight now because of the podcast. AND he was easier on the ears than Mayhem Miller.

  • @USAFSmiley87

lol the Mayhem Miller Podcast was still awesome.

The best podcast would be - Mayhem Miller, Joey Diaz

Rogan and Redban need to make that happen.

  • "an underwater mystery, that could simply rewrite history"

  • I have always felt we were separated from a great truth, from our real power. And here is proof of how it was, what we lost.

  • This is amazing!

  • this guy knows to much. the vatican has a death warrant on him

  • Come for the knowledge. Stay for the sexy saxophone soundtrack.

  • Sadly the first 10 minutes of the second part (Forgotten Knowledge) is missing here. Only noticed it because someone upped the German version of this 3 part documentary.

After part 5 of 14, (start of part two of the series), Hancock flyes over the Nazca lines and talks about the orion constallation seemingly mirrored in the "great Spider" of the Nazca Lines; to Egypt and Mexico, where Hancock further points out similarities.

search: 10500 BC Atlantis - die letzte Hochkultur Teil 6 von 15

  • @xP3AC3MAK3Rx but it's dubbed in german!

  • @happybuddyperson Got the whole thing uploaded in english now on my channel. "Lost" 15 min. included. So happy for you that you don't need to learn german ;)

  • what's eaisier to build a space shuttle or a pyramid? we have space shuttles, we can't build a pyramid. they had pyramids so they had space shuttles and aeroplanes. they flew and traveled the world. that's why so many cultures are alike they had trade. roman artifacts turn up in america's southwest, chocolate and cocain end up in mummies from egypt.

  • either

1 mankind is far older than anyone admits or 2 all our dating methods are false.

  • THANK YOU GRAHAM for siding with truth and honesty instead of politically correct BS.

  • Watching these kinds of videos can certainly enlighten, but only meditation will show you the subjective truth.

Meditate, be the change you want to see in the world, as Gandhi said.

  • This video is very compellign.

  • If you liked ‘Fingerprints of Gods” by Graham Hancock, you will definitely like ‘When did the Mahabharata War Happen? The Mystery of Arundhati.

The book evaluates astronomy evidence (over 200 astronomy and chronological observations from the Mahabharata text) to predict the timing of the Mahabharata War. Mahabharata is the longest epic in the world, 8 times Iliad and Odyssey combined, written in Sanskrit.

The Book is available on Amazon.

  • @lizzylizardson dumb caveman hardly...western myth of shitty education might sell you that...actually its cycle of life civiliations bloom gain knowledge collapse and lose knowledge.....it happened and eventually will hapen with us, after rome fell it took almost 500 years for stone building to be made in western Europe and comparing to roman buildings they were joke...it is nothing mysthical or requireing aliens vampires or beings from 199th dimension

  • I don't believe in any of Hancock's theories, but I still find his shows and books hugely entertaining.

  • Every gr8 civilisation has/had a backbone of religion, which is full of Science, knowldege, Research, Mythology (is it? or it is a history?)!

Proud to be a part of gr8 civilization! Hinduism rocks!

  • I remember watching this on cable in Argentina. It was a while ago on Discovery I believe. I was so amazed I grabbed pen and paper and started writting the main information. I had the feeling this was amazingly important. I was fucking right. The first time I saw this I had no idea who Graham Hancock. What an amazing trip is life.

  • Why Can Not Add This To My Channel???...Another way of trying to suppress True Knowledge--Check My Channel and Myspace and Awaken....

  • I would recommend a book by Charles Berlitz called 'Doomsday 1999'. Don't be fooled by the title. Brilliant research about massive Arks being found all over the world during tunnel drilling excavations and many mine digging operations. Not to mention the texts and histories of MANY cultures who knew about the coming world floods and built massive ships to try and survive them.

  • Why is it the search for "the" lost civilization? There could be many.

  • @soundsdreamy The appearance of ancient cultures are enormously similar. It can be concluded that ALL these cultures had the same teachers. As we know, most of these cultures had no apparent contact with each other. Yet they show the same astronomical calculations, gods, physics, predictions ect. Many of them also see some form of space crafts (could be the lost civilization, whom advanced so much they actually figured out space travel). It's what you would expect after thousands of years.

  • @treasuredroperX That they drew the same conclusions about the universe is because they lived in the same universe, had access to the same ressources and so on. And for the similarity of cultures: Get education. The spiritual views and their scientific archievements are totally different. Compare native Americans, ancient Egypt and ancient India, if you do it not just superficially you'll see. Btw, cultural exchange took place far earlier and far more often than you might think.

  • after the global distruction (reset) the elite and the powers of illuminati will emerg from the ruins of man to fullfill there goal of reseeding the human sheep with there knowlage...thus becoming the ancient aliens of the past. fly to all lands to find and gather new sheep before the gas runs dry...give the knowlage to the next age of kings who hide behind man. resurch BRAVE NEW BOOKS and find your answers and conections. peace be upon you

  • Some say that an angelic life form and planet was the oldest lost civilization, the asteroid belt mystery.

  • @TheCrazyfuqndude His guess is better than anyone else's. Yes, its his opinion whether you want to believe it or not is up to you. He never says "this is absolutely the truth, and your an idiot if you don't believe it".... which is kind of what your saying. Your saying 'this is bullshit and your an idiot if you believe it'. There is no ancient document that answers all questions... all people can do is make educated guesses.

  • @TheCrazyfuqndude Ancient architecture is similar yet modern architecture(past 2000 years) from different civilizations is very different. Doesn't seem like a huge leap to say that they all came from the same place. What he is saying is very logical, doesn't seem like a 'nut job' to me.

  • I just got Fingerprint of the Gods by Graham Hancock for my bday. Its an incredible book filled with knowledge.

  • Does anyone know the reason for the mis-spelling of civilization?

  • @TheCrazyfuqndude Try R.A Schwaller de lubics on for size. And forget these quacks who mix composite symbols and create rubbish of it. Start with "the temple of the body" and then look at the "temple of the cosmos". Then it will make sense. By a proper scientists, and a proper student of the great work. Hancock is a good man, but he does not understand the esoteric core of the teaching.

  • @TheCrazyfuqndude Read a book... just try it

  • great material

  • My hero!!!

  • This guy is a genius

  • how did i not find this till NOW BOOM

  • why directly old temple and not just a quarry???

  • In short, Graham Hancock's theory is that around the time of the last Ice Age there was an advance civilization on the coastlines around earth that vanished when the ice melted and was the basis of the Atlantis myth. The Atlantis refugees were the ones responsible for spreading this knowledge and formed the basis of the post Ice Age civilizations. Evidence for this mother civilization is under water and in our myths/legends.

  • old civilization? does anybody have proof?

  • @Metalgear55 In short, Graham Hancock's theory is that around the time of the last Ice Age there was an advance civilization (though probably stone age level) on the coastlines around earth that vanished when the ice melted and was the basis of the Atlantis myth. The Atlantis refugees were the ones responsible for spreading this knowledge and formed the basis of the post Ice Age civilizations. Evidence for this mother civilization is according to Hancock, under water and in our myths/legends.

  • @SupernautG

I'd say the 'advanced civilisation' was a lot, lot more than 'stone age' level.

Think Plato's account of Atlantis tech and divide by very low number ;)

  • @WatchRyder I wonder about the technology involved in this lost Atlantis coast line ice age era civilization was it advanced enough that the humans who lived inland saw it as magical when they saw Atlantis tech? Plato's account says that the Atlantians tried to conquer Athens and failed just before the sinking. So that shows me that Atlantians were not that much more advanced than mainlanders and maybe they attack was by the refugees of Atlantis trying to escape by conquering mainlanders?

  • @SupernautG

Maybe, but Athens could of been used as an allegory of another great civilisation, possibly Lemuria or even Hyperborea?

Or Athens could of been of equal 'higher' advancement in tech etc.

Indeed if you consider the 'great collapse' back then was near-global then possibly Athens was set-back in food production, tech, loss of life etc...

  • @WatchRyder I saw an interview where Graham Hancock docounted Lemuria and Mu legends as fiction. Hyperborea according to the Greeks was northwards maybe the artic lands. I wonder of the Greek obsession with mountain top acropolis fortifications comes from this Atlantis era and the rise of the water levels?

  • @Metalgear55 Yea, the huge ass pyramids under water would be a dead giveaway of that.

  • @joker52mlb hahah yeah really eh. I think he has a really strong case and when you sit back and think about what hes saying it really does make sense.

  • @JG129 I'm not even going to fully agree with that brother, as this dude says some crazy shit. Who knows though man? We weren't there. It's just some interesting stuff to ponder on, and build the evidence over time. But as of right now in 2011, i'm giving this dude like a 30/70 of truth to bullshit ratio. Of course, i could be wrong. I'm getting one of his books soon and then i will probably have a better opinion on Graham Hancock. What do you think of him?

  • @joker52mlb I think he has a strong case. Especially when he is finding alot of these structures all over the world that are now under water. And the fact the pyramids have water damage from flooding and it hasn't rained like that for over 10,000 years over there. So I mean alot of things seem to be in his favour but like you said no one really knows because no one was around then, The best we can do is look at the facts and take an educated guess !

  • @joker52mlb well yea, but who build it?

  • @Metalgear55 How in hell would i know man? lol

  • @joker52mlb lol thats true, my bad:) well do you have any idea where to search about it? have you any videos about this topic?

  • Graham Hancock, your my hero.

  • They... misspelled Civilization...

  • @biggee316 its a british show. we spell stuff differently sometimes.

    like:

    us(color)

    brits(colour)

  • One of the best documentaries ever made by Graham Hancock. A classic series that forces all to rethink orthodox views concerning ancient monuments worldwide.

  • I can't believe he honestly thinks that 1) Egyptologists despise ancient Egyptians and 2) That Egyptologists think that the way the buildings were constructed were random and coincidental.

The way he talks you'd think he discovered Karnak himself.

  • does anyone know where or what the fabulous soundtrack being played throughout the documentary is or is from?

  • ...So we have civilisation that was able to lift enormous stones, that was able to measure distance between planets in our solar system, that was able to see or know about Neptun and Pluto (they builded its pyramids in Teotihuacan Mexico, and we discovered those planets around 1900). And somehow they didn't came up with their own writing system? When for every civilisation it's crucial to pass their knowledge and their history. I think they would came up with it sooner than with telescopes.

  • ...He talks and shows this great structures, and monuments, but doesn't explain how they were able to lift and position 500ton blocks and monumets of granite. Around the sphinx they are 200tons blocks removed from sphinx enclosure and they are stacked one on another, it's logical that you cut blocks that you have no problems with lifting, otherwise you cut smaller blocks. It's also weird that egyptians wrote thousands and thousands hieroglyphs and not once they mentioned building pyramids!...

  • Well, I love the facts in this whole documentary, but the conclusions he came up with are not logical. First of all isn't this just more possible that pyramids were build 10500years bc rather than that they passed the knowledge of stars arrangemed and build it more than 7000 years later? Especially that archaeologists estimated the date of pyramids by carbon dating things they found around pyramids not by examining the pyramids. Also he ignores the idea of extraterrestial visitations to easy...

  • yeah I know I know.

  • I wonder who gave these video a thumbs down. ... must be insane.

  • @Mangwelo - nah, just scared of the truth.

  • 5 screenshots / min. !

  • At 4:45 you see the sun rising above the gate, but as Hancock says himself, the sunrise would have been on a different place in older times, which means that the sun rise wouldn't have been there when the temple was built. That is one of the reasons why he believes Tihuanaco is around 13000 years old.

    Or am I mistaken?

  • Another 'hidden image of the heavens' is found in Peru's Sacred Valley. Their constellations were the dark 'clouds' seen clearly against the brilliant backdrop of the Milky Way. These constellations can be seen in the Sacred Valley, of one knows how to look. At least one is also tied to the winter solstice. Interesting.

  • I agree, Graham is right!!!

  • I yet to watch the rest of the doco, however it was clear to me that he started drifting towards Egyptian civilization after the lost city topic!! well it kinda typical to do that, but Egyptians are not the first to set writing systems or create the time of the day or invent agriculture, to even building first cities, all that as we know happened at Mesopotamia . The only reason i reckon people fascinate themselves with the Egyptians cuz there is too much of it floating above the ground already!

  • Graham's right!

  • Early civilizations built pyramids when the requisite engineering and organized labor force became available to them. Besides, they're the easiest thing to build. And what else would they do with their pyramids but emulate the biggest thing around? If you said the sky you too might get on TV like this Hancock moron. Look, ancient people were not stupid. They didn't need divine intervention or "alien technology" to stack one slightly smaller box on the bigger box below then point it at the stars.

  • @ParallaxVue for a 12 year old you are hilarious.

  • @ParallaxVue

Let's forget how heavy these stones actually were, and the type of technology and power it would have required to make them into a perfectly geometric shape (ancient Egyptians were thought to have limited mathematical knowledge), not forgetting how far away said stones had to travel to reach the build site en masse.

They are the easiest things to build because it's 2010 and we have the technology to barely achieve this kind of mathematical, astronomical and architectural feat.

  • @ParallaxVue when some of the stones are weighing up to 1000 tons they do. Idiot.

  • This man is brilliant!

  • existe este video en castellano ????

    muchas gracias

  • Funny his last story about the sky and zodiac happened 10,500 yrs ago. Remember it related to the great pyramid not these johny come lately texts !

  • Ah thats why they did the blockbuster Hancock! to fuck up Grahams views on youtube

  • Graham Hancock...THE REAL HANCOCK!!!

  • Its all true, ive been to Theotihuacán it is phenomenal! just like Gizeh

  • And to think that there are so many people fighting over religion and the afterlife (the idea that death=eternal life). I personally believe these stone monuments were built aligned to the cosmos to teach that life on Earth is eternal. Heaven or Hell is here on Earth -- what we make of it for ourselves and our children/grandchildren. Thank you Graham and Santha for a wonderful documentary.

  • Graham Hancock, THIS GUY IS FOR REAL

  • For some reason I am constantly reminded of Stargate SG-1 while watching this. Great series of videos though, makes you wonder........

  • It's a must watch all videos

  • trippy

  • song at 1:57 what is it??

  • c'mon. isn't it obvious now that we haven't been told the whole story about mankind? that so much has been hidden and lied about ?

  • @Artfryne Exactly! listen to ANTIMATTER RADIO SHOW here on youtube to get an idea of what the truth really is

  • grahams the shit

  • im watching this again... what an amazing story (truth) indeed

  • Thank you!

  • Hey Akn0ledge did you copy my video description? I swear I wrote that exact paragraph 2 days ago when I copied your playlist.. :)

I, I think our minds are linked...

  • There are a bunch of great Graham Hancock movies on youtube!! keep looking there is so much great information to be had

  • Thank you Graham. I highly recommend watching the recent "The Pyramid Code". Graham is featured in it. As well as Robert Buval and John Anthony West. It's on Youtube. Search and watch it.

  • @Brambleiah thanks for the suggestion! i just watched all 5 parts and I wish there was more....

  • You're welcome! I know.. It's so good. Amazing documentary.

  • @Brambleiah Thanks for the info. =) "The Pyramid Code"

  • @Brambleiah I dont know about buval. In older documentaries I have seen him walking around calling himself a engineer but in a newer one he said that and corrected himself and said "I work for an engineer". If he onlly worked for one than why have I seen two videos where he called himself one. It was deliberate lying so we would be more ready to belive what he says.

  • @Brambleiah

Wow I watched Pyramid Code all day and then into the night from beginning to end. Thanks for sharing that! Best thing I've ever seen to date! This "Quest for the Lost Civilization was really good too but "Pyramid Code" has freakin changed my life!

  • @Needs2Know Awesome! Yeah, it's amazing work.. I watch it here and there occasionally. Please share it!

  • @Brambleiah I think I've watched that program (the whole series!) at least four times! Opened my eyes and made me question just where DID we come from? Aliens, smaliens . . . WE were highly advanced a long time ago, there's just not enough evidence YET, to get people to believe it, or at least consider it.

  • WARNING - Parts 7,8 and 9 won't stream in England... Copyright take-down.

  • its all planed they know the truth!

  • Finding the truth behind the ancient civilizers and their megalithic architecture creeps along . . . one dead Egyptologist at a time.

I highly recommend G. Hancock's "Fingerprints Of The Gods". It will expand your perceptions of human history and maybe even shake your brain out its formal education/mainstream religion-induced paradigm paralysis.

  • *lol* my mum is an athropoligst, I got graham hancock books for xmas, me mum wanted to read them of course. WHY my fellow humans can we not EVOLVE<<<<< shit! we have a beautul planet(that we are killing).....we have SO F'ng much. AND WE DESTROY IT. i make my living now by cutting down DEAD trees...come on people ..if yA made me lose my job I would hug you!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "all three used pyramids, all worshipped kings, all had religion etc etc" hang on... you can draw these VAGUE similarities from many cultures. no, it's not a coincidence.

  • skeptics underestimate the wisdom of those who came before us

  • @Jyotinanda108 This is true. If society were open to remembering a lot of the practices and customs of our ancient ancestors then we definitely would be living in a better world.

They were connected with their psychic abilities; they knew of the unity and of the holographic nature of the universe. I say this because this is the shamanic paradigm; that all are connected to all and are therefore one. This shows that every action and thought affects the world-the universe- around us.

    namaste

  • @Jyotinanda108 we do not underestimate ancestors wisdom, but his and those who believe in mambo-jumbo of history...

  • @Jyotinanda108

skeptics protect their minds from superstitions and theories with little supporting evidence

  • @Jyotinanda108 i think it's safe to say simply that skeptics generaly underestimate wisdom.

  • I enjoyed reading these comments

  • Great work Mr. Graham Hancock

  • Thànk you Gràhàm!! There àre à few people like this màn!

  • Boy, talk about a fight going here.

Guys, I'm something of a scientist myself (I want to become a aerospace engineer and something of an astrophysisist) but I must say that there are all to many scientists out there that don't accept new ideas and new facts readily. I tried to talk to a former NASA scientist turned college proffeser a while back about a new technological idea based on some other successfull ideas from recent years.

  • But he would not listen to me and insited that my idea would never work and that I was talking nonsencs, even though I can show that my idea has some very good promise. Too many current experts seemed to be threatened by new stuff that they were never taught about or could not concieve of themselve. This goes for both astrophysics and archeaology.

  • Now I am also something of an archeaologist by hobby (I've also had some classes) and Gaham Hancock DOES have some very convincing evidence, especially when added to records of additional evidence that I have stumbled on that others have discovered in the recent past (especially about the Ancestrial Puebloans, other South American Ruins and Santorini/Atlantis). Now I don't exactly agree with Hancock's ideas and theories, but I am VERY interested in his evidence.

  • And he does have enough to seriously look at it. As for his ideas, that's for you to decide about.

Now I don't wantto continue an argument or try to hurt anyone verbally or anything like that. All I want to do here is point out that, while we may not agree with his ideas, maybe would should at least consider them and his gathered evidence even if most experts will not. Someday we may be the experts and there may be poeple want us to listen to them.

  • How will we know if they have good ideas or not unless we really, really listen? And how about we start listening right here right now to help us get in the habit?

  • Ok, nuf said. I'm done.

  • Good luck with your chosen field, a broad mind is your best tool, I hope you find the truth you seek, this is the fundamental questions of mankind to seek the truth of why we are here and why we have forgot to respect those who went before us and what they were trying to tell us. I hope one day you will be the expert. :0) Don't let anyone pull you down, rise above others disuassion and persue your dream.

  • Good words

  • As you have gathered you tube is full of people professing to know the 'truth', some of these views are considered and backed up with research whilst others are totally off the mark, wacky to say the least and I have wasted many an hour listening to the odd fanatic. Every so often I find someone who takes a new way of thinking that makes me think hmmm! I dont get an Arrh! moment very often. In other words if something screams 'true' to you you should follow it up. Intuition is your best guide.xx

  • It is wise to be skeptical of someone claiming to know everything, sometimes though they may just touch on something that is rational and relevant, it is down to you to sort the wheat from the chaff so to speak. The older generation in the sciences can sometimes be anul in their feed back as it was not so long ago that to question this train of thought would see you ostracized in the 'professional' world. Hancock and the likes gained funding from other sources like writing to conduct research.

  • I have myself looked into science as a career, but I prefer to stand back and see what is going on in too many fields than to box myself into a specific area. People like Graham Hancock give us some of their theories and possibilites about the ancient wisdom that has sadly been lost in time. I have a thirst for what the ancients were trying to tell us, it was usually about natural cycles and beliefs, so I study art, history, science and religion to gain a more rounded point of view.

  • mainstream science, archeology, ancient history do'nt want to rewrite the books.new discoveries are found all the time but they r supressed and hidden from us. those who hide great finds from us use those for their own personal gain, religion plays a big part in this. it would rewrite everything we were ever taught,we would find out we've been lied to and they have used ancient technologies to pass of as they're own. of course it would be to difficult to rewrite the truth.

  • contin.....

So they continue to tell us the lie.

Any scholars who dare challenge and share their finds are ostracised, demoted or face job loss. And of course there is no evidence to show when they come foward, because the evidence is lock and keyed by those higher up in the chain.

Graham is hypothisising in this show anyhows.

  • yes, not so long ago you were burnt at a stake, for saying the earth was a sphere...........guess things have`nt really changed that much

  • Gravity is a Theory. Evolution is a Theory. Cell Theory, is a Theory. Atomic Theory is a Theory. The cocnept of the Earth totating around the Sun, is the Copernican Theory.

As Professor Eugenie Scott of the NSCE put it simply, Theories don't Graduate into Facts or Laws. A Theory explains a fact, which is just a piece of confirmed observation. Facts be them individually can be right or wrong and have little impact on the actual theory that explains them.

  • chen21 you really are a complete dufus. Don't bother commenting on science - its just a word. The people he's on about are scientists - the difference is they were tantric priests who ate the berries, then wrote down which ones made them ill. Its called Tantrism on a basic level & is as rigourous science as any hparticle smashing now etc... shamanism is scientific enlightenment. Heretic religious idiots are usually too hung up on stupid theories that are just like your comments now.

  • I think you positive people on this thread are saying all the right things and its encouraging... i like to think Ray Kurzweil's Singularity in particular is moving like Hancock towards the next truth level. my only TRUE belief is that we will succeed in (RE!)planting the same DNA found in the billion old 'soup' one day on our earth. That is 2001.. Michio Kaku's explanation of typeI,II,III & IV civilisations are fascinating - 4 being the DNA deciders (gods?) if you will. We are type 0.. for now

  • Ray Kurzweil & Graham Hancock are more crucial than any romans devices - like jesus - will ever be. Certainly idiots who haven't read around the texts that link these places, wonder why we have declining empires timewise compared to 'primitive' civilisations that lasted many thousands of years. Our culture as we know it - is how old? Some seem to be about 5 years old judging by their fear of a kind spirited & fascinating man. Immortality for Ray Kurzweil & Graham Hancock - Fukk the BBC

  • It is man made without a doubt. Read the epic of Gilgamesh properly & instead of getting hung up on geology too much.. correlate ACTUAL documentation & then realise all these similarities on a basic level - pyramids - but with seperate styles of communication symbollically. God is nothing more than the x & the WHY?

  • the Epic of Gilgamesh is literature, not history any less than Cinderella

  • Graham Hancock is a great researcher. The evidence is there, right in front of us. Some of the ancient people were incredibly smart. It's human attitude and perception that is the problem. Science is great. Some scientists are not so great. We're busy building Walmarts and strip malls. The ancients built temples to last thousands of years. They watched the stars, we watch "reality TV" So who are the smart ones ?? DUH

  • Science cannot even prove its own tenements. The theory of evolution. The theory of the big bang. The theory of relativity. The theory of chaos.

Anyone who believes in science is making a leap of faith.

And, at the end of it all, even if science can prove any facts, it can merely tell us how; it cannot tell us why.

"Why" is an act of faith, whether it be uttered in science or in any other form of belief.

What I object to are science-fascists, who attempt to pass off theory as fact.

  • so in your words, theory = guess, and fact = truth?

  • They are your words, I think.

My objection is directed toward those so-called scientists who hold up scientific theory as scientific fact. I think my original comment makes that sufficiently clear.

Schools teach Darwin's theory of evolution as though it is fact. It is not. Statements made as fact deny any further argument, whereas true science encourages us to disprove its conclusions.

There is as much bad science around as there is bad religion, and each is equally at fault.
