  • This is one of the cutest cats I have seen in my entire life!!!!!!!!!!!

  • PPPUUURRR...

  • Should i get a ragdoll? our cat passed away a month ago, we are still so sad.... we are thinking about filling that hole of sadness with a ragdoll!

  • @143cat Hi there, sorry to hear of your loss. I can say Ragdoll cats are absolutely wonderful. But do be sure to thoroughly check the breeder out first. Also, do plenty of research on the breed - Ragdolls are indoor cats as they have no road sense, are readily stolen & try to make friends with everything, which gets them in trouble with other animals. Are you prepared for cleaning litter trays everyday? They also need a bit of grooming & demand attention. Two Ragdolls together is best, as they

  • @143cat love to play with each other and it stops them from getting bored. Being indoor, they also need a lot of toys - high perches, cat gyms etc They love scratching posts & won't scratch the furniture if you teach them from a young age. It's a lot of work, but it's also a lot of fun too. Our 3 Raggies are almost 2 now & they still play like kittens every day. Always making us laugh & always ready for a good cuddle. Have a watch of my videos - that's a good glimpse at what they're like 24/7!

  • YAY! I am getting one March 1st named Sunshine lol

  • @jordanlovehere9809 Awww, how adoreable :) What pattern/colour is Sunshine? Oh & do you have another Raggie friend for it to play with and have as company though? It may seem a bit strange, but having two or more Ragdolls actually makes it easier to look after them if you can't be with them 24/7. Our three Ragdolls absolutely need attention and affection, like they need to breathe and though I'm self employed & work from home, it's great that they have eachother to play with when I'm busy.

  • @RaggyHeaven Sunshine will be a male

He is a seal point or mitted I am not sure which one lol:) He is currently 3 weeks old. He was the biggest and fluffest of the litter. Hopefully, I will get a friend for Sunshine. I am not sure to get a female for him or a male. Which do you prefer?

  • @RaggyHeaven Thanks a lot! Yes, we have been thinking about an indoor cat, don't worry! We won't let the accident happen to our new cat! Too risky. if we would let her out, we would have her on a leash. And yes, we have a cat gym, too. We have almost everything to take care of her. Her name will be Jynx :) We have a dog (french bulldog) who loves playing with cats! He is very gentle and the dog and my cat used to be togheter ALL THE TIME.

  • @RaggyHeaven My dog is very patient, too. And I heard ragdolls like to play with other animals,so will that be a problem? Plus we live in a quiet enviroment in the subberbs and there are no cars; it's very peaceful. I think it would be great for a ragdoll. And is it true that they are very happy when you pat them? Oh and one more thing, some people say the fur doesn't tangle as much as persians for example, you dont have to brush them all the time...just once on two days or so. is that true?

  • @143cat Hiya, as long as your bulldog is used to cats and friendly with cats & the breeder has ensured the kitten is well socialised, with close supervision your kitten and dog should get along well. Don't force them to interact & ensure both have plenty of attention as well. It took us a week for our two older Ragdolls to accept our youngest Ragdoll and the same again when we introduced our German Shepherd puppy. In terms of personality, as long as the kitten is well socialised by the breeder &

  • @143cat the breeder has bred for temperament, is well qualified etc (NOT a backyard breeder or kitten mill) and you play with and bond with your kitten from an early age & maintain that level of attention and give rewards, treats, pets, play games, keep your kitten happy, safe & warm etc it should love being petted as much as ours do (which is a LOT!). Though not all cats will beocme lap cats - 2 of ours love cuddles on my lap, the third prefers to lie beside me, but all 3 love being held & cry

  • @RaggyHeaven ok, probrably getting a lynx point colour, because both the parents are that colour :)

  • @143cat when they feel left out or want more attention. As for the grooming, it's best done at least once every week/two weeks (depends on the length of hair and the season - cats are fluffier in Winter for example) to avoid the odd knot around the legs/tummy. Ragdolls don't knot as much as Persians do. Mainly you groom them regularly to keep their hair soft & to get them used to being brushed, so when they do tangle a little, they don't mind being brushed. Good luck :)

  • @RaggyHeaven thanks for the advice! getting a ragdoll soon!:))))

  • @143cat No worries, good luck :) If you can, get two Ragdolls - they make the best of friends and it'll help give you a break as well, as they will play with eachother often. Makes it easier to pop out for errands, as solo Ragdolls will cry and get upset about you leaving. Oh & let me know what pattern/colour you're getting! :)

  • O.O omg that bicolor is to DIE for. But then again so are all ragdoll babies. <3 Can't wait to get mine. Just a few more months.

  • @bubblegumbum Hiya, thank you :) Yes, he's my little sunshine, that one. We now have three Ragdoll babies and they're all unique and affectionate in their own special ways, I couldn't be happier with them and I'm sure you will be happy with yours too. The hardest part is waiting until they're old enough to leave the breeder :)

  • I think the look is closer to a panda then a raccoon. A raccoon has a dark band from the eyes around each side of it's head making it look like it's wearing a bandit's mask.

  • @okdon Actually, on a panda the black spots around the eyes are far apart from the nose and are very distinctly circular. The jaw, overall face and body is also rounded. Whereas, with a raccoon, like with our Seal Bicolour kitty the black spots aren't distinctly circular and they run closer down the noseline. The jaw is also angular and overall face and body thinner. Unfortunately, with our boy the similarities don't stop there - he also goes through the garbage like a raccoon, haha!

  • Oh what sweet purring babies!

  • @nuzzlebasket Thank you :) They're now quite a bit older (They've grown up on youtube, so there's heaps more videos of them) and Roman's purr is so loud, you can hear it from across the room and once he knows your looking at him, he'll squeal and come running up to you, demanding cuddles. Heaven help you if you deny him cuddles!! Haha! We're lucky Chiko is a more relaxed lap cat, to balance out Roman's crazy attention seeking :)

  • @RaggyHeaven I've only had two ragdolls (both girls).

The one I have is a choc torbie lynx bicolor. She

only purrs when kneading me but she is very vocal

demanding attention. What goregous blue eyes they

    have!

  • @nuzzlebasket Hehe, they are very demanding, it's amazing :) I think your name "nuzzlebasket" is a perfect description of them actually! I'll have to remember to add that to the list of nicknames I have for them, haha! Gosh, a Choc Torbie Lynx Bicolour! Try saying that one three times fast!!

  • Oh my goodness, look at those blue eyes. I just got a munchkin/siamese kitten. He is the most adorable thing. He doesn't look Siamese except for his face shape and eyes though.

  • @ooberzombies Hiya :) Years ago, we looked at Munchkins - theyre so cute, but we lost our full of life 18yr old cat to a back dislocation (she'd been kicked!) & our vet knew how emotional I was about it & suggested we wait til Munches were a more established breed first, so any health problems are ironed out. But then we stumbled across the Ragdoll breed & the void in my heart was filled :) Have you seen my video "gimme my hair?" It's of Roman a little bit older and his blue eyes truly pop :)

  • @RaggyHeaven Aw I'm sorry. We get ours at the local animal shelter. We actually didn't know he was that odd mix until the woman called us to ask how he was doing a week later lol.

I just watched that and that is so adorable!

  • How are ragdolls with dogs? Pugs specifically. Thanks in advance for any replies.

  • @bhubba01 Hi there, can you give me more info e.g. How many Pugs do you have? How old? After a Ragdoll kitten or a cat? How are your Pugs with other cat breeds? Basically, it really depends on how old your dogs are&how they react to other cats. Ragdoll kittens will adapt to suit the dog - if the dog doesn't like them, they won't like it. If they are both young & carefully introduced, you should have no problems - Properly bred Ragdolls LOVE everything, particularly Chihuahuas in my experience :)

  • Ragdolls are the perfect cats.

  • @LoveSenseDimension They are the perfect indoor cat breed, for sure :)

  • Panda kitty!!!!!!!!!!

  • believe me you, i looked and looked to find charlie and trigg. I HAVE NEVER EVER seen roman's eye color before. it is phenomenal.

  • his eyes are truly wonderful. where did you get him from. i want a kitty with eyes like that!!

  • Thanks so much, they are gorgeous aren't they! Their breeders are Alison & Roy Keepin from Keepin-Katz in New Zealand. Outstanding breeders, that I can wholeheartedly recommend - both our boys came from them very well socialised and exceptionally smoochy and we are now waiting on our third little Raggie "Ari" from them. Take a look at my video "Gimme My Ball of Hair" it's Roman a bit older & his eyes just "pop" :D

  • DARN IT!! I am in the United States, which means I cannot adopt from them! I am excited about your third raggie! FUN! They are addicting.

  • I am going to buy a ragdoll cat but I am worried as he will be the only one there. I only work about six hours a day and sometimes 4 hours a day on the weekdays and im free on the weekends. Is this enough to where my ragdoll will not feel lonely?

  • Hiya, it's great that you're thinking about these things. Having a kitten is a tough, particularly Ragdolls as they MUST be kept indoors. They have absolutely no road sense and fall victim to cars all the time if their owners don't keep them indoors. As indoor cats, it is important to make sure they have plenty of toys and a lot of company, they are very much like a toddler or a puppy and follow you around, wanting to know where you are at all times and get upset if they are alone (our boys

  • cry when they are separated and when they can't find us) - They are very dependent on us. If you can get two that would be beneficial as they love to cuddle up to eachother, play and share toys. It is a handful, but worth it for their happiness. Perhaps you might be better off with a slightly older Ragdoll? Or you might want to consider other cat breeds that aren't as highly dependent on you? There are plenty of cat breeds out there, take your time - you've raised excellent questions.
