  • you know, twisting the throttle like that while trying to start it will just flood it, no wonder you have such a hard time trying to get it started. in future, choke on; no throttle; press starter button. cold has very little to do with it.

  • @MABELtheINFERNAL Not exactly true. I’ve been riding bikes for the last 24 years and from my experience these old CB’s are notorious for being cold blooded. Could it use a fine tuning? Probably. But thanks for your opinion though.

  • I agree with @MABELtheINFERNAL. My 70's CBs won't fire if the throttle is open more than a hair. Once it's fired, then I can open it up a bit to get it warm.

  • My 400Four Starts allways with the first kick! Never had problems to start her like here in the video. Nice bike indeed!!

  • The top yokes, are they a one off,or from another bike, and btw who built it for you?

  • @mrblushy The top yoke is a stock 400f yoke with the handle bar clamps filed down and polished.

The bike was built by Twinline Motorcycles here in Seattle

  • @cholmes1969 ok,thanks for the reply.

  • Did you rejet after mounting those filters?

  • Yes. But I had the bike professionally built and it's now long gone. So I can't remember what size jets were used. Sorry.

  • Sweet.
