  • Interesting. By the way, "umm" is not really a word, but the exercises were useful. LOL

  • @robertslistening the legend of Um' is the foundation of magical mind freaks LOL

  • Thanks for those Borah. I've been playing badly for years and just started lessons. The first exercise I was given was the Hanon's Aerobic Sixths, which I think is the last one you show here. But I hadn't realised the importance of turning the wrists, so that's a really useful pointer. Thanks again.

  • Thanks for the great and supporting comment. Maybe I migh one of this days. Me and a friend were thinking about putting a small jazz combo(Piano, drums, and bass) vid and explaining what we did and etc. But at the same time I am afraid of what people may say. But still, thanks. by the way do you play piano? if yes r u classically trained? Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

  • I envy you!!!!I study music and my main instrument is percussion. I play Jazz Music in piano and I love jazz piano but I wish I could be more proficient in piano. Please tell me What I could do in order to be better piano player. People have told me to buy some piano music and practice practice. I never had piano lesson so I am glad that you had this video. Question, I heard that depending where you are coming from and where are you going to will determine what fingering you will have. Correct?

  • This video was really helpful! I'm a composition major and have been playing piano for a couple years but this still helped with relaxation and quickness. Thanks a bunch!
