  • Wait, he said "Love Wins" at 5:56; you should ask Rob Bell for some portion of his profits for his book since you came up with the title 4 years earlier.

  • Is this Rob Bell's Jesus at Luke 12: 49? "I came to cast fire on the earth, and would that it were already kindled! ... Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. " No, the Jesus of Scripture spoke more of Hell and final judgment than anyone else in all Scripture.

  • Top notch parody.

"I don't think they're listening bullhorn/bullwhip guy". Didn't stop Jesus from telling them the truth in a very anger-producing provocative way: Jn 8:43"...Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire."

  • In America almost everyone has a religion whether you know it or not

  • You have to remember that Jesus talks like that to the "religious" calling them whitewashed tombs but to the "sinners" he takes them and teaches and has meals with them...

  • Yes, but you have to remember, that Jesus didn't just teach & have meals w/ them. Matt 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, & to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. & said Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. & in John 5:14 & 8:11 told sinners to go & sin no more, telling 1 that a worse thing would come to him (than 38 years of being crippled) if he went back to sin. He did what the Holy Spirit still does- John 16:8 Acts10:42 Luke 24:46-47

  • Please don't, rather pray that he repents and turns to Christ.

  • great vid!!! love it!!!!

  • A poignant message delivered very cleverly. Amen.

  • Thou art the ruler of all the fair land of Satiria, my good sir.

  • And when you think about it, what an undignified way to treat a human being. We possess the eternal souls rendered as reflections of God, and bullhorn guy wants to transform those for the better by - wait, shouting in an airport? Handing out fliers telling people that they're awful? Everyone has to come to the realization at some point that they ARE sinful to accept God's forgiveness, but this is a soul we're talking about. This is a delicate subject. Fliers and a megaphone don't do it justice.

  • (Which, that aggression also had to fulfill the "zeal for Your house has consumed me" prophecy from Psalm 69.)

It should be noted that immediately after the whole loan sharks and merchants incident, Christ heals blind and crippled people, then again becomes aggressive to the chief priests when they criticize him for it. Specific responses for different people.

Bullhorn dude indiscriminately shouts at bankers, lawyers, Buddhists, victims of sexual molestation via the Church - you get it.

  • Christ responded to people one-on-one, responding to the specific needs, weaknesses, and sins they had. He responded to the money-changers by driving people out and kicking over their tables because they were profiting from other people's faith (Matthew 21:12-14), but that aggressive approach is reserved for the deceitful and the holier-than-thous, NOT people who were genuinely questioning/hurting/seeking.

  • One of the problems with the parody is that Christ and a bullhorn dude don't communicate the same and therefore are not comparable.

  • What the heck is this guy talking about?!?! Is he being sarcastic or serious? Im confused. He is so full of crap and he is saying everything opposite of what the Bible says!

  • It's a joke on the Rob Bell- Bullhorn video. THAT is the one you should put this. comment on. Hah

  • Ohh haha. I realized this after I saw it. I was like uhh wait flashes of Jesus being tough?? I never knew about the Bullhorn Rob Bell video until this. Thanks for clarifying. Its so terrible what people believe now!

  • Rob Bell is the one turning over YOUR tables of religion and judgment-- those attitudes which stand between Christ and those who need Him-- those attitudes that build so many walls of condemnation that no one could ever find the love of Christ in it.

While your video addresses the strawmen you created in Rob Bell's name, his video addresses the Christian, who is so busy calling out others, he cannot see his own blindness.

It is the goodness of God that calls men to repent- not condemnation...

  • It's actually the conviction of the heart that causes man to repent.. because of the sin he's living in...

    What bible are you reading?

    The bible of false doctrination?

  • Romans 2:4 - "Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?"

  • to jamesmere....in 2007 Rob Bell had a dominican nun teach reiki at his church in grandville michigan can you show me where reiki is mentioned as christian in the bible? these people are NOT christian they are apostate!!! this is an excellent and truthful parody. did anyone question Jesus when he whipped the money changers? doing ungodly, unbiblical things and calling them christian does not make them christian!!!

  • With all due respect, please tell me where the scripture says that Jesus whipped the money changers. The scripture says he took a whip and drove out the animals that the money changers were selling and he over turned tables, all the while he was reciting Isaiah 56, "My house will be a house of prayer... (the rest of the context says, for all)" The scripture does not say that he ever struck or hit any of the money changers, I'm sure he was an annoyance and probably scared a few of them...

  • But if he had actually hit them, that would be causing an unprovoked riot and the Romans would have arrested him then and there. So yes I question someone when they attack people... please be very careful about how you use the word apostate, that is a very serious accusation. Tell me have you read the man's books? Have you listened to his preaching? Have you have watched the videos? Have you talked to him? Have you heard his heart? Answer those questions before you pass judgment.

  • why would a christian brother be on a video bashing every christian brother or sister who ever who ever did street ministry. You can't tell me that's not what he's doing. I believe we should be encouraging these year 2008 John the baptists.

  • If you do not understand what he is talking about you may want to ask for clarification instead of putting words in his mouth that disparage one who you should call a Christian brother?

  • What in the world is this guy talking about??????????? basically what he's saying is don't make people feel uncomfortable or don't preach the gospel.... I can't recall any message that Jesus or any of his followers gave that wasn't uncomfortable.

  • Calling Bell a heretic would mean that you've evaluated his theology and found it unorthodox. He does believe in substitutionary atonement and preaches it all the time. He does believe Jesus is God. He also believes that being well-read is better than being ignorant. So be careful where you place those judgments.

Bullhorn Guy is about people not loving like a Christian should. It's not about righteous anger or action in community. It's about replacing relationship with a loud unheard voice.

  • nicely done, sir. and it might get us crucified one day too...

  • so bullhorn guy is the next Messiah?

  • i'm not sure you get what is going on.

  • II Tim. 2:19 - "Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

II Tim. 2:23-25 - "But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patiently, in humility correcting those who are in opposition..."

Don't just quote 4:3-4 - read the whole book!

  • yes but keep 3 tim. 7-11 in mind

make ye a sign of wood and dress ye up liketh dutch boy. say made up facts like "Jesus spoke more on hell than anything else." or "turn or burn" and "God is going to send angry Jebus to smite thee." lol peace I like you kid!

  • Please dont place your preacher over the Word.

    2 timothy 4: 3-4

3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

  • the fact is bullhorn works. GO see for urself in any third world country and see first hand how the gospel has been and is being preached and how people are being saved. I see more people worrying abt rob bell than the way the gospel was presented in the Gospel in the first place. Wake up people to the reality as written in the scriptures not as said by Mr.Nice guy.

  • you are retarted... i mean really. why would you tare down such an amazing teacher. God loves us, but sin is sin- and God hates it! He doesn't hate the person- just the sin. So don't say that God loves everyone no matter what- because He will judge and hold pepole to His standard- you need to read your Bible.

  • i can't believe you're satirizing Rob Bell.

you need to seriously pray about your attitude and you motivations in rebuking a (fellow?) child of God in such a petty way. don't show "clips" of Jesus, back up your problems with his doctrinal teaching with scripture. all i'm hearing hearing from you is sarcastic prodding remarks mocking a good mans genuine attempt to change the world to better conform to God's character.

even if you don't pray about this cynical attitude of yours, i will.

  • Bell may be a "good man" but the fact is he's a false teacher. He does not preach the Goespel of repentance and faith. He does not teach about the substitutionary atonement or about God's righteous requirements. In fact, in the back of his book, Velvet Elvis he recommends 2 NewAge author's books for people to read...doesn't sound like a "good" teacher at all.

  • There is hope, Now is the time, this is for for all those affected by rob bell, mars hill, or the emergent church it's not spam, it's just a group standing for truth.

This is for anyone that the words "NOOMA , Rob Bell, Mars Hill Church, or The Emergent Church" ring a bell

    facebook(dot)com/group(dot)php?gid=10550799883

  • Brother you are missing the point! Stop making fun of your brothers and join them we are in this together as a unit not to make fun of each other love, reflect, serve stop wasting your time judging! its sad

  • Here's the difference:

Jesus was judging HIS people - the Jews. He was not judging those outside his religion. In fact, you never see him judging those outside his religion - only offering love, mercy, and forgiveness.

Likewise, as followers of Jesus, we can (even should) judge those inside the church. But bullhorn man was judging and condemning non-believers. That is out of line and that drives people away from Jesus.

Rob Bell is on target and this critic is missing the point.

  • i thought the whole point of this video is that we're not suppose to take this guy seriously.. hes talking like he's someone who witnessed Jesus' anger at the people making a marketplace out of the church, and not understanding. Like the rest of the Jews who didn't understand what Jesus was doing. Think about it! This is an ignorant point of view, and thats the point.

  • when rob bell made the "bullhorn" noom. i dont think he was attacking the guy directly i think he was attacking the meathod of puting a bullhorn to someones ears and yelling that you are a sinner and God is angry and is going to send his wrath on you.

    (read next comment)

  • when Jesus went out to preach, he did talk about the love God has for them. he wasnt yelling at them (well he did have to yell to have 5000 people hear him..but thats different). Christ didnt come down to condem people, he came to show them God's love twards us. and think in that sinario of Jesus going into the temple and turning the tables... how would you react if a bunch of people came into your church and turned it into blackmarkets, gambling areas.

  • I'm surprised none of Rob Bell's supporters have brought up the fruits of the spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, self control.

I see none of these in the bullhorn guy, yet all of them in Rob Bell.

  • Yes it is true taht God loves each and every one of us so much no matter what, but that has nothing to do with the fact that he HATES sin! he hated it so much it caused him to pour out all of his wrath on his won son. This is exactly the type of feel good Christianity that is sweeping our nation today, diluting the truth of God and making people feel better about themselves to gain more numbers.

  • Cleverly done. I laughed quite a bit at the satire behind the similarities to the Nooma dvd "Bullhorn". Thanks for using a biblical example that makes a good point and exposes the false gospel that Rob Bell revealed in the Nooma dvd.

I could see some people potentially getting hung up on the satire, but I think it was tastefully done and didn't appear to be spiteful but served as a good example and exposed the "Bullhorn" episode to be at odds with Jesus' teaching.

  • Why is it that Christ was only angry at the judgmental religeous leaders? When didn't he tell the woman at the well that she was going to hell? Why didn't he preach fire and brimstone to the lady being stoned?

He loved the sinners into repentence, and expressed anger to the judgmental religeous leaders.

Each of us needs to ask where we are relative to those pharasees.

  • I dont agree with Rob Bell but I dont agree with agree with the maker of this video also. This video wasnt from God but from an upset man who I think made himself look wrong too. If I were a non- believer this video would actually turn me away from Christ. All I am trying to say is that you should also examine your heart also. God Bless

  • Well said.

  • Thank you for saying that! Grace and Peace!

  • once again continuing.........and honestly whens the last time you actually saw someone that was standing and shouting, about how everyone is going to hell, save someone? because when i, as a chrisitian, see that i dont want to be associated with him because all that person does is turn people off to God and Christians.

  • All Christians should be doing something similar, but it should be done in a loving way, not telling them, but helping them realize where they are headed because of breaking God's Law. Why? Because we dont want to see them go to hell.

  • First off, how do you turn someone off to God? Were they "on" or "neutral" before? No, people are already God's enemy. Second, I know two dear brothers who were saved by someone standing on a corner and sharing the truth of the Bible with them (you might call it screaming, but there is a difference between speaking loudly and screaming). And since when is success the measure of a method anyway?

  • continuing in reply to greekgoof ...... probly not cause if you did you would realize that he was only harsh with believers who lost there way such as the people in the temple who were selling and exchanging money....who wasnt harsh with non christians.

  • Wow this is just about one of the worst misunderstandings of scripture that I have ever seen. The Bible is full of scripture about God's Wrath. Maybe read Genesis, Isaiah, Romans, Revelation, Leviticus, actually pretty much the whole Bible talks about God's Wrath against sin. Learn how to read your Bible Bullhorn Guy, because you are surely creating a god in your image.

  • Whoa Greegoof, so now you are questioning whether Rob Bell is even a Christian? Based on what? Because you have assumed a position of being more "right" than he is, in your estimation? You are now his judge? What about righteousness vs right-ness? You're on dangerous ground here brother.

  • What about heresy vs truth? What about Matt 7? What about 1 Cor 5-6? What about Gal 1 and 5? What about the fact that Rob subtly says that Bullhorn Guy and those who disagree with Bell are not Christians? After Bell spews a bunch of nonsense, he then states that "a Christian is somebody who understands this . . ." So, if you don't understand "this", then you are not a Christian!

  • In case you care to check it out, it is at 5:40 on the Bullhorn video.

  • Did you even read the verses you stated! Matthew 7:1 - "Judge not lest you yourself be judged!" Yet you, in an earlier post, deny Rob Bell's Christianity. This behavior is appalling in the Church.

  • continuing form last comment.....and you probly shouldnt refer to Jesus as you (for those who probly dont understand this guy is basically talking like he's Jesus). this video was a waste of your time sir and you sound like your stoned or something.

  • Please re-watch the video; where does he talk like he is Jesus? He is talking to Jesus as Rob Bell would have, if he were a religious leader during that time. You have missed the point of this video, as well as Bell's. Bell mocks Bullhorn guy for quoting the Bible. Bell tells his audience that harsh things are un-Christian. However, Jesus did harsh things often. So either Bell is wrong, or Jesus is wrong. I am going to go with Jesus.

  • BTW, read through this thread, as well as the "Rob Bell/Nooma expose" thread, because Bell is probably not a brother in Christ.

  • ok well it is obvious to me that you completely missed the point of rob bell's video considering you are thinking that he is saying that harsh things are unchristian...he is saying that he went about it the wrong i have seen the video many times over...as far as "jesus did harsh things often?" well that is true but have you ever looked at who he did them too?

  • i signed up for a youtube account just so i could comment on this...first off why would you want to slander you own brother in the faith? and also you obviously missed the point of Rob Bell's video, which was that the guy who went to shout to the masses missed all the people he encountered on the way to alienating himself from them, continued on next commment

  • Loved it!

  • Your right, I guess I have to be harder on sin. Need to take the bullwhip out. Need to crack it. Need to confront all those people that are sinners that I am having dinner with and hit them with the truth and really yell at the sinner I have luch with beside the fountain, because Jesus wouldn't do that. he would use a whip. Your right. Thanks

  • Your missing the point. This is about a much larger issue in Christianty, which is stripping the "repentance" aspect from the saving truths of the gospel message. Paul was clear in Galatians that to get the gospel wrong, is to be cursed. Why? Because its the precious and saving truths God uses to save sinners like me, and you.

  • to the man who made this video, do you not believe in Jesus? I'm not really understanding what point you're trying to make with this video

  • michelle, he is exposing the namby pampy, milk and water, non-confrontational, soft on sin preachers of the modern day church(charles stanley, joel olsteen, rick warren, td jakes and so many others who have no zeal for holiness and dumb down the word to a weak limpwristed, unholy, damnable, belief system of lies and cheap grace

  • Well said!

  • I agree! Amen!!

  • It's not making fun of a minister. This exposes false teachers as Rob Bell is!

Jude 3 tells us to contend for the faith.

Bell preaches a gospel that is not in God's inerrant Word, the Bible. Bell does not preach the message of repentance and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Rob Bell fails. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears 2Tim.4:3,4

  • It saddens me that this guy went through all this time and energy to discredit, and from my perception, make fun of another minister. He has every right to disagree with Rob Bell, and even wanting to offer a slant that he feels would even out what he sees as an uneven message. But when he makes fun of the guy's gestures and creates a caricature of his character, I just don't see where that really advances the kingdom.

  • But it's ok for Rob Bell to do exactly the same thing? Bell does his best to make the street minister look like a complete dork. That, my friend is a caricature as well.

  • Rob Bell is a charlatan, a hirling and false teacher! He does not know the Living God, which is clearly showing with his arrogant, worldly, post modernistic and rebellious attitude! May the Lord rebuke him and cause him to repentence of his sins!

  • You show a distinct lack of understanding, both of the scriptures and the true nature of G-D's love, Yeshua (Jesus) actually was fulfilling the scripture that says 'zeal for your house will consume me' (psalm69vs9)And of course eventually HE was crucified...'for without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sin' (Hebrews 9vs22)G-D is a righteous and Holy G-D ! Slow to anger and abounding in Love (Numbers 14vs18) But he still punishes the guilty.

  • Rob Bell is an astounding idiot. Keep kicking his anti-Messiah ass.

  • seriously? You use curses like this as you speak about someone being an anti-Messiah!

  • Your an idot.

  • nice parody...but you missed the point of Rob's message...

  • nope. this guy got it right on. :-) Bell is full of something... and whatever it is, it isn't of God.

  • There is zero difference between a so-called religious sinner and a non-religious sinner. Religion is just another man-made activity.

This video is brilliant and a nice condemnation of the cocksure ignorance of heretics like Rob Bell.

  • (cont.) This is the point that Rob Bell makes. He is simply saying that these people are going about it the wrong way.

  • (cont.) Now Jesus had dealings with a good few prostitutes, beggars, cripples and other people who were seen as complete outcasts and sinners, but he doesn't go around shouting in their faces, condemning them. He forgives them and encourages them to lead a sin free life, but does it in a non-aggressive, non-threatening way that many people who stand on street corners shouting do not do.

  • I think you've completely missed the point. Jesus did this because he was outraged at what was going on inside his Father's House (The Temple). They were supposedly religious people going about things completely the wrong way. This was his righteous anger.

  • R.Bells church is just across the street from me...now I know why I have felt hesitation to just stroll over and spend time there (save gas!). I miraculously came to Christ over a quarter of a century ago, and was full of zeal but had been beaten down spiritually in the last couple of years. Little by little I am awakening once again. Thanks for these Video reminders of whats Truth.

  • Your brilliant. Keep them coming. Sad but so true of all evangelicalism today.

  • With that said, Paul discusses in Philippians 1 people preaching the gospel with false motives and his response is "Whats wrong? The Gospel is being preached!" His point being (I think) that we shouldn't be judging the motives of those who are out there preaching the gospel- I believe that is a method Satan uses to create a wedge between believers and create a spirit of disunity! (I wrote too much for 1 response so I that's why it is split up)

  • With that said, Paul discusses in Philippians 1 people preaching the gospel with false motives and his response is "Whats wrong? The Gospel is being preached!" (I wrote too much for 1 response so I that's why it is split up- this was supposed to come 2nd)

  • I find it somewhat ironic that we live in an age where even Christians are trying to suppress preaching the Gospel. However, let me make it clear that when I think of preaching 'The Gospel' I mean in a holistic sense- touching on both humanity's sinfulness and need for a Savior AND the love God has for us displayed through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross!

  • Here's the problem with this: Who was the Bullhorn Guy talking to? Who was the Bullwhip Guy talking to?

The Bullhorn Guy was talking to non-religious sinners. The Bullwhip Guy was talking to religious sinners.

The Bullhorn Guy is a religious sinner, so you do the math.

  • That is a bunch of hokem and a false dichotomy that liberal emergents like Rob Bell use to justify not telling telling people of their sins and the warning them of the coming wrath of God.

Religious and non-religious sinners are all still sinners and need to understand that fact BEFORE the gospel message of Christ's forgiveness will make any sense whatsoever.
