  • I have 6 magnets disk shaped very strong 1 inch in diameter would they work ?

  • nice dude

  • Hey there, the shopkeeper asked me about the polarity of the magnet or some sort of specific power classification when i went to purchase em. Can u guide me about it, what should I tell him ?

  • Connect the copper wire to a motor instead and connect the motor to the nail causing it to run itself.

  • what LED is that like value and voltage..

  • great work ! after i rectify it any advice on which capacitor can store enough to power a small radio perhaps? mine pumps out around 11 volts ac(:-)... so after dc conversion which capacitor rating will work? plz reply ..

  • would the same electrical current be created if the wires were wound the same direction the magnets were turning?

  • lisp much poster lol spit much too?

  • Now build a motor to make spin that nail, and power it with the generator.

  • Hammers type is more efficient! Phaethon has some odd ideas about E-M current. He claims spinning magnets send electrons into the coils??? This is not true - the mag-field EXITES the electrons & the polarity determines current flow. With high hertz oscillations the electrons don't even move much (back & forth).

  • @PhotonDrive hey thanx for clearing that up. ac to bridge rectifier to dc makes more sense to me now also.

  • Man i have build one but i can't turn on the led. How much copper whe need?

  • 600ft of #30 wire can light a red LED if you spin the magnets fast enough. Or use less wire, and use a tiny 1.5v 20milliampere "grain of wheat" light bulb from Radio Shack.

  • Thanks man but to made that I use a circular magnet and I use a cilinder to turn on my led.

Finaly I built my electric generator.

  • nice generator!

  • i need help look at my messege

  • I sent you a message

  • I have a question, wont adding a simple handle to the nail make it easier to turn and it will produce more electricity because the wheel is turning fast right?

  • No, it would spin slower with a crank.

  • thats not true. in fact, with a simple 2 gear system and hand crank, you could easily produce enough electricity to make the LED seem to have a continuous glow.

  • A hand crank wit no gearing would be slower than just a straight rod.

If you geared it, it might be faster.

  • that is a lie.

  • How is that a lie? Spin a pencil with just your fingers, then add a crank, then spin it at the same speed. You get less speed, but more torque.

  • i can spin a handle more rpm than u can spin a pencil.
