  • BRAZIL AND VIOLENT BUT NOT TO SPEAK LIES FOR Invading countries to steal oil

  • amazing

  • i see Gun shots in ER show in the US all the time

  • I just have to say that while they don't vanish the "favela" from Rio de Janeiro, this city will remain dangerous and unsafe for every citizen or tourists, it's a city ruled by criminals.

  • What do you guys have to say about the Okland, Ca violence?? Is that any bigger difference? The answer is not. Okland is one example over several cities that develop countries have with violence problems; USA does not publish around the word its violence. It is the only and main difference between them.

  • Don't go to Rio or Large cities in Brazil. Its really crazy. I am from Brazil, but , if you care for your life, just don't go.

  • this video is wrong about the real brazilian capital. The brazilian capital is brasilia, dont forget it

  • I tired of this media. Those who badmouth Brazil have no idea. Before my first trip to Brazil (Sao Paulo & Rio), people told me to be very careful so when I got there I kept my eyes open. However, I walked everyday in downtown Sao Paulo and Rio and didn't see any crime or violence. In fact people were very friendly and I can't hardly wait to go back there. I love Brazil and the brazilian people are the best. I was treated better than in my own country :(

  • That may be the case, but there is simply no arguing that it is one of the most dangerous cities on the planet, at least in terms of its murder rate.

  • I just got back from Rio and I loved it such an awesome place cant wait to go back!! i loved it so much on the plan ride back i was working out how long i would have to save to back!! love that place and the people!!

  • thats cuz your a gringo u never been to the bad part so bequiet

  • the death rate is big cause cops kill many thugs in Rio, cause the thugs in rio are heavily armed.

  • this just in Rio.

  • Yes =) It does make sense... =) Thanks, dude.

  • Why does the video caption say "Brazilian capital" if the video is in Rio?

  • Perhaps because Rio is a state capital?

  • 35,000 people killed a year?

Even if the drug gangs operate in the areas, what does killing civilians, and doctor have to do with their business?

Is it about money or is it about terrorizing neighborhoods and making body counts?

  • That's so sad about the police officer answering the cell phone. Makes me cry.

  • Legalize drugs so that dealers don't shoot other dealers, since the government will be selling all the drugs.

  • people have been fed propaganda by the government for so long the simple and correct suggestion you just made will almost always be dismissed by those who haven't learned to think beyond the 15 second sound byte they get on the evening news.

  • This is crazy...

Brazil is totally embedded in violence, please Europeans don't came here... Let our politicians wake up when your money don't appear in they rubbish pockets...

  • damn dats a crazy city

  • This is disappointing, I though crime rates hate improved in Brazil. I've always wanted to travel Brazil, but a good friend of mine told me of his experience getting robbed while on holiday, stripped to his underwear and left without his passport, money, ect. All because he wanted to catch some waves on the beach, but at least he was not murdered.

  • like any other big city in the world.

  • Not in my country GS420B, and not in most of Europe, just America and most of the third world. Not in Japan, India, and many other countries. This is far from the nor in most big cities, in fact this is what I would expect to see in Mexico or something like that-sorry.

  • there is high violence in every part of the world. USA, Mexico, South Africa, Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia, Jamaica, Ireland, New Zealand even in Canada. In Brazil there are more death cause here our police kill more than any other. I´m from Rio and it´s not like the press show. I have a normal life with quality. In Rio violence is different cause there is the slums wich is dificult to control. There are many cities in Brazil with high HDI like many cities in Europe.

  • Onl thing you know about Brazil is from press, they invent many things. Come to Brazil and see for yourself. You can stay in my house fo sure. If you dont know you cant express your opinio. Ik know cause i lived in Los Angeles, and for me things are very similar in Rio.

  • GreenStain420Brazil,

My good friend has made man trips to Brazil, and has been robbed twice, once while in the city, and once while he was boogie boarding! They even made stripped him out of his O'Neil wet suit leaving him only with his boxers, which he had to convince them to give. He still goes, he loves it, but he tells me how you have to look like you are not worth robbing, how he has to dress down, no name brand clothes, no wallet, no shave, ect.

  • Hey my friend got robbed too in Vancouver, so what´s the point? Maybe cause he was in the wrong place in Canada, just like your friend. You talk like every part in brazil is dangerous, we are huge bro, many places in brazil theres no violence. maybe your friend was in the wrong place for sure. dont be fool. dont beleive in everyhing man

  • GS420B,Ok, I point well taken, you can get robbed, killed, ect, anywhere, & every man has to travel the world in his lifetime. Also violence is going up globally anyways, crime IS up in Canada as well as everywhere else. Thanks for shedding some light on things from an insiders perspective, you've changed my mind, plus this is just a 2:38 news clip. You should try Canada as well, it's a lovely country. Also Brazilian women are incredible beauties.

  • man let tell, I just love Canada, specially Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal, everything bro. I try to go but my visa was denied i dont know why, then i went to New Zealand last year. For sure i will go there one day.

  • dont blame a whole country cause just Rio. Come to brazil and see for your self, i bet you are gonna love it. Brazil is the fifth largest country by geographical area, the fifth most populous country. BRazil is the 10th economy in the world. Canada is 9th, so Brazil is leaving the 3rd world and becoming 1st world country man, according to Guardian. so get informerd about brazil. Brasil is not just Rio or slums.

  • I have always wanted to travel Brazil, and love Brazilian food, culture, and it's people, and especially their sense of humor, but the criminal element seems too risky bro'. The fact that you would offer me to stay in your home is very good of you, very touching, I guess I'm going to rethink my ideas about Brazil, your right. BTW Canada is raising it's rank as well, we are second in oil, our dollar has gained a stronger exchange rate than the states, and it's bound to get better as well.

  • you can come for sure, of course in Rio you have to know the city, but there are many other cities in Brazil to go, not only rio.

  • Here is not a mess like press show outside brazil. Rio has some problems fo sure, the country is huge just like canada, theres many places to go.

  • you can stay in my house fo sure, i live now in Brasilia, the capital.

  • Damn ignorants they don't realize the facts about Brazil and its greatness

  • Dude, Brazil is a fucking slum country with entire sections of your cities rules bye gangs. Get a grip will you. Pelé woun´t balance that fact..

  • Have you ever been to the south Bronx? it's a 300,000 plus slum...american cities are full of slums..I'm American iKNow..the problem is these countries wanna be like America, guns drugs and gangs...they wanna be like us..you'll die like us..welcome to murdeer inc. Brazil!

  • Please, wake up and get out of LaLa Land. If you think ANY part of the U.S is as bad as Brazil, you've been watching too many movies.

Brazil is one of the most violent places on earth.

If you check the "top 20 countries by intentional homicide rate" wikipedia page, it is #14 right after countries like Somalia, South Africa & Liberia. Hell, they even beat Iraq which comes in at #16.

United States comes in around #48 or 49 I think. So please, don't compare.

  • If you think no part of the US is as bad as "Brazil", you've been watching way too much CNN...

Detroit's makes São Paulo looks like a kindergarten.

  • @ApexIXMR what are you talking about? there's poverty in every country. Brazil may be #14 in homicide by the homicide capital of the world is New Orleans in USA, USA, USA. New Orleans has had the highest homicide rate in the world for the past decade, it only lost last year to Tijuana, Mexico because of the cartel drug wars (killings) going on there.

  • I meant to type.... but New Orleans is the homicide capital of the world.

  • Your insane. I don't know where you are getting your facts from. New Orleans? LoL.

  • @ApexIXMR yep... you are the one insane... go back to school!

  • google it.... New Orleans was once the murder capital of the world!

  • Stupid Europeans...

  • Stupid European with money, safety and political non-corruption thinking..

  • "political non-corruption"?

    In your dreams, maybe.

Money? Which money? The only money European countries have is the VIRTUAL one. Europe lives from DEBTS. Europe has no money. Europe lives from the expectation that they are able to PAY for their debts...

And, honestly... I'm not sure that they are... And I think the whole world is start to think exactly the same thing...

    Safety?

    ahuahauahauhauaha

Never saw subways exploding in Brazil or terrorist groups acting like beasts...

  • Im sure that Fernando Caceres agrees.

  • ?

Who the hell is Fernando Caceres?

  • Europe besides USA, is the richest in the world.
