@moniequa I wonder why would you think of Africa when they werent part of Africa in the first place. Accent and attitude doesnt really represent everything.
@OurMindBodyNSoul if it doesn't represent anything, why in the hell stupid people act like that. Where in the hell did they get those stupid accents from?
@moniequa From the US of A, where the government place them in the first place. It's just a way of speaking plus it is not stupid. African people dont really speak with this accent, unless they're from America. Go pick up books on geography/history or at least mix around with people. That will broaden ur horizon more b4 commenting. There are no stupid people on earth.
@OurMindBodyNSoul, I know, there is no such accent in Africa that is why it is even more irritating to hear it. If it's just a way of speaking then why not speak it properly. Have you ever heard any intelligent people speaking ghetto English? Do you want to see a Dr. that behaves like a thug with a ghetto accent or one with a great communication skill? There are stupid people on this planet that 's why some of them got deported. I doubt it they got deported for being productive.
@moniequa What is more irritating than someone who cant engage conversation in English at all? I see they are pretty much articulate and expressive albeit the grammatical errors. Have you heard of Singlish? What really defines intelligence? Is it simply knowledge, wisdom or something else entirely? Or only through their job title? No, i do not wish for a Dr. that behaves like a thug but i have witness professionals behaving immorally.
@OurMindBodyNSoul, To me it's more irritating to communicate with artificial thugs than someone who can't speak English at all. I'm not labeling anyone, I only state facts, these people can't speak English, and they grew up in the US. Many are also placed in where choices are limited but they strive to become productive people. If our deportees are intelligent and intelligence means the capacity to acquire and apply knowledge, they shouldn't have been in this predicament at all.
@moniequa I understood that. Sometimes, these type of accent irks me abit but not to the extend of getting out of control. Well, maybe that's just me. I had friends who speak like this even tho' they're not from the ghetto. Lol. You can state facts but try not to use words that are demeaning. People have feelings, you know. True, the stronger ones survive but the weaker ones need the helping hands too, right? I guess that's just how life is - we can never achieve peace and serenity.
@moniequa Labeling people as stupid is not a wise things to say when we are far from perfect. To err is human. I think people behave the way they are due to the whole environment? The are put in a place where choices are limited. What if it were to be me or you. I suppose our opinions may change. Try put yourself in someone's shoe. Peace~
i use to live in cambodia when i was 12 years old till 18 years old .. so i know how it sucks, if u dont got money out there mann you are nothigg 4real.. but now im back so im doing good and try to stay outta trouble
in the 2 min section what he says about INS calling him up for a check up is all true they did that to my uncle when he was released from prison ..they said it was a check up then bam got him...i was pissed cause he was turn his life around and started spending more time with his family then the ins took all that away..fuck the INS
good story ..man they deported my cousin Dy ...he ws one of those first people they shipped back..he was featured in the Vibe magazine with sean paul on the cover ..showin his bullet wounds
I understand about the minor crimes...i agree its unfair to get deported for that..bbt
in the other hand those who get sent back for them heavy crime such as rape and murder, then getting deported is a second chance, its either that or 25 to life.
@rockstar42 I do agree with you, except almost all of these ppl have served their time. So if they are facing 25 yrs to life, they do not have the luxury to choose. They have to served their sentence first, then upon their released they probably will be deported.
Gangsta Monk...sound like a good movie idea:) I wish them best of luck!
