What seems worrying is this patetic and overblown Pinoy pride things seems to be solely focused on shallow popstars, bad actresses and Pinay boxers. OK, these individuals happen to have Fillipino descent and are sucsessfull, relativly speaking that is - So what? Also, the problem is that politics is way too involved in sports. Plus, we need a better system for our sports. We didn't even have try-outs for Olympics. We just sent some athletes who won some international competitions without actual try-outs. Heck, Michael Phelps had to go through try-outs even though he was already the most famous swimmer in the world. Really, this is why Pacquiao shouldn't run for politics since he would be instrumental in changing our sports system for its betterment.
