Music is F*&_*&n awesome. Don't change the recipie or the music. The world is filled with stupid critiques that don't know how to adjust volume levels. IDIOTS!
Thank you for making this Video! I made Potato Varenyky on my own two days ago, and I had the Dough alittle to thick, Now I know how to make them right, but over all the First batch I did was very tasty, I started getting a Craving for them after that! I am going to make more Today:). Thanks Again.
I will be going with my husband to learn to make them with his Aunt and their family tomorrow. It is a big thing in their family. All my husband's uncles and aunt make them. Each a little different with different fillings my husband loves kraut and pork the best :)
I really, really enjoyed this video and like other people mentioned. It's great to see grandmothers passing down traditions! I plan to try to make them on my own. I love the video and feel more confident to try! Thank you!
My late Mom used to make varenyky and Lord I miss them. She used a dry farmer's cottage cheese, boiled them and served them up with a pyrex cup of melted butter. We were little so my Mom let us eat them with her homemade raspberry jam, sometimes strawberry. My brother and I would make a contest of seeing who could eat the most, something she loved! Borscht, cabbage rolls and other great stuff I need to learn to make.
Cute video! Thanks for sharing! I've watched 4 videos on how to make pierogies today and all of them had music instead of talking - I was starting to wonder if something was happening with YouTube until I saw your comments and saw there was supposed to be music here. I want to try some with potatoes and sauerkraut instead of the cheese.
My grandma came from the Ukraine. She always bolied her pierogis, but sometimes fried the leftovers in a pan with the leftover onions and butter. It's very good. I eat them with sliced tomato and bacon for breakfast sometimes. Or just normal with sourcream. Give it a try :)

Its good to see skills being handed down, so many times small bits and pieces of culture and life vanish forever.

Ground beef and onions?? That is sambosek. We are talking about the real old-fashioned fillings.
