I can relate to your story as we lost our dobie girl Bailey to this horrible disease in November 2010. She got really bad very fast to where she'd take one step then go down. I'd just had torn bicep surgery so it was extremely hard for me to help her with only one arm. Knowing we couldn't afford any treatments with me not working so we had to let her go....watching these videos rips at my heart all over again as I still see her with this infliction...
Wellington was one of the most special dogs I ever met. His neurologist said it was the worst case of Wobbler's he'd ever seen and gave him less than a year to live. He did succumb to the disease and we had him humanely euthanized right here in the only home he'd ever known. I miss him every day.
i have a dobe girl with a similar story, not wobblers but +vWD we brought her in my house with every intention of finding her a better home, and well, shes snuggled against my leg right now.
He is a handsome boy, hope you found him a good loving home. My girl dobie Duchess has wobbler's also. She can run like the wind, and has a great time playing with my other dobie Duke. She makes about a dozen circles before she lies down, and some times she falls when she gets to excited. I got her from a Doberman rescue 5 years ago. She now has a loving home and get the big couch all to herself.

p.s. I never did adopt him out. He stayed right here and knew he was loved every minute of every day.
