HAD THE PLEASURE OF A LESSON FROM THIS BLOKE. a VERY NICE GUY, SUPERB TEACHER AND TOTALLY WORLD CLASS PLAYER. SHOULD BE A HOUSEHOLD NAME..WOULD BE IF HE WAS THIS GOOD AT FOOTBALL.
Look closer, it moves with his a finger and is relaxed - its just his hands naturel posture.. And for the record his injury wasn't due to his technique.. it was covered in the comments section of another video..
The more i watch him the more convinced I am that he had one of the most refined techniques among all modern guitarist
I heard that too, I'd love to know what happened? Simon is my old teacher from the Birmingham Conservatoire. He had the most incredible technique I have ever seen, he is always so relaxed.

I was wrong earlier...this is an Antonio Lamaq guitar NOT a Bert Kwakkel. Simon could make any guitar sound amazing

The DVD that this is taken from is available on ebay - it's an amazing DVD, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys guitar of any kind.

I think this guitar is a Bert Kwakkel (Dutch Luthier) This guitar was sold with new Slone tuners (black ones)

He holds his pinky out straight on his right hand....I wouldn't be surprised if thats what caused his problems.
Its real shame. this is probably the best version I've heard on youtube.
Awesome tone.
