this could've been prevented when he was convicted of sexual asault. 18months? that's just a shake of the finger, not even a slap on the wrist. of course things got worse for everyone involved.

Fritzl was already convicted of raping a woman in Linz in 1967 and was sentenced to a term in prison. The social services, three times, made it possible Fritzl to adopt his/her children born of the inceste. He brought food, clothing, accessories, furniture, etc and during 24 years NOBODY in the family of Fritzl or in his circle of friends suspected anything ? Why the Austrian police force did not seek to find Elisabethin the most obvius place ?
