This reminds me of the old Mickey and Pluto cartoon. A parrot falls out of a moving van in the rain and goes into Mickeys basement (Mickey and Pluto are paniced about an escaped killer reported on the radio), parrot and Pluto eventually duke it out just like this.
What! No penis jokes in this video? I mean come on Internet, the video practically quotes "playing with his willy"! I've seen people make fun of less "particular" videos!
Aren't you afraid that the parrot is going to pierce your dog's eye or something? Because, it's a big parrot and they have a very strong beak. Once I was bitten in my finger by a small one and it hurt big time.
About 10 years ago my friend was out of town, he brought me his parrot and asked me to keep an eye on it. I had a cat and dog back then (actually I still have them both). The dog (middle size dachshund) wan't interested at all. I put the cage under the ceiling. The first day I got home the cage was open and the parrot was eaten alive by cat. How? It's still a mystery for me...
@Glendale1901 why? if the mess come, belive me, the parrots don't loose! he just fly away...that's it,and a parrot are very strong animal. stop to see animal abuse for everything! it's not!
@mdjcafe1217 parrots might fly away IF THEY HAVE WINGS.. but most pet birds have their flight feathers clipped. I raised 5 cockatiels and I learned to clip them myself after vet taught me. i know and our vet encouraged it and refused to see any patients who came in without clipped wings. It was for safety & so they could be easier to catch.
@crosswind76 Dont ever clip a bird's wings ! They are birds they are meant to fly !!! if you dont like the way birds fly them dont buy one cuz they're not for you then !!!
@metronomic1 I agree, but I was seeing if that previous commenter would follow the same logical thought process, which he did, so I was done speaking to him; although wing-clipping I feel would be about as tragic as getting your hair cut.
Also don't swear as much when making a point :p Even if you are right
@arkeljankushova You are a fucking idiot. Large domesticated birds have to have their wings clipped otherwise they can hurt themselves trying to fly in the house, or will fly away outside. Dumb fuck.
@metronomic1 as i thought from reading your comments , you are an idiot, a retarded idiot !!! YOU are the one who shoud make your room Bird proof so they do not hurt themselves !!!! @arkeljankushova you are a fuckin retard....i have a bird and have had his wings clipped...because 1.) it changes their behaviour in the sense that become more testy...at least thats what ive experienced with my bird 2.) they can hurt themselves because rooms in houses or apartments arent big enough for a flying bird 3.) most birds fly fast so if they see a window or a mirror they will fly full speed into it without knowing there is glass in their way....god your an idiot
@propilotcfi You are the fuckin person who should make your room BIRD PROOF so they dont hurt themselves !!!!!! u R the fuckin retard who does not understand the point of letting your bird out of its cage !!!! The point is so they can stretch their wing fly !!!! And you are the freakin person who should cover your windows with a shade or somthing so they dont fly at them !! PS God your so stupid
@arkeljankushova lol...god you are so ignorant...no matter how "bird proof" a house is....a bird will always find a way. Same thing for a dog or cat or any pet for that matter. it is impossible to full "bird proof" any house or apartment because there is an infinite number of things that can kill a bird in a normal house hold. I cover my windows and have shades, but whats stopping someone from leaving the bathroom door open and the bird flying and heading striaght into the miror
@arkeljankushova once again...if you can READ my comment....there are some times when YOU can't control what another person does. I personally make sure that it is closed to the point where the mirror is not in view however, when people are over and i let him out and do his thing other people might now close the door. jeesh...you gotta chill out with the anger...might want to get that checked out...are you mad bro?
@galaxypa No, If birds are let in the same room to fly freely for like a long period of time they will get used to the surroundings and not fly in the walls !!! You are the one who should make your house Bird proof!
@arkeljankushova on most occasions I agree, but my cockatiel Kira hit so many things while flying in the house (mostly windows, with or without curtains) so we clipped her wings so she wouldn't kill herself. Justin (my Princess of Wales parrot) has yet to hit anything while in flight so I leave his wings alone.
Oh my gosh, its a boxer!! I love boxers and i love macaws so great video! I have two boxers and am hoping to bring a blue and gold into the growing family!!
@rottielover44 These animals aren't "limited" by anything except their own instincts, which often lead them to violence. It doesn't matter how well this owner thinks they know their animals. Both of these animals are clearly agitated and it's ignorant to think that they will "play nice" like the owner might hope. It's cute until one of them loses an eye.
@dranalytical "Very involved"? What exactly are you seeing that I'm not? The involvement here was someone saying "be good" while the parrot lunged at the dog. It would take a split second for all of this to turn bloody.
I sure hope that those defending this guy don't have children yourselves.
That bird might just rip off the dogs nose someday. We once had on and if it gets scared look out, one ripped off nose laying on the floor or at the very least a piece of it.
nobody talking on this page knows anything about genetics or breed standards.. If you have not studied these things then please stop pretending to have any knowledge on the topic whatsoever.
@QuikskopingClan2012 Boxers are very intelligent, I'd say up there with Labs and Shepherds. They're just very stubborn and have minds of their own and usually aren't super motivated to please if it means doing something they don't want to do, unlike, say, Labradors. They're easily in the top 10% intelligence wise. Most people just don't bother training them because of the stubbornness, which makes the dogs appear less smart than they are.
@marshalljimduncan They don't exist. Boxer DNA doesn't have the capability to produce black fur, only Fawn or Bridle (even "white" Boxers are just fawn or brindle Boxers with excessive white markings).
"Black" Boxers are either very, very dark brindles or, in the case of this dog, 95% Boxer mixed with some other breed that can produce black fur. Looks exactly like a Boxer but has just enough "other" genetic material to produce the black color.
@marshalljimduncan That said, I'm not a jerk who's going to rag on someone's dog. I'd call this dog a Boxer. It looks like a Boxer (other than the coat), acts like one, etc. The AKC might not recognize it, but who cares? Unless you're breeding show dogs or something, the AKC shouldn't matter.
Heck, that "extra" DNA might make this dog less prone to get cancer, which is what the vast majority die from, which means many more years of happy memories with his family! :)
@Inhumantics Thank you for the reply. I have owned a purebred Fawn; and it was responsibly Cropped and Docked to breed standard; as it is the healthiest option for the breed, despite some silly Euro countries, silly adoption of a a left-leaning, tree hugger peta backed agenda. Ours lived a healthy and happy 13 years; and never suffered any physical or emotional damage that needed years of therapy because of her CnD
@cincyblows "Dr. Irene Pepperberg's research with captive African greys, most notably with a bird named Alex, has scientifically demonstrated that they possess the ability to associate simple human words with meanings, and to intelligently apply the abstract concepts of shape, colour, number, zero-sense, etc. According to Pepperberg and other ornithologists, they perform many cognitive tasks at the level of dolphins, chimpanzees, and even a human toddler."
@cincyblows "Alex understood the turn-taking of communication and often the syntax used in language.[10] He called an apple a "banerry", which Pepperberg thought to be a combination of "banana" and "cherry", two fruits he was more familiar with."
It never suprises me how ignorant morons such as youself make remarks without actually reading. Dogs copy but animals such as primates and birds are actually "intelligent" on a whole different level.
@cincyblows Alex (parrot)- "Listing Alex's accomplishments in 1999, Pepperberg said he could identify 50 different objects and recognize quantities up to six; that he could distinguish seven colors and five shapes, and understand the concepts of "bigger", "smaller", "same", and "different", and that he was learning "over" and "under".
@cincyblows Where is your proof that dogs learn associations between cause and effect? I will email you the proof on parrots and the studies done on them. They far exceed what dogs are able to do.
BEAUTIFUL BLACK BOXER.I want him!!!! Have a fawn and a white, and now I really want a black one.DO you know a breeder that has black ones, can't find any here in SC?
@orland9999 And that is not fact, what the facts are is what they do. What you say and what science says are explinations (guesses) based on those facts. No matter how many times they test out their explinations to be true - it will become an absolute truth.
@finnsia Yes birds (parrots)are smarter then dogs by a lot..proven not opinion. The science backs this up. Alex an african grey could pick out a key out of other things on a table, could count and do so many other things. This is different then mimic which is just copying. Some animals that are way above dogs are macaws, chimps, dolphins.
@orland9999 I don't think you understood what I wrote. Who's to say what intelligence is in the first place? Science is capable of verifying explinations of facts. A fact is that a bird can pick out a key. Scientists will come up with an explination with that. Facts always exist and have existed since the beginning of time. Explications are ever evolving as time goes by.
If anything I think the bird would be more likely to hurt the dog with a quick snap from its beak. Most people dont realize a lot of tropical birds (especially males) are very territorial and have clipped beaks because in the wild they use them to break open just about anything.
@CyrustheVirus1234 Thats kind of funn because with most parakeets, the male is calm and they speak clearer than the females, the females are very aggressive.
Man that dog isnt gonna hurt tht bird. I have a pitbull and her and my cockatiel play all the time and not once has she bit or let alone growled at him. She could eat him in one bite, but has she? No. Bcuz dogs have a sense tht if they know theyre not supposed to do something, they dont.
My boxer tries to do the same thing with out sulphur crested cockatoo! Except our bird gets him all the time! right on the lips..!! and he still comes back for more! silly dog!
I have a black (brindle) boxer and she is the most amazing and caring dog... If I got a pound every time someone said to me "Wow! I have never seen a black boxer!"
don't have the macaw confront the big dog..there are many accidents where the dog usually would hurt and injure the bird.....please don't provoke your pets to kill each other... Usually the dog would win over the bird and the bird would be the one that would get injured and also die... otherwise send the bird to a shelter or people that can really willing able to care for it..

@orland9999 And that is not fact, what the facts are is what they do. What you say and what science says are explinations (guesses) based on those facts. No matter how many times they test out their explinations to be true - it will become an absolute truth.
finnsia 2 months ago
@finnsia Yes birds (parrots)are smarter then dogs by a lot..proven not opinion. The science backs this up. Alex an african grey could pick out a key out of other things on a table, could count and do so many other things. This is different then mimic which is just copying. Some animals that are way above dogs are macaws, chimps, dolphins.
orland9999 2 months ago
@orland9999 I don't think you understood what I wrote. Who's to say what intelligence is in the first place? Science is capable of verifying explinations of facts. A fact is that a bird can pick out a key. Scientists will come up with an explination with that. Facts always exist and have existed since the beginning of time. Explications are ever evolving as time goes by.

why keep a macaw as a pet? Stupid people....
rramone 2 months ago
@rramone As long as they have enough space and give it plenty of attention, I don't see why it's stupid to keep a macaw as a pet...

If anything I think the bird would be more likely to hurt the dog with a quick snap from its beak. Most people dont realize a lot of tropical birds (especially males) are very territorial and have clipped beaks because in the wild they use them to break open just about anything.
CyrustheVirus1234 2 months ago 36
@CyrustheVirus1234 Thats kind of funn because with most parakeets, the male is calm and they speak clearer than the females, the females are very aggressive.

Man that dog isnt gonna hurt tht bird. I have a pitbull and her and my cockatiel play all the time and not once has she bit or let alone growled at him. She could eat him in one bite, but has she? No. Bcuz dogs have a sense tht if they know theyre not supposed to do something, they dont.

don't have the macaw confront the big dog..there are many accidents where the dog usually would hurt and injure the bird.....please don't provoke your pets to kill each other... Usually the dog would win over the bird and the bird would be the one that would get injured and also die... otherwise send the bird to a shelter or people that can really willing able to care for it..
