  • Sick of people say, I love my jeep! Honest comments needed ppl, not bullshit! I'm from Australia. I have a limited patriot,2010. must say for the money with what's available, it's not bad. I don't think I'd be stupid enough to take it off road, as it's not a proper 4x4. It's comfy and has presence of typical jeep. Which is why I got 1. Fuel consumption could be better, with 4 cly and a heavy body, does burn like a V6. But has more space and handles well. Just a practical suv/wagon.

  • what a boring video

  • This looks like any old regular road in Kentucky!

I got my Trail Rated Jeep Patriot for the snow up north here.

This is my fourth Jeep and my smallest and it get's good fuel economy.

I wouldn't want to take my Patriot off road unless I had to anyway.

  • are those jeeps anygood offroad? ive been thinkin about buying one but they dont look like there really built for offroad. are they worth investing in a lift kit and everything or should i just stay with my wj?

  • Jeep Liberty is actually the reincarnated Jeep Cherokee, across the pond there is no liberty, the cherokee kept its name on the new body styles thereafter, so even though they described it as a Jeep Cherokee its not a Cherokee.

  • i loveee jeeeps cars !, specially cherokees ;)

  • The cherokee used to be a Jeep. People like you are why it is now a car, as you say.

  • jeeps seem to be loosing there badassness

  • I'm looking to buy one of these. I'm not buying it so I can go offroad but it's nice just to have the convenience and comfort. Plus the patriot gets really good fuel consumption apparently.

  • And it's got an awesome stock stereo! :D

  • well depending on year. because at one point cherokee, grand cherokees and wranglers had axless. and no it dosent have a solid axle it has IFS

  • nice cars

  • the patriot would be a complete car if it had live axles. come on JEEP IFS?

  • are you saying that the Patriot has a solid front axel?

The Wrangler is the only Jeep with a solid front axel, thanks to the majority of jeep owners being urban derbins.

  • jeep is kick ass lol :)

  • haha are you sure

  • i don't think so but how can you tell?

  • on my 08 patriote i install 2 inch spacer and put 225 75 r 16 tire on

  • better to add the rubber up to make more clearance.

  • I love Jeep Patriot

  • I love my jeep

  • this is pretty tame, but most people looking for a family veichle wont be offroading. but this is some nice calm trails. anyone know where they are?

  • Just got an 08, and wife has an 06 Commander, which can do the Rubicon - Patriot's Trailrated ... but I call it the "Commander Light" - sporty, self articulated indep four wheel awd, the lock up for 19:1 crawl - anyone who thinks Honda's are Jeeps are 'stuck in no-brain' :).

  • Same thing might be said about someone who thinks the Patriot is a Jeep too. I kid (sorta).

  • Do these have independant suspension?

    VW engined I heard?

    Good diesel.

  • some hardcore dirt roads.... fail....

  • better than my escalade im serious to

  • This is really a very good car, I'm not saying that this is the best SUV ever, I really don't know if this is a real SUV but the fact is that i run at 15mph in the city every day and I will be the happiest citizen doing in a jeep patriot, Its really nice, better than every Rav4 or town and country or chevys...... Its a jeep.

  • Wow... Now I know why I bought that Land Rover. These are a very sad replacement for the Cherokee. Yes I have one of those too so dont start the Hate.

  • jeep cherokee is best but these are good

  • the patriots just a little baby suv

  • WOW!, these are some serious offroaders! (NOT), what the McFuck is this? My conservative grandma and an 84 K car could do this lolly gagging.

  • the wrangler is the only real jeep

  • WTF!!!!! my buic centry dose better than that

  • still waiting for the off road part, that is more like driving in an alley in the suburbs

  • LAME!!!!

You cannot wheel with something based off a car's platform, with CAR TIRES!

  • very very soft.

  • The heck was that?

Yes, you should be driving in a controlled and careful manner off-road, but the test drivers seem to be terrified of a little dirt.

  • easy trail even i could do that and im 14

  • My 1991 Volvo S70 station wagon could do this. but i doubt it could do more extreme stuff that the patriot could do even though i dont like jeep that much.

  • woops i meant my 1991 Volvo 740 station wagon lol. i was thinking of my 1997 Volvo S70 T5. lol sorry

  • its dosent matter how much u jack up your truck your axels r still low to the ground!

  • the car is too low

  • i can definatly say this cars too low to go off road

  • IFS! yuck! and yes... what a pethetic trail.

  • It sounds like they're all using a crawling gear and have it in 4x4 mode throughout the whole trail. My Patriot, and these ones, could do that trail no problem in 2wd without in 1st high. Heck, I ford a foot of mud in 2wd. I only use 4x4 if I'm stuck.

  • needs music

  • I think the Patriot is a great vehicle, but they are disrespecting it by driving it on such a pussy trail. My Mazda3 could've done this trail.

  • my 04 bmw 325i can do that!! haha =]

  • @rbloch23 My Sebring could do that trial..

  • @rbloch23 Something with 2WD probably could have done most of it, but I doubt anything with such a huge lack in ground clearance and departure angles could accomplish this.

  • @rbloch23 great vehicle? nah man bad offroad capabilities and in the highway is too noisy

and i say it cause my sister owns one and i drive it almost everyday to school

  • @rbloch23 i have to agree ive done some incredibly stupid things in my old 99 camry and i know the jeep can do better

  • That trail looks a lot like Redding Pass to Chiva Falls in Tucson, AZ. I've MTB it plenty of times.

The base Patriot clearance is 9.5". If you opt for the off-road package 2, it's 10".

  • Dude, the Patriot may be good for "hard roads" or "easy off-roads" like this one. I've trips like this one in a Jetta.....

  • Pretty Decent, but i think my ford escape could do better than that.

  • I think my road car could!!

  • you are more like gaymaster then offroad one,you are underestimate streinght of Pat because of lack of your knowledge about this supreme vehicle

  • is this for real? now thats just sad... i could do that ON MY BIKE.

  • Que aburrido

  • Suppose it'll do for gentle off road bits.

Really good mpg, using a VAG diesel.

It does look a bit low, what type of suspension? independant or live axles?

  • independent

  • nah!!!! esos tracks no estan tan perros

  • hummer rules!!

  • yes they do

  • no..no they dont..unless its an H1

  • No, the Patriot with 17" wheels has 10" of ground clearence with the off road 2 package

  • I'm pretty sure it's 9." I could be wrong.

  • our jeep has the same amount of clerance as a h3

  • Really? I knew the H3 had dropped substantially in price, I didn't think it had dropped a lot in height as well! :P Good ol African Silverado H3.

  • Nice, I like the Patriot.

  • Do yourself a favor and buy a newer model 1st gen 5 speed Sportage. You'll save lots of money and have a more capable off-road vehicle. Just throw some 15X7" wheels with some 30X9.5" tires on it and have fun.

  • Downside is, other people will see you in an ugly old Sportage.

  • yeah they will, because you'll be in a sportage!

  • hahah true that

  • KIA is still in business? Learn something new every single day!!!

  • Es una pena que el patriot no tenga reductora seria ya completo
