Iron-hand rulership is necessary at some point in time to control internal conflicts in a nation. When you have rival tribes constantly fighting for power, there has to be someone to bring them to order. Transformations only happen with time. The more undertanding and tolerant rival ethnic groups become towards one another, the less dictatorial the government becomes. Just take a look at the history of a few countries, and you'll understand exactly what I mean.

Kagame was also a rebel BUT a good one. His people were being slaughtered in their numbers. Had it not being by his intervention, the carnage would have gone on. Kagame is not a dictator.

I wrote in English! I said dictator and not rebel. If Kagame never killed Habyarimana then they would have been nobody killing "his" people. As for being a dictator, he is the most brutal dictator Africa has ever known; nowhere in Africa you find a mono-ethnic government, army, etc. Rwanda is the only place on this planet where the majority have no say and are forced into camps or exiled. Genocide has been used as an excuse for far too long and it is no longer holding!

OK then. Just like how my Ghanaians did, when the time comes they should vote him [Kagame] or his party out and try somebody new. There's no need to resort to violence like [some] Kenyans did. This is 2009 not 1965. Quick question- during the genocide,which tribe suffered the most?

Kagame is a criminal. whether he did commit any murders or not, Kagame allowed the slaughters of Hutu and Tutsi to continue and he shouldn't get away with it.

Paul Kagame allowed the murders of the Hutus and Tutsis' in Rwanda to continue.
Also, he was funded by France, Belguim and Switzerland.
He should've been brought to trial.

When a white man gives you weapons to kill your fellow africans and uyou do it, blame not the white man but youself.
people kill people not guns. Why do you not supply the whites with weapons and tell them to kill their leaders and see how far you get. We will always blame others so problem never gets solved.
