LOL this is officially the shortest produced car in SAAB's history. Only 457 were made for 2011 because SAAB is reportedly being sold to the Chinese in bankruptcy proceedings. I think the writing is on the wall for SAAB now, as sad as it is. Yet another brand gone to the car graveyard soon it seems... I'm jus surprised they lasted longer than Oldsmobile, Saturn, and even Pontiac! I hope they do recover, and I hope at least Pontiac comes back eventually. But it seems HIGHLY unlikely right now....

Beautiful but over priced! Should sticker at 37-40k and sell out at 34-37k. ... Check out the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, it has pretty much all of the same features, a better 4 wheel drive system and is equally as if not better looking. I know the Jeep is a little bigger but if you compare them side by side, the Jeep offers as much if not more for less money. The same goes for the Buick Enclave. Saab should be trying to compete with them NOT with BMW and Audi!!

@MADDOG6400 The 9-4X has OnStar because even though the ties have been cut, the 9-4X and all of the new Saabs for that matter are still very much GM vehicles. Platforms, electronics, engineering, engine choices, suppliers etc. Its as much Cadillac SRX as anything else. Saab was dying before GM bought them and they still are. You can't keep a car company going simply by being a weird "also ran"..especially through the hard times. And it took GM getting in with them for Saab to even turn a profit.

As expected from a Swedish car manufacturer. Swedish cars are luxurious and tech savvy at the same time. German cars get too much recognition nowadays, while Swedish cars are always unappriciated ( although Swedish cars are better made and more reliable most of the time). There is a good reason why Volvo sales are booming in China. Saab is just so incredible.

@flypunk90 Technically Saabs have XWD (Cross Wheel Drive) and it's an option. The base comes with FWD. This is the 9-4X Premium which is basically a nicely equipped base model.

I liked the 9-7x better. Or whatever the trailblazer equivelent was. I believe that eventually a rearview mirrior will just be a camera that moves accordingly to how you move the mirror. Just felt like sharing all of that

Also, if you're wondering about OnStar, which is owned by GM, it is to my knowledge that GM allowed Saab to keep their OnStar systems since GM was planning the, now released, OnStar FMV system. Hopefully they will go back to basics under Spyker because they used to be cooler than Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Volvo. We need a new small car, a fast convertible/coupe and an alternative 'rep-mobile' eco turbo diesel. This SUV is pure GM US thinking, it feels like the brand is in tatters.

Can someone answer me this: I know the SRX did come with the turbo V6 but GM killed that after slow sales. So why is it reappearing in this one? Yes I do understand that the Saab is made first, but wouldn't Saab though that cause the Caddy could not sell as many Turbos that would not introduce it? It is cause Saabs are known to have turbos?

The interior has a rare, understated elegance to it, which arches over small perceived imperfections, one may see here or there. I can even venture to reveal the character of the design, emanating from that beautifully selected colour scheme. It has a certain masculine, but warm Nordic charm to it. As a Saab fanatic I'd like to thank Kyle for doing more Saab videos lately & to clear up some misconceptions about this vehicle. The 9-4X is NOT a rebadged Cadillac. GM handed development of the Theta Premium platform over to Saab with the understanding that GM would then build a "sister" model from Saab's final design. The only reason the SRX was introduced first was because Saab was put in limbo when GM went into bankruptcy & production @ Saab stopped. So if anything the SRX is a rebadged Saab

@seanya9989 Are you kidding? GM's philosophy has always been "Why build 1 when you can build 5?" Badge engineering is a staple of GM's business model. Take the GMT360 platform for instance. That platform became the Chevy Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier, Oldsmobile Bravada AND the Saab 9-7X.
