  • @Hoihoijooah Timeline of events fail! Pachelbel 'Canon' - 1694. First public electricity - 1881. Electric guitar invented - 1931. JerryC 'Canon Rock' - 2005.

  • @Hoihoijooah what a victim you are...

  • #8 the Orff piece is ripped off by all Hollywould-be composers for the RCC hater movies. Oy!

  • The author doesn't understand music if at it music from star wars enters in 30 and such compositions as the swan lake and a symphony 40 Tchaikovsky and Mozart occupy 83 and 84 place...

  • Tchaikovsky has a bum rap with this countdown but he finally got it with 2

  • @seth5220 Tchaikovsky is tied with Mozart for having the most pieces on this list - a total of ten :)

  • @kickassclassical

I'm a bit disappointed that neither Peter Gynt's Morning Song nor Chostakovitch's Fly of a Bumble Bee is in the top Ten list...

    But Good Work...:)

  • @Varoonmg We do love Edvard Grieg's "Morning Mood" from Peer Gynt suite (#42). Also, are you thinking of Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight Of The Bumblebee" (#20) or Shostakovich's "Gadfly Suite?" :)

  • @kickassclassical Oh God, I'm sorry, I always get miwed up with the names...:P

"Morning Mood" is one of my personal favourites and yep, it's Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee"....

I always thought it was pretty famous, a youtuber once commented that it's sometimes even used in some movies as the fly of "real" bees as background music...

Otherwise thanks for the compilation...and sorry again, I'll try learning the names...:)

  • Number 8 sounds like The Omen

  • Wilhelm Tell, not William :)

  • @Espazjan In the English speaking world, it's William. We had to pick a language, and since we knew English, we figured that would be okay. In reality, Rossini was Italian, so technically it's "Guillaume Tell." :)

  • toccata and fugue

  • lol im using some of these songs in my garrys mod video :D

  • @solidsnake1414 :D !

  • canon in d is amazin!!

  • # 10 & 5 don't belong on this list. Whoever made the list is a complete idiot to have put them in the top 10.

  • Not to disrespect this great music, but why do I keep getting flash back's from Tom and Jerry cartoons!

  • The younger generation needs to listen to more of this music.

  • The song Stoning from Big O should be in first trust me listen to it if you like classical

  • If a Star Wars theme can make the list then I'm disappointed Murray Gold's work isn't on the list.

  • @WiseOwlOfGallifrey It's okay, it's easy to become disappointed when you have unrealistic expectations. Seriously though, Dr. Who rules :)

  • @kickassclassical Just wishful thinking and anyway he's still got the Proms!

  • I would LOVE to get the music sheets for these songs.... :)

  • ppbbiittttttt ehhhhh

  • i know 46 :)

  • Thumbs up by any one who has fucked to #8!

  • The 1812 Overture should surely come 1st. No other piece of music is as powerful.

  • I lovee this music:D

  • Surely the godfather music should also be in this that's a classic

  • Wroung.

  • I'm very surprised there's nothing by Franz Schubert in your top 100.

  • I know them all and I am only 16 XD.

I love classical music like these.

    They never get old.

  • @deathroman13 I couldnt tell u all the composers from the top of my head, but I also know them all and associate certain movie scenes or feelings with them. Its only when u hear classical music without the context of a movie or a play that you realize how often it is still used today and you learn to appreciate it. They r still the songs that capture certain feelings best, despite 60 years of rock, pop and hiphop.

  • @deathroman13 a lot of this songs are in The Simpsons, maybe thats the reason :/

  • @Thefoli123

I have never watched Simpsons before in my life.

    I don't like it.

  • @deathroman13 yeah im 14 and when i do my homework i like listening to classical music :)

  • @deathroman13

On the extended list, I got down to #17 and had heard them all.

  • 4..bach's sounds a bit strange, i think..o.O :D

  • @Kolyamatic it's Dracula music lmao

  • @xXElleN816Xx

no, i mean that it sounds strange to /watch?v=ipzR9bhei_o ; which is my fav version of this "song"

  • I can't find a top 100 cd as good as this top 100... any suggestions??

  • i have just realised how much i love music.

  • 0:19 Wooooo!!

  • I was kinda surpised at the fact I knew all of these (but not all the names)

  • I think the list goes like this: 10. Beethoven's 1st 9. Beethoven's 2nd 8. Beethoven's 3rd 7. Beethoven's 4th 6. Beethoven's 5th 5. Beethoven's 6th 4. Beethoven's 7th 3. Beethoven's 8th 2. Beethoven's 9th 1. Beethoven's Grosse Fugue Really, the number one is the most important. Anyone who hears it will either hate it or, if you're lucky, love it.
  • NO AVE MARIA!?

  • Not enough Bach on this list...

  • Ahaaa Space Song 0:19

  • Where's für elise?

  • Beethoven's 5th? seriously?

    where's the Rachmaninoff?

  • Omfg... I so love classical music! I really have to download every song that are mentioned here... THEY ARE SO DAMN AWESOME!!!

Just because i love that noone else than me (that i know) listens to this, I got to mention I'm 14 :D

  • beethoven's 5th symphony is the song you hear when you realize that you are out of toilet paper

  • Isn't number 10 the "Can Can" by Ludwig Van Beethoven

  • @MrAppleByter No, there is no such song by that name. You are mistaken because Inferno's Gallop is accompanied by the Can Can *dance during the show.

  • number 2 is famous because of V for Vendetta

  • Anyone notice how many of these are in Stanley Kubrick films?

  • Totally agree with number 1. XD

  • Where is Paderewski's menuet in G?

  • y dont u have the song names in the description like before!?!?! D:

  • it's like im watching looney tunes

  • This list is fantastic. So many of these pieces are the kinds that we would always here in cartoons as a child, love them, and never have any idea what they were called.

  • Where is Wagner's Tannhauser overture?

  • Canon In D! Oh my God, it is cool!

  • i was wondering why swan lake by tsaikovsky is not included in the top 100... i really like it..

  • I was looking for 8 for ages. :D I didn't know the title.

  • YES I guessed correct.. Beethoven!!! Symphony No.5 in C minor.... BONBONBONBONNNNNN....

  • numbers 10 and 2 are my favorites when it comes to classical music but I absolutely love classical music as a whole, great list

  • funkin amazing! May it live forever.

  • i dont even listen to this type of music and i recongnized all the songs.............i feel like i acomplished something :D

  • why so few beethoven conserts?

    Where is the 7th??

Where is great figuer both beethoven and bach?

  • Bach win. BANKAIII

  • I love number 6 I love love.

  • I am also wondering why: requiem for a dream from Mozart is not in the top 10. When I am going to sport I listen Requiem for a dream like 10 times, and I am all focussed and it is really improving my results.

  • @TheRamonzz You may be thinking of 'Lux Aeterna' by Clint Mansell from the soundtrack of the movie 'Requiem For A Dream.' Or the full orchestra version called 'Requiem For A Tower.' Find it here on YouTube :)

  • @kickassclassical I thought Requiem for a Tower was the version used in the trailer for LotR, The Two Towers.

  • @TheRamonzz haha, priceless.

  • @TheRamonzz retard

  • @TheRamonzz it is mozart's "requiem"... not "requiem for a dream"!!!! the part i prefere the most is the "lacrimosa"...

  • Orff O Fortuna, I am so glad I found that song..I really love that, thank you very much Kickassclassical!

  • Thank you so much!! ^^

I love Classical Music, I knew a lot of these!, but not the names! ^^

  • I am having an ice skating competition in June and my coach told me to pick out some classical music for it and I had no idea what to do! SO thanks for this, now I do know! (the skaters Waltz!)

  • Oh wow. Im totally going running to O fortuna

  • I love all of them!

  • omg i found it 0:28-0:38

  • Oh my gosh I've heard almost all of these but never knew the names! What classics!

  • I want to listen the song NUMBER 8 in my last breathlessness until my death !!!
