There are hundreds of PURCHASED Battery powered cars; but there will never be a FCX that Honda will sell, unless they are willing to take a $1M loss per FCX.

Honda spends $1 million to make it, lease-only, the fuel cell stack degrades in 3 years, there's only one "filling station" near Huntington Beach (in Anaheim) so lessees have to drive 30 miles to fill up, and the H2 is TECHNICAL grade, costs $18/gge.

my teacher explained a lot about this car, it runs on hydogen and oxygen combined...cool part is that when the oxygen mixes with the hydrogen, IT EXPLODES!! the explosion is what powers the pistons in the engine and that's what makes it run....

uhh sorry to kinda burst your bubble, but the Honda FCX doesn't have a piston engine, it uses a Fuel Cell, in turn, it basically makes electricity that powers electric motors, no explosions, no pistons mucking about... whisper quiet, and u can run your entire house from it when not using the car, or in turn, your entire street, or even a 12 story building... and only water vapor as exhaust... the FC stands for Fuel Cell, not sure what x stands for tho...

Thats correct, although that is only true for a fuel cell which makes electricity from combining those two. They designed it this way so they can charge for filling up the cell..We all know you can just burn the hydrogen. We also know you can just electrolyze water and get hydrogen from solar panels..Thats why they are developing fuel cells instead - so they still have a way of charging you to fill up at a pump. How sad huh..I would advise everyone to reject fuel cells..
