Sorry folks, as FrostedMoses has already pointed out, this is not the Chris White who played bass in the Zombies. When I wrote my biography on that group, Chris came to visit me and I asked him about this. A bit silly of me, really, because they look nothing like each other!
After nigh on 40 years of being convinced the "she" was Sybil Chris informed me that " the subject of the flip side to SW was not Pip. It was Rosina, wife of Ralph, bass player in Heroes & Villains.
When we were playing she'd fling herself all over the place in such a fashion that, on more than one occasion, a shoe would go flying every whichway, prompting the observation, "Don't worry everybody, she's only dancing".
If anyone can let me know how to get in touch with Chris White. His father and my mother were together for 20 years - 20 years ago so I guess you could say he is my step brother. I would like to contact him about his Dad and my Mums show business days. By the way, I love this track. I loved it when I was a teenager when it first came out and was fascinated that there was a " famous" person in the family. I still love it now. I prefer it to side A !!!
Steady on here,Chris is English as they come, this playful ditty was composed about his delightful wife "Pip" [known with a wink as Sybil]who's ability on the dance floor was matched only by Chris's ability to sing Led Zep songs...Mouth Music is now on cd as is his follow up cd the Surfonics..15 classic Chris White ditties of Summer Goodness
Never heard this track before - it's not included on White's Mouth Music album. Really terrific tune, though. Thanks for posting! By the way, this is not the Zombies' bass player - this fellow's an American.
