The British Empire had no chance of winning in the pacific! Most of its armies were tied up in Britain,Africa,Middle-east,india,etc They had no chance of reinforcements or aid. INDIA WAS FIGHTING SO THEY COULD BE FREE FROM THE BRITISH EMPIRE!
this old indian guy was happy to eat british rations and claim british army pay until he got caught and then turned coat to the other side. complete mercenary coward rebel.
the volunteers of the British army, in my mind were mercenaries.
One of the big reasons that the British left india was the huge number of angry indian soldiers who saw british turn tail at the first sight of japanese. MK Gandhi had very little impact on indep[endance movement.
@cray0308 I feel that Gandhi had no impact on independence whatsoever. India and Pakistan got independence because the British were bankrupt at the end of the war and they could no longer afford to hold onto the subcontinent. I doubt that the British left because of angry soldiers - don't forget that in WW1 they lifted martial law in the Punjab and promised independence if our people would fight for them, but when the war ended they reinstated martial law and carried on as before.
why is there such disparancy between your writings on your page and your comments on videos. the comments on your videos seem to be writen by an baboon, whilst the comments on your channel seem to be written by an articulate genius. ( stop taking writings off wikipedia, books, and other sources onto your channel in order to con people into thinking you are clever). you cannot con me thick stupid whore.
Idiot fucker anything I have quoted I stated! everything else is mine. Looted left right and center for your dummy brains means: all of the diamonds in India are gone!!!! Including HOPE the LARGEST DIAMOND!
@BunnyBambiBambi 17 million died due to famines caused by the taking of all India's resources. Hope we never forget the 2.5 million that sacrificed their lives for both war efforts. How do you think UK sustained the war efforts to begin for both wars? With whose resources? All the rice, raw jute, cotton goods, manganese, saltpetre, rubber, millions of tons of wheat (what caused the 17 million deaths to begin with) were provided from India.
Not really. First of all, this is no 'bigging up' as you call it. , but selective pro-British reporting. It does not mention a lot of historical facts. Read Leonard Gordon's Brothers against the Raj for more details.
I will never forget the brave Indian soldiers who fought with Britain
Their courage in Burma was inspirational!

INA was the real patriot army.

i'm sorry 2 comment, but hitler never disgarced indian army as said by the veteran in this documentary.
hitler infact once said; " if i have the indian army; i can conquer the whole world"....not that any point I am a supporting hitler.
I am also not sure if churchill ever snubbed indian army.

The 'bigging up' of the INA in this video is quite amusing really. They completely folded when they were sent into action against the 14th Army.
