  • His composure, you know a good violinist when you are convinced he made up the piece that he's playing on the spot... Here's a great example.

  • i dont know of any other player who has sounded THAT professional at 14 years old... just astonishing, bravo itzhak

  • How does he even play like that? And he plays it so flawlessly!

He must have practiced 6 hours a day to do that. I only practice 1/6 of that.

  • Itzhak Perlman que genio por Dios, tuve la suerte de escucharlo cuando vino al Teatro Colon en esa oportunidad toco Tchaicosky .

  • 14 years old and those hands are fucking hugeeee.

very convincing performance from the old master

  • what show is this?

  • A recording from Fox and no dislike bar? Wow, Perlman can do anything.

  • he was 17. yeras old.

  • Why does this run out!!! Please I want the ending!!! :--)))

  • Why does this run out!!!

  • Ah..dear Itzhak PEARL-man !

  • @fuo213 This video clip is actually from 1964. In 1958 he played the Mendelssohn violin concerto in E minor 3rd movement. In this show he was aged 18.

  • wow relax.. he is comfortable

  • Itzhak Perlman makes the piece sound/ seem so easy! Haha.

It definitely makes me want to play.

  • he already looks like a little adult. I wonder if he joked around and played tricks on old ladies and whatnot when he was a kid... i bet he didn't haha. but hes amazing!!! this concerto is wonderful

  • kudos to mr. perlman!

  • I've always loved how Perlman plays everything much faster. I hate how some violinist DRAG. it's like they're not good enough to play it fast..lol. Itzhak is just a super genius violinist who is almost super-human. That's why he's able to play this fast. I'm a violinist myself, and i ALWAYS listen to recordings of Perlman before learning a piece.

  • He's always had big, ugly hands, but I do adore the way he uses his bow! :D

  • mq9demo im pretty sure its d string im playing this piece too

  • In 3:41, did he finish this arpeggio on a D string or E string? I cannot figure out how I should play this, because my score is showing me to play this on D string, but it is basically making me play 1-2cm from the bow or so. Is that correct? Does anyone know?

  • I think he's 17 in this no?

  • @fuo213 He definitely looks a lot older than 14 years old. I'd believe you if you told me he was 25 in this!

  • A gift from god

  • @fuo213 Puberty?

  • he was 19 when he played this, but he probably could play this when he was 15, T.T so amazing.

  • he makes it look easy...

  • Just imagine that scene : Wieniawski, during a concert in Berlin were seized by a spasm and fell to the ground...than somebody picked up his violin and continue to play. Name : Joseph Joachim, violin virtuoso e Brahms' great

    friend.

About Itzhak : Great performer since he was 14 !

  • he was 18...

    idk why it says 14

  • look how big his hands are!!!!!!!! LOL!! god, i love perlman!

  • thats because hes not 14 he's 22. great video i love itzhak

  • was the TV conductor stolen?

  • does some one have the entire video?, the ending is missing...

  • I think he plays the notes very clean. Good that the tempo is not too fast

  • to : 007TheViolinist -

Actually, the tempo is very fast. But because it is easy for him, it sounds as if it is quite relaxed. This is precisely when the great technique shows. Plus, he is playing so musically, it is refreshing

  • @violinclass True, true. However, it is still completely too fast. Of course it is slower than Heifetz, but I never understand the Jewish violinists' fascination with speed. I know that they play like that because they are able to do that, but it takes away the musicality from it. I am not enjoying this performance, I am just amazed by the performer. Music should not be about this... I think.

  • @mq9demo it's not the jewish violonists, it's the american school represented mostly by jewish violonists.

  • @giorgiocosmin well doesn't that say something? when most of the players are Jewish??????

  • @mq9demo THAT'S BULL! this is not an emotional movt. anyway. Listen to his Schindler's list!!!

  • @007TheViolinist It's too fast.

  • @mq9demo well, want a cookie???

  • @007TheViolinist : Actually i Think the tempo is a bit too fast.. But its nice in its own way

  • i agree!
