  • Some pretty stupid comments by the French interviewer. So much for European journalists.

  • Putin actually gives real answers not like "America is the greatest nation on earth god bless america the end" type of speeches that say nothing.

  • i feel ashamed now that i was afraid of russia when i was young!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!if you already have more teritory then you really can handle(with all its local problems)why would you want more?russia is huge and the USSR was fucking huge!!and they have or had? the best national antom?(did i spell that right?)

  • i feel ashamed now that i was afraid of russia when i was young!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!if you already have more teritory then you really can handle(with all its local problems)why would you want more?russia is huge and the USSR was fucking huge!!

  • i feel ashamed now that i was afraid of russia when i was young!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yup. Vova's correct. all they said here was "russia invaded georgia" which was a total twist and fabrication. Georgia invaded S.A.

    deal.

  • Parsimonious Fucklinker

  • What relationship? Americans never took that corrupt anti huamnity regime as a friend

  • @normalais bush, rumsfeld. Quayle, real humanists.Only when signing oil deals with Iraqi officials chosen by them for cheap prices.Talk about corruption, there's a mafia right there!!!! Double standards as usual. Writing from UK supposed US ally! Well not me. Every nation is sovereign and should be free to decide it's own destiny. Not be invaded to obtain cheap deals in oil at the expense of innocent civilians!

  • @normalais you mean the US government? yea

  • Irritating how he changed the question of what he intended to do to stop the murdering of unfavorable journalists, he criticizes the neutrality of journalism in other countries. Why didn't he simply say that he was going to pep up the security of journalists from state institutions, and make sure that every government agency respects the freedom of speech? As if American bias in American media is an excuse for murdering journalists. Did I miss something?

  • I think everyworld leader needs to be a little more like Putin, straight talking and really cool.

  • not that i am V.V. Putin's biggest fan, but trust me - if you'll ever have a chance to see Russian opposition's true face-you'll feel sorry for those disinformed and blinded, who sincerely believe Politkovskaya, Litvinenko,Berezovsky,Khodorkovsky and many more were well-meaning liberal reformers, eager to put an end to the "KGB Reign of Terror for the sake of the Mother Russia".

  • There is no such thing as a "free press" in the west; I lived here long enough to know that all this "Mess or Mass" media is it's a number one tool in the hands of "some people"-leader. As old saying says: Who ever pays, orders "music". Anything that's going on in the world reflects the politics of "certain" group(s) of people by different media for the purpose of influencing.

  • @vikruss The "free press" is not the main stream media, that is for sure. The "main strem media" is a whore to the politics of the liberal left.

  • @vikruss: The problem with the free press in the United States is that it doesn't receive advertising funding and generally fails to make an income because it's reality-focused as opposed to entertainment. The problem with the free press in the United States is however not that journalists are getting killed for painting the government in a negative light. Sure, there are problems with American journalism, but at least alternative journalists get to live.

  • Do not forget Vangas prediction about Vladimir:

"Everything will smelt as snow but the honour of Vladimir will stay!"

We love You with all heart, Mr Putin!

  • greeting from iran mr Putin is a tand up man ,he is the man .and fuck us ,uk .france ,georgia ,and all zionist pice of shit ,long live Russia

  • thank you friends

    long live Iran!

  • aren't Russians Zionists too?

  • Poor Putin. How many times does he have to repeat something that a person should understand using common sense? Anyways, even if the defense of Ossetia was a part of a strategic move then I don't see anything wrong with that. It's like killing "a few" birds with one stone; saving a lots of good ppl, giving them freedom, getting rid of a maniac(Sakashvilii), showing a good example and the most important thing... showing what will happen in the future to those that practice immoral policies.(USA)

  • If Putin expects anything better from Obama, though he was prudently tight-lipped on that question, then he is going to be disappointed.

  • Next problem sport is going to be The Crimea

  • "Putin it straight." thats hilarious!

  • lol, 8:19 "They didn't."

  • At least Georgia is not a big country to compete with Russia, therefore we can't want anything else than friendship. But we do want territorial integrity and Sovereignty!

  • MZE1988, As I said I cannot discuss with you, if you cannot reason, only state the Georgian point of view and consider yourself right, do not take me for lesser knowledge than yourself, I lived in the Soviet Union too, so I damn right know what what happening, If you wish to discuss what we did until now in a proper manner where we consider both points of view send me a message, do not take this for a joke, I would love to discuss this but not the way we are now.

  • I post here just in case anyone wants to know the opinion of a Georgian who saw everything with her eyes. You won't tell me anything that will be more valuable than my eyes.If you wanna know how did I formulate my opinion, all right,if not,you can believe me or not.I tried my best.

P.S.Where are u from if I may know

  • I believe people already have an idea of what you think, I mean look how many posts we have posted here, that is why I suggested moving into messages, but whaever, I am from Lithuania.

  • You are acusing me in not reasoning well and you think anyone can have an idea of how I formulated my opinions just after reading my posts?

I wonder what would those Georgians, who had the Lithuanian flags up on the manifestation in Tbilisi, say after reading your comments.

  • MZE1988, Calm down, I am not accusing you of anything, if you did reason, if would have helped that you posted your reasons, even if they are long messages, another reason why I suggested moving into messages, then I would have known that you are taking both sides into account, as for Lithuania and Georgia do not pull our two countries into this, it is irrelevent.

  • First,u did accuse me in not reasoning and believe it or not,I'm telling u that even after reading my comments,u don't know anything about me.I'm not against moving to messages,I'm ready to answer all your or others' questions.

I'm not pulling any country into this conflict.I just mentioned Georgians' attitude towards Lithuanians to show that they aren't aggressive towards anyone!

  • MZE1988, You did not tell me anything about yourself, but ok if you call it accusing that is fine by me, I accuse you in not reasoning. I mean you cannot deny that every country has criminals and corrupted people, no matter how friendly you make Georgia out to be, I mean it is irrelevent to say you know the psychology of your countries troops and know they would not shoot civilians, be real, I am not saying they did that, but you cannot state they could have not.

  • I don't deny that every country has criminals. Moreover,I know the worst Georgian criminals are in russia, cuz russian government gave them selters. If they come in Georgia, the Georgian government would arrest them.I'm saying Georgian troops as a whole could not shoot at civilians, cuz majority of them are under what I mean in Georgian psychology.

  • probably there are some "bad people" in the army, but again, the majority of georgian soldiers themselves go against those "bad people".And I said the examples of it,when the majority of the army didn't fullfil "bad orders" of the government and stood with the population. That is why I'm saying that it is not fair to portray Georgian army as aggressor.

  • MZE1988, but ok if you would answer my questions knowing you live there and would know more if you was in the conflict zone, when was you in the conflict zone and where?

  • I don't think these questions concerning my own experience will be interesting to all people who read the posts here.So I will reply to you in the personal message.

  • Was the Soviet Union like it was in America movies? Did The Soviet Union want to Invade America, or was that just the American moives?

  • I could go into endless detail, but in short, no, it was not like in Hollywood films, where the Soviet Union is shown as evil or the "bad guy", it was not like that, people lived very general lives and didnt care much about the US, not much talk about it in the army either, Soviet officers were very confident with the Soviet army, if a war was to break out they felt like we would be victorious, atleast in Europe, the general public were not anti-US, but it was another story in the government...

  • @Lingerfoot keep poking russia and i think they will stop being so nice

  • @Lingerfoot American movies.

  • If we didn't feel it,why would we want to be the enemy of Russia.

  • Russian chicks are hot

    /thread

  • This is something that scares me with Obama and McCain. Their real followers are totally blind. Obama follows seem to have this syndrome real bad. Stop loving our politicians right off the bat. When they go for 4 years and do things right all along the way is when you love them. I am all about supporting a candidate, but when I do it means I'm only giving you a chance to lead, something you must earn each and every day of your leadership. Yesterday earned your job today.

  • mtb416, Ok, if those comments were meant for me, yes truce it is, and I agree what you said about the governments.

  • How about we all stop arguing. We can all agree that our governments do shitty things. The Russian government does seem scarier than ours to me, but in all honesty people across the world have experienced terrible things by the hand of the U.S. We must remember that our governments are employed by us, tax payers. They are to be held accountable by us. The second we don't do this leaders will start abusing power. You know who is really to blame for poor governing? Us, of course.

  • Truce

  • There's a reply button vtkrey?!?! My stupid American brain has never noticed.

How many journalists have been murdered in Russia lately? You guys placing bets on the next one to go?

  • mtb416, it is funny, yes? the Russian government is accused of killing journalists to prevent them on talking about Chechnya or some dirty business, did you think I will deny it?, I will not, I do not know much about this but if it true let it be.

  • I care what Russia has to say because whatever they think or do I'll do the exact opposite. The opposite will most likely be the right thing to do.

  • ouch, stop being so mean, you're hurting my feelings! try again douche bag! I'm being immature but I'm winning this argument! Loser! Hahaha. vtkrey has a tiny penis! His ex-gf told me so!

  • mtb416, learn to click "reply", instead of posting a new comment expecting me to see it, the only reason I do, is because I am still "discussing" with the MerryChristmas kid.

  • vtkrey you're an idiot. haha, what a fucking loser. is that childish enough for you! VTKREY HAS A TINY WIENER!!!

  • You are an idiot and your comment proves it so I will say no more.

  • Texas vs. The World!

  • FUCK PUTIN

  • FUCK RUSSIA

  • Okraina will soon be history. We'll hand over Lviv as a bordello for NATO soldiers, rest goes to Russia.

  • sovietWarrior fuck off you commie bitch russia will be history soon

  • uh, yeah, but it's sucession. And actually I think that Texas is the only state that would still be able to do such a thing. It is probably also the only one that would make it. Texas vs. The World!

  • The only Russian I've ever liked was Sean Connery in the Hunt for Red October

  • So, I would like to know what Americans were doing there. Most likely tourists. Putin is a much better speaker than Bush. Bush comes across as a stammering idiot.

  • You foreigners need to gain a little self awareness. If I had the time to complain about Spain's, France's, or the UK's politics I would, but they do not matter and are a waste of time. Bitch about America, but all this bitching you do about us just gives credence to the fact that my country is more important than yours and you know it.

  • Bush comes across as a stammering idiot only to left-wing nutjobs like you. Grow up and study international politics a bit before being so opinionated. Bush was elected by a majority of voters in 2004.

  • U.S. spoiled it`s relationship with every body

  • yeah nice but your goverment dear american citizens supproted georgian war to help mccain win the election campaign!

    how absurd... :x

  • clearly if they did its not working because no one is even thinking about the damn georgia thing all they can talk about is the stock market now

  • Russians have no souls, at least their leaders have never seemed to.

Funny how we see Russia wrong to them, but somehow they are able to see the U.S. in the proper vision, hypocrisy.

  • Wait until the US government is begging both China AND Russia for MORE money to carry out its illusion of power. 10 trillion dollars in debt and counting.

  • TheSunAlsoRises1987

    You still don't answer me.

    igorvasilevsky : TheSunAlsoRises1987

    2 : 0

  • Igorvasilevsky, I answered you perfrctly. I do watch the Russian news and they are all State-owned, Kremlin-controlled propaganda.

Now, you tell me, in your Country, why are the journalists dropping like flies?:D

  • Looks like you've sucked up all the Fox News/Bush/ChristieFundie propaganda and it's shooting out your hole. Congrats!

  • people say putin is a dictator he is not he is like a presadint

  • TheSunAlsoRises1987

    shut this girl, please))

when did you last time watch russian news? on what channel? on what time? about what? what said the reporter? what did he show? when did you think that it is a propoganda? answer, please.

I assure, that you never watched usual normal russian news. Because if you watched it, you will never say that it is propoganda.

kgb, bla bla bla - is a very old and very stupid vision of Russia. Russia now is very different from you vision.

  • igorvasilevsky, I have already told you to stop stalking me!

  • TheSunAlsoRises1987

You still don't answer me. But stop, maybe you have no answer? ;) So i was right, saying that you didn't watch usual Russian News? ;)

    igorvasilevsky : TheSunAlsoRises1987

    1 : 0

    ;))

  • igorvasilevsky, What are you talking about? They are all State-owned, Kremlin-controlled, KGB-dominated propaganda, helping that malignant little troll Putin to rationalize the neo-Soviet Empire!

Maybe you can answer this, why are the journalists dropping like flies in Russia? nevermind, don't answer it, I already know;)

  • US sponsorship of a Greater Albania gave Russia carte blanche to decide the fate of 3 frozen conflicts. Tbilisi's attack was, to some extent, recognition of this reality.

But the Caucases remains unsettled, there is the question of Adjara, in Georgia's unstable southwest and only a little further afield Nagorno-Karabakh.

These issues are almost completely absent from analysis in the NAZO media, which has no intention of admitting the extent of the minefield in the Caucauses.

  • Christiv: Putin blames FOX News because he knows mindless liberals will easily buy into it. He is a politician and knows that liberals will believe anything if FOX is somehow affiliated. Get a clue. You're also probably one of the millions getting worked over by Obama.

  • Hey Bluff, when chess becomes a way to become a superpower I guess Russia will regain the title, ha.

XXMikey: Sorry, had I known you were from Canada I would of already known not to care. Canada has a big interest invested in the U.S., if I were you I would hope we do well.

  • Fucking Georgians! Terrorstists!

  • Highlight of video is Putin calling out Fox News for 1-sided propaganda and criticizes the US for not having true freedom of press. Wants to know how the US can criticize Russia when we don't allow the full accounts of incidents to be given here.

  • the anglo-american media is a cartel. its part of the ruling establishment and power structure as much as the courts or the senate maybe even more.

  • Usa cannot never pay the 100 trillion debt.

  • "MerryChristmas2you" Get your head out of the snow

  • People like you, and millions of Americans, seem to believe we have gotten past it. Economic turmoil is still being felt. How can you accurate judge something we're still in the midst of? When this is over and our economy gets back to full strength (which ours is still probably more profitable then yours) we can "Monday morning Quarterback" it all you want. There will be wrong and right moves, but ultimately we, the U.S., will fix our current situation.

  • How is the U.S. going to be "bled dry"? We are using other people's resources, you don't know that? You seem like you have all the answers.

Your from the UK I assume. Your inept government could barely deal with a few car bombs, some of which did not even go off. Deal with such a thing as 9/11 and then come talking to me. 9/11 was the worst terrorist attack in modern history, maybe history given the context. Subsequently the U.S. has been thrown into a tailspin, of which we are still recovering

  • debt.

    heard of it?

9/11 was the worst attack in US history.

not a big deal to the rest of the world.

maybe 4000 people killed? Georgia just killed 2000 on 8/8/08

who did the 9/11 attack? I dont agree with you on that point at all, mainly because I do not live under the umbrella of your phony press.

oh and I am not from UK, we covered that already :)

  • I agree It was Georgia's fault to attacking South Osetia not Russia's. and i also agree that what ever party gets in the us Office needs to mend the The bond between Russia and USA.

  • MerryChristmas2You

    you poor stupid wanker...

  • aww dont cry india, boo hoo.

  • Putin is better at the spin game than he lets on. He's better than western leaders he brags on being the best at media spin.People hearing this interview will walk away with a foundation in calling black blue and red orange. Putin proves that Russia can't be a world partner until they elect leaders willing to work together and realize they have much to offer the world but it will never again be a "super power". China, India, EU and, America are today and tomorrows "super powers". Sorry Putin!

  • For MerryChristmas2You: try not to let these ignorant, anti-American Eurotrash get to you. You know our place (#1), and they know theirs (not #1). I've never met finer whiners in my life. They have seemingly perfected the act of whining.

  • well said. you'd think they might be thankful or grateful that we provided them a place to which to speak their mind, but no, they are too hateful for that.

  • LOL looks like your the one who isnt thankful of a place for others to speak their mind. Maybe you should go back to watching FOX or CNN.

  • Who doesn't hate the Russians?!?!?! I certainly do. They have no shame, not to mention no conscience. Everyone knows that Russia is an evil empire, forever pissed that U.S. won the Cold War. They also support certain terrorist organizations. European countries see such slow growth it's almost backwards. In my eyes you are the ones who are easily led by your government. By the way, isn't the BBC government run? Tell me where in America the government has such control over the media.

  • First three sentence. That's all?

    Ignored!

  • I don't.

the Evil Empire is the US, has been for quite some time.

winning the Cold War is a bit of a myth, Russian economy is booming, yours is tanking and has used all the credit in the world even resorting to begging a Communist state to prop it up.

You arent ashamed that your Government is in debt to China, the evil Commies, in a huge way?

  • nah. that's minor. russia is booming ? lol.

russia has no credibility in the world.

    russia has no influence.

russians like canadians are good at one thing and one thing only, talking.

and thanks to the united states and it's technology you can talk here, otherwise you have no other choice. afterall they don't have canadatube or russiatube.

  • they do have Russia tube.

maybe look before you smart off.

  • I would much rather listen to the russians than America. The American economy is going bust, a predicted wall street crash is looming.

Russia was attacked first and they were armed with American weapons which could possibly show that America are trying to antagonise Russia and make it look bad so McCain can get in.

To the person who says Russia has no impact globally, if Russia were to cut off and keep their gas and oil, America and Europe would lose a lot of power and be at a disadvantage

  • we don't buy or use russian oil, that's europe, get your facts straight.

what russia does or doesn't do has no effect on the united states.

  • yeah, you buy your oil from religious theocracies like saudi arabia.

  • Fix a few things in your own country before you start criticizing a government you don't even fully understand your live under.

  • It blows me away how foreigners seemingly understand OUR political system more than us. Foreigners are so involved in our politics it just further proves our dominance. Long live the U.S.A!

  • or most likely what it shows is that your average american is a dumb ass and has no clue of the wider world

  • you have no politics.

you have a dictatorship with a two ring circus sham.

your voter turnout is a whopping ~30% and it is in serious doubt if 50% of them even voted for your current puppet.

xenophobic shut-ins that believe their own BS.

the rest of the world is amazed at what you can be made to believe is truth.

my only question is where are the parasites going to end up when the US is bled dry?

the US has been bankrupted by the current regime.

  • you have your head so far up your own ass, your just laughable. a cowardly canadian trying to spread lies and propaganda.

crawl back in your hole vermin, nobody listens to canada, and for good reason.

  • any facts about the issue or you only have emotional statements

  • I dont belive in America.

  • fuck russia and serbia one day they will know wut it means to have nothing..persian gypsies

  • He did not mention the other countries, Eastern European countries fear Russia as of what happened with the Soviet Union, they fear being taken over again, but it now is obvious that it is not the case, as for other EU countries he even said that they welcome co operation, but the US spoiled it with the missile shield and all the "bad Russia" talk to the public, I agree with him.

  • He didn't mention in this video, but he mentioned many times! It is very clear that Putin wants to go back to the USSR.That is why Nicaraguan president(Pro-USSR) supports him! Please don't say stupid things.Russia and cooperation?nonsense!Either you have to be slave of russians or they will kill you! This is not the cooperation!

  • "dont say stupid things"?, you are saying stupid things and time will prove it, you have too much imagination.

  • lol it is already proved by the international society. But you know,no international laws,no international morals,no international proofs work for russia. That is why you don't see it!

  • How has it been proven?, explain to me. Putin brought Russia back from economic chaos and you accuse him of wanting the USSR back. I see it from all points of view.

  • If he made the economy better,he killed people(Beslan,Nordost,Litvinenko,Polytkovskaya,etc.).But it is your business, maybe you don't even deserve better leader. The reason I am mentioning it is that if he killed his own civilians,of course,he would not be sorry for Ossetians or Georgians. And the reason which he uses to justify that he started the war seems to be complete absurd after what he did!

  • You need to prove that he wants to go back to the USSR?Besides the fact that all the people who worked during the USSR support him knowing his intentions, look at Putin's policy towards the post-USSR countries. If one is not blind,he/she will easily notice that Russia doesn't let those countries live their lives and prosper on their own!

  • MZE1988, 2 of those were terrorist Sieges, and the other two were people, and that is nothing to do to his contribution to the Economy and other things he did for the country, yes it is possible that the two killings were carried out by the Russian government but I am not in any way saying it is, nor it is proven, and by the way I did say I was Russian citizen.

  • They were terrorist Sieges or not,Putin killed to many innocent people together with the terrorists!

Yes,2 people died and at least russians have to care about them and not say that they were criminals and they deserved it like many of your compatriots say, which proves that they don't care about lives of people!

  • But as I said,it is your business to judge Putin for what he did inside russia. The only reason I am mentioning it is to prove that he doesn't care about his citizens, how would he care about Ossetians and Georgians.

On the other side,Saakashvili didn't do anything wrong to russian people in order you to hate him so much!

  • MZE1988, It is easy to point out others mistakes but alot harder to look at you own countries mistakes, the S.Ossetia conflict truth will come out ,I think it already has but no western leaders have what it takes to admit it, that they accused Russia with no evidence, only because they want Georgia in NATO and their oil.

  • believe me,noone else knows Saakashvili´s mistakes more than me!You are the first person I would like to tell that I didn't even vote for him!I know everything he does by heart! But believe me again,he didn't start the war cuz my friends were in Tskhinvali and they saw everything!

  • I also see that he seeks for the membership of NATO(and I know the goals of the US in Georgia) just because the diplomatic relationships are impossible with russia! There was were pro-russian Shevardnadze before him and even he could not establish diplomacy!I know you prefectly realize that it is not only about Apkhazia and Ossetia, that russia wants to HAVE CONTROL on Georgia!

  • MZE1988, Do not get me wrong I have nothing against the peoples of Georgia, they are great people, but this conflict has been all about accusing Russia without proof and that is to do with Sakasvilis and his western friends contribution, so I am not going to discuss this with you.

  • I don't know how well you know Georgians but I can tell you one thing:they will never become slaves of ANYONE,neither of the US,nor of russia. But russia will not tolerate if georgians have their own opinions and policies! And Georgians will not tolerate someone dictating them what to do!I really know Georgians have tried their best to be friends with russians but it is impossible!

  • Russia is accused NOT without proofs!Georgia is so small and it is very easy to know the information from the first sources!Everyone´s relatives of friends were in so called S.Ossetia and everyone knows what happened there!Besides this issue of who started the war,we could see what russian soldiers were doing,I have never imagined this kind of cruelty!

  • All we ask is russia to let us live our own life!If russia really wanted friendship and nothing else, believe me,it would be so easy for them to do so.Cuz for us religion is the most important thing and russia is supposed to be orthodox too!Think about it,it is very clear that russia wants to have Georgia under its dominion!

  • MZE1988, No, I do not agree that Putin those not care about his people, he has worked so hard to bring back Russian economy brign better lives to the citizens of the federation and I do not think those events prove he those not care. As for Russia wanting Georgia, you say you had friends in the conflict zone, but I have real doubts that they would have known of who was firing the Artillery and air raiding the City.

  • You prove I was right when I thought EVERY russian, not only government officials have imperialism in their heads.Ok,I trust you he did good things for the economy, but this was just one step towards creating the empire that he has in mind!I see all russians agree with him,you all want other nations under your dominion.I am sorry to disappoint you but that won't happen!Every georgian prefers to die than to become your slaves!

  • Listen, everyone can't be mistaken except you russians!besides my friendS(not 1),i talked to the refugees(who doesn't speak fancy english like the ones you show on tv),I know from the soldiers and I know from foreign journalists who were IN the conflict region.Besides,I know the psychology of Georgian men,I bet on my life they would not start the war and shoot at civilians!

  • We had many cases when the president ordered to shoot at civilians and the army refused to do it!You russians will never even dream about it!That´s why I know that even if some government officials ordered them to do so(absurd, cuz everyone knew russia would bomb us),they would not shoot at civilians unless they knew that russians were doing so!

  • MZE1988, The buildup of the Georgian army on the borders is known and accepted, and a tiny force of 3000 Russian troops present in the zone it would be insane to suggest that they attacked, ofcoarse I cannot prove anything and I do not think you can too, so I will not discuss something like that, we will see the outcome of the investigations, as for the US condemning Russia so much in my opinion it is because they feared loosing the promissed oil if Russia did take Georgia.

  • Obviously they did fear!Knowing that it is impossible to negotiate with russia cuz russia always has its imperialistic ambitions,it is natural that they seek for the alternative rout! And we don't refuse, because we will also gain from that!Just because russia knows it,it doesn't let us live our life and prosper!

  • MZE1988, I do know that Georgia would not accept being ruled by any country but that not somethinG that is valid in what we talked about, peace friend, war is not an option for Russia and Georgia, I hope the relations are rebuilt.

  • The relations will be rebuilt only if Russia admits the territorial integrity of Georgia and respects Georgia as the sovereign state.I think Georgians have always done so and keep doing so!And friendship is possible only with mutual aggreement, not when one tries to bully other!

  • MZE1988, All you said could be well right or wrong, we both have points of view, but you repeatedly accuse Russian government and Russian people of being evil and imperialist and simply saying "I know the psychology of Georgian men", would not prove your point, that is why I said let this investigation be over with, what ever it is now, the truth will come out in History. I am not Russian, but you present your point of view in an ignorant way, such accusing.

  • Psychology of Georgian men is only one point(at not of little importance while comparing to the one of russian men).I told you,my point of view is based on people who were in Tskhinvali and saw everything with their eyes. Also based on my eyes, since I saw many things with my own eyes. Also on refugees,on history books and the fact that russians could not show us single video proving that georgian soldiers shot at civilians!

  • MZE1988, I do not know the "Psychology" of those men at war, nor have I been in the war zone, but from people who return from there they do not seem to know much more than me who was not there, but my point of view at this time is the war happened because of US influance on Sakasvili who seems to do anything to join NATO and afterwards US took over as they (in my opinion) feared loosing the promised oil.

  • Whom did you meet who was in the war zone and didn't know anything that happened there?I know dutch journalists can tell how russians bombed civilians and killed one of the dutch journalist. My friends who were in Tskhinvali when the war started can tell how they SAW the bombings from russian-separatist side during a week before the war, turkish journalists can tell how russians bombed civilians cuz they themselves were under bombings from the russian side.

  • I know soldiers and reservists who were in the war zone and they explain everything.I saw with my own eyes how russians soldiers were terrorizing civilians, how they were carrying even used underwear with their cars and tanks.

Saakashvili may be influenced by the US but he fears Georgian people who can overthrow him like they did with the former president. This fear prevents him to do CRIMES against Georgian people. And Georgian people definitely are against the war!

  • MZE1988, that is all I can say, I have nothing more to discuss I cannot prove anything, but nor can you, but we can only have a point of view.

  • After all,Hungary,Afganistan,Poland,Estonia,Latvia,Lithuania,Ukraine,Georgia,so on and so on can't be all wrong and only russia can't be right in all the cases.I don't think it requires a lot of intelligence to see that Russia wants to expand its territory. This is more clear than anything! Its imperialism is very well proved and youtube space is not enough for the facts that prove it!

  • As for distinguishing russian people from russian government, there were many Georgians who had russian friends and always hoped and said that there are two russias:one-good and another-bad.After this war, everyone admits that they are absolutely the same!I have never seen such coward people not to speak up while their government is killing people!

  • MZE1988, but now I realise that you are nothing more than a narrow minded next generation Georgian who will be waving a NATO flag, hating Russia for reasons given to you by people thousands of miles away, you cannot reason you just push it onto Russia and say there it was all their fault and we are perfect, forget the Soviet Union, but wait if you are 20 you would not even know anything, ok I do not want to discuss with you anymore.

  • Just the proof that you are wrong:when there was the referendum,I voted for NOT joining the NATO.But after experiencing the war,I do feel it is necessary for russia to have certain fears not to bomb us.Russia clearly doesn't fear us,it will at least take NATO into consideration! If you are against the west, you don't automatically have to be against Georgia!

  • I am 20,but thanks God I have the chance to have intelligent parents who experienced everything we are talking about,I have the chance to read,I have the chance to listen to the experts and historians and study.I do know what Georgian people who lived in the USSR and after feel.

I don't hate anyone(like u and russians hate Saakashvili),I am orthodox christian and I know russians are also humans. But some people just choose to take side of the evil!

  • There was no Saakashvili and his relations with the US, but Georgian people including me, still knew the ambitions of Russia.

There was not the US but Georgia still existed during so many years!

  • DO you think all those nations invent that Russia is putting pressure on them and continues its imperialistic policies? They can't invent, they feel it.

  • One more thing: It is not that we,Georgians, want to see bad things in Russians.Believe me,we have tried everything to establish friendship on personal as well as on government level. If you are not russian you won't know it!But it is impossible!

  • MZE1988, as for the former Soviet states, they still thinking back into the Soviet times and remembering the Soviet Union, but Russia is not the Soviet Union and you are just a common mind, no intelligence to reason or compare, at first I was thinking that you had reasons on your side and it made it even more serious seeing you are Georgian who knows how this works, since you have seen it with your eyes and live there.

  • MZE1988, As for one of the comments was not meant for you, so no I am not confused.

  • It is sexy to tell the truth...

  • Putin is smart, polite, efficient, well-learned and intellectual... Russia is in good hands with him and Medvedev. Now look at some of the western leaders pfff... Bush? hahaha

  • Yes I agree.

  • your living in a bubble, good luck !

  • if you honestly think bush was a better president than putin, you're really not looking at the facts close enough.

  • bush is not only better, he leads a super power. putin is leader of a 3rd world country that has no influence and makes no difference

    at all globally.

  • MerryChristmas2You, Your right, no one talks about Russia, Eastern Europe those not fear an attack from this country, Georgian president was not begging the world for help when Russia freed S.Ossetia, no one cares or knows that Russia recognised Abkhazian and S.ossetian independence, no one mentioned a "start of a new cold war", US, EU countries and Japan did not ever talk about Russian bombers flying by their borders, or airspace violation.

  • MerryChristmas2You, Cmon, your comment is pathetic, Russia is basically making the headlines above every other nation these days.

  • let russia try to go toe to toe with the united states of america, just once. russia isn't a threat. russia is as it's always been, all words, no actions.

  • No, you got it the wrong way around, Russia took action, and the US did nothing but talk how it will punish Russia and how they condemn their actions, but nothing happened, so there you got.

  • it's not a significant event, who cares.

  • Lame excuse and completely wrong, it is making headlines since it started, it threated to start a new cold war, or turn into another Iraq and you say it is not significant?, then what is significant?, when we have nukes flying over our heads? cmon be real...

  • Russia is a hell of a threat they are as powerful as us don't let the media fool you. We need to have a good relationship with Russia not telling them what to do all the time, they don't tell us what to do. We need to learn to set and watch no instigate.

  • what russia does or doesn't do is irrelevant.
