i got sprayed by dog mace but i was outside at the time and it was winter to the cold air neutralized it when i got inside I dropped to the floor such a intense burning sensation and i just had to tough it out. Thank you... Everything that you have makes a lot of sense. I have seen some of the others and it seams over kill, or just not things I would carry. Like the fishing kit a lot. Being able to catch small carp and trout has saved me before. Long story.

and trust me- don't carry +1, your sorrow will be greater after you accidentally shot someone, than it will be after you had to cock your gun in an emergency. we had enough weapons accidents here in israel, we learned that the hard way.

and that pepper spray is the best self defense tool you can have - protects you both from bad guys and from the law.

Alright freedom is great. I advocate total freedom for guns and everything. Even crack and heroine. Defend your property. Sure. Hunt. You know it. But when you carry a gun around everywhere you go you are asking to get shot in my opinion. Asking to have it used on you. I mean I would advise carrying a palm pistol and pepper spray, but I don't think you should go commando for a daily commute. That even goes for guns in homes. Can be used against you.

This really depends on the mindset of the person who carries it. Look I'm not going to say that I'm comfortable with everyone who carries, because I'm not. There is this "tactical" mindset which goes beyond alertness into possibly seeing threats that aren't there, or can be met with de-escalation. There are those who would take unnecessary risks, because they have a gun.

I just don't think it has to be this way, and I don't think all people who carry all the time are like that.

I've never needed more than 11 rounds of ammo either. After 11 rounds, I just hit them over the head with the gun, it seems to be very affective.

Sorry to hear that mrcombi; but I assure you I am neither a cop nor a criminal, I am just a law abiding citizen that refuses to be a victim and am prepared for any circumstance. Everything I carry is legal and I have the appropriate license to do so. I love the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and wish you had the same freedoms I enjoy.

In the USA, those of us who own guns refuse to grant the government a monopoly on weapons, and I would suggest given the record of governments in general, this is an unwise policy for any nation.

Our Constitution recognizes the right to bear arms as a right which cannot be taken away (theoretically), much like freedom of speech. Lately, more Americans are exercising this right, especially in light of both the incompetence of our government (Katrina) and its growing power (Patriot Act).
