Another Vapor 10 owner here too, but I have the angler version. Good kayak for the money. I'm on Cane Bayou fairly often since it's just a few minutes away.
Do you enjoy your Old Town Vapor 10? I'm looking into getting one myself, but I'm a bit concerned about the large cockpit and how wide it is. Do you find yourself hitting your hands on the side of the boat when you paddle? How about the stability of the boat? I really like the design and wish I could try one out first. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
@phishinvan I enjoy the heck out of my Vapor 10, been having it for over 2 years now. If you notice in this video and some of my others, you will see two other guys, both with orange Vapor 10s. After trying mine out they had to have one, no doubt one of the best 10ft kayaks you can get. Very stable, fast and so much easier to get in and out of then other kayaks. We never have problems with our paddles hitting the sides. In fact, I am taking mine out today!
@warspite2 Great! Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. I'm 99% sure that the Vapor 10 is the one for me. It doesn't look like it would be a fast boat, but you're not the first person that I have heard from that it glides through the water quickly and tracks really well. I'm about sold. I'm so ready to just get out on the water whenever and get at it. I do some Native American artifact hunting in North Alabama and this would be a great way to get to hard to reach spots in the river. Thanks!
@phishinvan i have an old town vapor myself(and a few vids up) i find it is very stable, also i can stand in it i cant do anything while im standing , but i can stand. its a really good kayak for the price i love mine
