At least a generation in-between and not just that, when you're used to hearing the version "on steroids" the original tends to come across far less powerful, pretty much like going from the movie to the book rather than vice versa. I'll have this version *anytime*, but then again I'm from 1972 ;-)

@Enraged10 I my oppinion Rammsteins version isn´t even close to the original..This is a masterpiece in the world of synthpop. In the early years of synth the formula for a good synth song was speed. A synth song had to be catchy and speedy...But then Depeche showed that you can make a great song even if you slow it down.

There is something with the industrial feeling and groove in this song that is really amazing.

And David Gahan is like a 50 times better singer then Rammsteins...
