I just think of Ryans voice on behind the sea, it is so perfect for the sound of that album. Brendons was ok.... Ryans would have been better for me tho. :)
and further more, Pretty.Odd. would have been at least 69.7895 times better if Ryan would have sang all the songs. Brendon's voice sticks out like a sore thumb on that album.

Being honest, I was gutted when Ryan and Jon left. But I think it's allowed them both to create great music and I'd rather it be that way than them trying to force two very different styles of music together or giving up altogether.

I actually preferred panic! when it was the 4 band members and since the split i stuck with panic! mostly because i preferred Brendon's voice. Hearing this actually makes me want to cry because of all of the amazing work they did together to create an ORIGINAL sound. This sound is very similar to the Beatles and its just not the same anymore . But it was their decision to leave, and that is strictly up to them.
Ryan Ross will forever be my favorite musician, ever since I first heard of Panic! when they had just came out.
Yes, the music is very different. I honestly think what happened was after Ryan and Jon made it big, they made more famous friends, they really got to know what made music what it is today, and they decided they wanted to try a new sound.
But, I strongly believe drugs influenced this decision.

@caterpillartastic Actually, they have been answered (thank god!) in interviews. It was pretty much all decided over lunch! XD Ryan said "...there was really no argument, which is really the best way that could've worked out." :)
I definitely prefer The Young Veins over Panic now. Ryan basically WAS panic because he wrote everything. He's was the songwriter for Panic and now that he's gone, they aren't as good as they used to be. Pretty. Odd. is my favorite Panic record because Ryan has more vocals. It's a nice change from Brendon's massive voice. Brendon is a good singer an all, but he's a tad too flashy. I definitely like Ryan's voice more.
I support The Young Veins fully. I just love this sound much better than the traditional PATD sound.
I wish people would stop coming on TYV videos and commenting about how they should be back together, or Panic is so much better. They're two different bands now. Get over it.

I never liked the Beatles, honestly. I really didn't. those of you who say that this sounds very Beatles-esque, I have to disagree. It has Ryan's own personal touch. I like it more than I could ever like the Beatles. It isn't as great as Panic! used to be, but it's still for the best. They're branching out and discovering who they are as artists. Ryan discovered this side of him. Why don't we just support them?
@khemicallykayla Lots of people do. They're passive watchers though, mostly, so you don't get too many comments along those lines. I support them though, and others do too, no matter how many judgemental people are unable to get past preconceived notions that they're becoming the Beatles or that it's better that they go back to Panic! even if it isn't what they want to do. I like the band and voices, but this song gave me a headache, I guess because I'm use to rock, pop rock, alturnative, and basicly anything with a rockin' electric guitar. I don't agree that A Fever You Can't Sweat Out was much better than Pretty Odd, I loved the 60's Beatles kind of sound that album had. Although I'm not too crazy about this one.
yeah Pretty.Odd. has this sound about it that worked perfectly. It wasn't too much of anything and had so much to offer. This is stuck on one genre but it's not too bad. Just wish it was more varied.
Sad cuz these guys are a very capable band. Very talented. I think Ryan Ross And Jon Walker just wanted to revive a psychadelic sound. Like CandySkull said, they showed Smith and Urie their ideas and they were quickly shot down. Urie wanted to go for a progressive pop alternative sound and Ross wanted a Dave Clark Five psychadelic revival sound. This is COMPLETELY 60s sounding to the point where it sounds like they're biting off the sound in its entirety.

The reason P!ATD Split up is because Ryan and Jon wanted to do more of a Beattles sound and the rest of the band wanted to stay the same. This band isn't the best, it sounds to much like the beattle even if they were trying to be like this, they should be more original.

I actually preferred panic! when it was the 4 band members and since the split i stuck with panic! mostly because i preferred Brendon's voice. Hearing this actually makes me want to cry because of all of the amazing work they did together to create an ORIGINAL sound. This sound is very similar to the Beatles and its just not the same anymore . But it was their decision to leave, and that is strictly up to them.

Ryan Ross will forever be my favorite musician, ever since I first heard of Panic! when they had just came out.
Yes, the music is very different. I honestly think what happened was after Ryan and Jon made it big, they made more famous friends, they really got to know what made music what it is today, and they decided they wanted to try a new sound.
But, I strongly believe drugs influenced this decision.
No matter what, I love the whole Panic! gang forever. <3

Not bad, and I can respect Ryan and Jon's decision to leave the band, but I still prefer Panic! - this just sounds painfully similar to The Beatles.

Ryan is amazing, his lyrics are perfection and his new band is just brilliant.
And Panic is good now as it was before. Admittedly I miss the days of AFYCSO and Pretty. Odd, but times change and people change. Think of the The Young Veins as the modern day Beatles, they're so good. I love them both allot, and True Panic fans would too. Be happy for Ryan and Jon, jesus...

I honestly can't see Ryan and Jon going back to Panic. They are doing their own thing now and playing the music they want to. Panic is a totally different music style now. Panic and The Young Veins can;t really be compared.

@caterpillartastic Actually, they have been answered (thank god!) in interviews. It was pretty much all decided over lunch! XD Ryan said "...there was really no argument, which is really the best way that could've worked out." :)

I definitely prefer The Young Veins over Panic now. Ryan basically WAS panic because he wrote everything. He's was the songwriter for Panic and now that he's gone, they aren't as good as they used to be. Pretty. Odd. is my favorite Panic record because Ryan has more vocals. It's a nice change from Brendon's massive voice. Brendon is a good singer an all, but he's a tad too flashy. I definitely like Ryan's voice more.

I love both bands. I definately think Panic! is lacking without Ryan's writing, but it all worked out in the end. They are both great bands :)

I support The Young Veins fully. I just love this sound much better than the traditional PATD sound.
I wish people would stop coming on TYV videos and commenting about how they should be back together, or Panic is so much better. They're two different bands now. Get over it.

I don't doubt that The Young Veins will put a variety of music forth- I mean come on, Ryan is the musical genius who composed soo much for P! It's not like he doesn't know how to do a variety of styles. I think they're just trying this one on, and that's great!

I will forever support all members of Panic!, current or previous. If this is what Ryan and Jon want to do, if it makes them happy, so be it. As for me, I like their new band, but I will stick with Panic! for a while.

i think its something to do with his voice! i dont really know but i think his voice is a bit too soft which makes the music like the beatles than it should be, but theyre still really good :) its just a bit different to the songs he did in Panic! At The Disco... ok VERY different :)

I will forever love Ryan Ross and respect his music, but I don't know how to feel about this stuff. I like the songs, but the lyrics were more complex and just..... Ryan-ish... in Panic. If that makes sense. This doesn't sound like HIM. If he still made music.. the kind of music that he's capable of, I would totally support the split because I know it was necessary. But he's so much better than this

I may be snapped at for the first part of this but
I never liked the Beatles, honestly. I really didn't. those of you who say that this sounds very Beatles-esque, I have to disagree. It has Ryan's own personal touch. I like it more than I could ever like the Beatles. It isn't as great as Panic! used to be, but it's still for the best. They're branching out and discovering who they are as artists. Ryan discovered this side of him. Why don't we just support them?

@khemicallykayla Lots of people do. They're passive watchers though, mostly, so you don't get too many comments along those lines. I support them though, and others do too, no matter how many judgemental people are unable to get past preconceived notions that they're becoming the Beatles or that it's better that they go back to Panic! even if it isn't what they want to do. I guess, for the moment, that'll have to do. :D

I like the band and voices, but this song gave me a headache, I guess because I'm use to rock, pop rock, alturnative, and basicly anything with a rockin' electric guitar. I think The Young Veins are awsome and all, my fav song is Take A Vacation...huh, I miss the old P!ATD, even though I only truely like 2 songs from Pretty. Odd. because it was....well...Pretty. Odd. hence the name................

i love both bands, but now I have to say the young veins is the one extreme of retro-sounding rock, and spencer and brendon are the other, shifting towards pop rock. the sounds sounded amazing in pretty. odd., but now the two bands are too much of a good thing. wish they wouldnt have split... but whatever makes them happy.

I don't agree that A Fever You Can't Sweat Out was much better than Pretty Odd, I loved the 60's Beatles kind of sound that album had. Although I'm not too crazy about this one.

yeah Pretty.Odd. has this sound about it that worked perfectly. It wasn't too much of anything and had so much to offer. This is stuck on one genre but it's not too bad. Just wish it was more varied.

Sad cuz these guys are a very capable band. Very talented. I think Ryan Ross And Jon Walker just wanted to revive a psychadelic sound. Like CandySkull said, they showed Smith and Urie their ideas and they were quickly shot down. Urie wanted to go for a progressive pop alternative sound and Ross wanted a Dave Clark Five psychadelic revival sound. This is COMPLETELY 60s sounding to the point where it sounds like they're biting off the sound in its entirety.

The reason P!ATD Split up is because Ryan and Jon wanted to do more of a Beattles sound and the rest of the band wanted to stay the same. This band isn't the best, it sounds to much like the beattle even if they were trying to be like this, they should be more original.

I don't understand what all the comments plaguing this song are about!? 'Panic! At the Disco' and 'The Young Veins' are two completely different projects. Why are people trying to compare it. I never even knew this guy was from P!ATD and I couldn't care less. Why can't people grow up and appreciate different variations of music for what they are?

@JayParmarVideos because P!ATD is where TYV came from. So obviously, the people who know about the history of the bands would talk about it and discuss it. Especially since "creative differences" is the reason why Ryan Ross and Jon Walker left P!ATD. I don't understand why you're complaining about that. I mean people are still talking about TYV's style so yeah. I don't see anything wrong happening here.

It's good, and I love 60's pop/rock to death and all, but I think Ryan and Brendon worked better creatively when they worked together :/

I just rediscovered P!ATD yesterday, and all of a sudden, BAM! They broke up?!?! But I understand. I guess.... Their music taste's are a lot different, and I like The Young Veins. Even though I don't think I can ever get over the break up. :(
