  • Throat singing?

  • Genius

  • There is NO VOICE like Julian's... LOVE IT!

    He's TOO cool.... For REAL!

    :)

  • It's like those Tibetan monks chanting!

  • Fake, photoshopped

  • i played it twice, and each time i could smell pear cider..

  • Oh Julian, you're too funny. Love you.

  • first pics ive seen of him since the late 80s. Shocked how old he looks, and whats going on with his hair? Mind you im 45 so i spose im an old codger now. Wish i was 20 again, wheres all those years gone. Seems like yesterday.

  • mmm, not his best track.

  • He's a human didgerido!

  • hum and whistle, or make your mouth an o and your tongue an e

  • Its the drugs

  • Someone should be singing a fifth or something.

  • LOL!!! i did that it sounded amazing ... lol

  • It's called Tuvian throat singing. He's not that great at it, but he could be...to do it at all is impressive. It involves keeping the bass note steady and singing other notes on top of it...singing 2 notes at once basically. If you listen he achieves it for a moment. I have been doing it for a few years and it's a lot of fun...relaxing!!!

  • Thanks, Mr Cope. I could use that as a backing track next time I'm on the spoons.

  • yeah, that was pretty freaky, as is HE.

  • Good lungs!

  • HAHA, COOL

  • Echo & the who?...

  • Its the Sunn 0))) drone thing, acapella.

  • Í diddit already when I was 9

  • Er, what's he actually doing here? Someone mentioned "Mongolian throat singing" but they must be having us on. Like Mr. Cope is, surely?

  • Exactly what I imagined Cope to look like. o_0

  • If you like overtoning then check out Albert Kuvezin and Yat-Kha...

  • Ah, Mongolian throat singing! Mongolian shepherds have been doing this to kill time for thousands of years. Naturally, the Arch-Drude would be into. He's pretty good at it. It's also known as "overtone singing." Julian is actually singing chords, not single notes.

  • primitive & rite !

  • what horrible hair he's got now

  • tha drude rocks!

  • Awl-rite!

  • that's brilliant...how do i embed? x

  • Thanks for posting.

    Unusual clip of Julian.
