Lehi was a prophet in Jerusalem at the same time as Jeremiah. Lehi was commanded to take his family and flee Jerusalem before it was destroyed. The Book of Mormon is a record of their lives as they journeyed across the Ocean to America and their dealings with God. It records many of the struggles of two lineages.
@WhatEverHD - The Nephites who are decendants of Nephi the son of Lehi and his older brother's decendants (Laman). There are more groups involved but those are the main ones discussed. Just like the Bible is a history of the Jewish people and their struggles. The Nephites and Lamanites had similar problems. At times they were united but at the end the Nephites were killed off. In 3rd Nephi chapter 11 it talks of the visitation of Christ after his resurrection. It is a very Spiritual event.

He rewrote all of the rituals and initiations of the Masons. He added all sorts of new degrees. In America, in Joseph Smith's time, there was only the Blue Lodge and he only obtained those 3 degrees. They were much more Christian and pure than they are today. Still Masonry stems from the Temple Endowment which Joseph knew of already.

Lehi was a prophet in Jerusalem at the same time as Jeremiah. Lehi was commanded to take his family and flee Jerusalem before it was destroyed. The Book of Mormon is a record of their lives as they journeyed across the Ocean to America and their dealings with God. It records many of the struggles of two lineages.

@WhatEverHD - The Nephites who are decendants of Nephi the son of Lehi and his older brother's decendants (Laman). There are more groups involved but those are the main ones discussed. Just like the Bible is a history of the Jewish people and their struggles. The Nephites and Lamanites had similar problems. At times they were united but at the end the Nephites were killed off. In 3rd Nephi chapter 11 it talks of the visitation of Christ after his resurrection. It is a very Spiritual event.

That is not the case in the LDS church. You don't have the slightest clue what the difference is between the two if you think the LDS church does that to women. Women in the Relief Society have much independent thought and are responsible for taking care of the welfare of the women and sometimes the men in the church.

@WhatEverHD - I love the prophet Joseph Smith so much. I know he is a true man of God and the evil men of his day were led by Satan to take Joseph's life. Yet Joseph knew his life would be shortened and he willingly laid down his life. The moments just before his death show he knew that his death was eminent. He prepared the church leadership ahead of time to make sure there was a continuation of priesthood keys and authority to keep the church going as the Doctrine and Covanents instructed.

Books like Daniel, Revelations, Ezekiel, Isaiah were but the majority of the Bible wasn't written as prophecy. There are prophetic excerpts throughout the Bible but many passages have no prophecy in them at all. You belong to the cult I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ.
