@bigblockelectra Yes! The memorymoog and polymoog and others. All I have is Arturias minimoog, mood modular. I also have sample moog and others , why?
@bigblockelectra Well, it's hard to know what keyboard anyone uses in a song unless the sounds it's so obvious representative of the keyboard or you ask the keyboardist and he remembers (lol). I look at the video of intermission and Jim Gilmour has two PPG Waldorf 2.2+waveterm and two memorymoogs and a minimoog. Michael has an electric piano and a memorymoog. J.C. had a couple of minimoogs for basses.
Bottomline the bass on that song sounds like a minimoog. Cont
@bigblockelectra The ppgs are playing some of the pads ( the ones that sound glassy). The punchy pads are probably from the memory moogs but you could do them with a Jup8 and Prophet V or a CS80. The most interesting sounds on the song are from the PPG which uses wave tables and the sounds are not just the typical analog sounds but more interesting.
@scrawfrd02 On the video it's Arturia's minimoog but mostly Arturia's minimoog, cs-80, prophet v, moog modular, sample tank moog and Guidio's EG70 piano
@hajtko it depends on what you want it for. For piano action Nd playing electic piano or regular piano the kx8. To play fast leads and control a few v synths get the axiom. The uf7 is a good compromise of the previous two and contrary to what u read out there it works. I also have the akai 61 which probably the way to go if u are going to be recording or playing live and want to control a lot of stuff
Hi, thank you very much! I play by ear. I don't have midi files. If you need help with the sound for the moog setup let me know. Frankly, I don't know anything about midi files. Never used them. Sorry. Take care
Thank you. I don't think Saga is well known in the US. In fact Saga is the most underated band I know unfortunately.
I am playing a minimoog software synthesizer from Arturia thru a midi keyboard. If u want to play Saga it has to be by ear. I don't think there is anything written for them. Cheers
Well. It feels like the regular Yamaha upright piano. Like the one you see at a school. It does not feel like the Yamaha grand. Again, it's only a 600 midi keyboard.
A mi no me gusta ver television.. La cancion es facil de tocar. Me toco tiempo sacarle el sonido al Moog.
were the original keyboards they used analog?
bigblockelectra 1 year ago
@bigblockelectra Yes, on the record it's a duo between a monophonic minimoog and a Gibson.

@PeterTheSAGAFan were there any polyphonic minimoogs built?

Hello Peter: "all by ear" = congratulations!!!!
Do you play only digital synths - where is the Minimoog?
I never knew that SAGA is famous in the US at all?

How does the keybed of the Yamaha KX8 feel? Does it feel like a grand piano?

Thank you very much. Thought about putting the whole song together like on the other vids but decided to just do the solo part. Glad u liked it.

That was good Peter. I am a long time Saga fan - well most in the start 80'ties. Love this solo.
