amazing. i am thinking about a trip up there. what month did you go in, and how many days do you think would be good to spend there and get all the photos i'd ever want?
@dahlgren81 - sorry for taking so long to reply: I'd recommend a pretty good size zoom. I used 99.9% my Nikon 200-400 f/4 VR (which on my D300s has an effective 300-600mm).. and often I'd put on my 1.4 extender which gets me up to 840mm. *Make sure you have a good tripod !!

@5831a YES you do... it takes a little adjustment to be on trails that you realize the bears make... trip and experience of a lifetime!

What kind of lence do I need for this place ? Is a Canon 100-400 OK or do I need bigger ? What did you take with you ? Thanks
