Once someone in my class felt the need to make a remark about how I " can't get a girl". I explained that I choose not to waste my time on having a romantic partner just to have a teenage romance that lasts for a week tops and brings me no profit out of the experience at all. Then the entire class is calling me gay because I don't want a girl.
I explain to them that I didn't say I wasn't attracted to girls but that I said I didn't want a romantic partner because I can do more beneficial thing
@dragonfly4943 You do what you do. You tell them you are not gay and that you appreciate woman but that your not in it to get your heartbroken. Girls love that and plus let them know your a gentleman. Trust me and I'm telling you from experience most of my friends and I ended up finding real love from 19 years old and up. Anything before that is a waste of time and heartache. It brings down your self esteem and self worth makes you doubt yourself. Your a free thinker.Good Luck
So true, I'm in school to become an M.A. and we are reading a book on medical law. When we take tests i understand the answers but if not written the exact way in the book it's considered wrong... Luckily our teacher is "understanding" and even she disagrees with some things in the book.
i'm 18. when i finish school i sayd, whad did i learn? and i realized the only thing i've learned it's maths, the other things you will never use in your life
@vamomanyavamo biology, english, chemistry, physics, history....actually all very, very, very important things you WILL use in your life. English lets you communicate what you want to say in a well thought out manner so that others may understand you (based on that comment, you could have paid some more attention to it in school). Biology teaches you what you're made of, and in turn, what other things are made of. Same with chemistry. Physics teaches you how the universe works.
@vamomanyavamo History will teach you what we as humans have done in the past, and how really how history does repeat itself. Arguably, history is the one thing you should pay the most attention to. If you study the ways civilizations have been run in the past, and the reasons for their downfall, it gives you great insight into how our civilization works, and the patterns that it is following. Knowing math without knowing all these other things is useless.

School is NOT about education. Let's take this for example; if a school could offer a class where a student could learn anything, ANYTHING they wanted, they wouldn't offer it.
This is simply because it's too hard to control an individual. A school would rather have someone learn nothing at all rather than anything they choose.
it pisses me off my parents are so annoying when i try talking to them about this kinds of stuff they always say "unless you master it and know everything about it than you can talk bad about it but if u havent tried it and dont know everything about something u cant say that" and its so annoying because i do fucking know but uhh...

I am only 38 years and I remember when I was in grade school the books still said that when we whites got to America there were no people here, Just savage indians. That was going on at least as late as the 1980's. Oh, Yeah and columbus discovered America. He dixcovered the West Indies and there were a whole lot of people here already. They lied to us so fucking bad that now I refuse to support the school system. Thank god my mother was the one who really taught us things and she didn't lie.
The time has come for Free energy to be revealed ,But the Big corporations spend millions to ensure that information does not spread to the masses,Get a REAL working magnet motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Let the revolution begin!
@MagicalOillusions I couldn't agree with you more. If I could have those 12 precious years of my life back, I would have never spent it in the prison we now know as school.
I've had loads of people tell me that I'm an intelligent guy, including tutors in college (all of my coursework was apparently A material.) I could never be bothered with exams though, I never even bothered revising. They just seemed like a massive void of pointlessness to me (and the funny thing is that I "passed" some without even trying.) As Icke says all they prove is how well you can remember and regurgitate things onto a piece of paper.
Think he is right about education. The irony is he to is merely filling my left brain. Not telling how to use the rightside. As for peer pressure we are all guilty of exerting it.
It´s difficult for me to see what David Icke is talking about. I don´t really remember my past of schooling; we have ever been urged to think about future prosperity only (career, money). But I think the endoctrination worked well; we have long been exposed to illusions and lies that we can´t now easily see simple truth.
Formal education taught me to follow a specific, limited way of thinking. I was never, really naturally with the system and decided to do some REAL research and I found that most facts and historical events and many other beliefs I held were in fact a LIE or a Deception! We must remember that many "facts" found in textbooks are re-written LIES! Esp. in the history and religion areas. Luckily, today, we have the internet. Propaganda is NOT limited to formal education, it goes on everywhere!
His ideas of mass indoctrination through public education are not original. He also believes that Queen Elizabeth and George Bush (among others) are actually reptiles. Do a little research. TOTAL NUTJOB.
Wrong. He does not believe they are 'reptiles'. He believes they are **hyrbrid bloodlines** OF an ancient reptilian race (important distinction). He also backs this theory up with tons of research into ancient tribes/civilisations and ancient artifacts from across the globe, as well as deep study into the likeness between a human survival mindset and that of reptiles (which has also been studied by mainstream science). Maybe *you* should do a little research?
This is sooooo right. I was called "disruptive" at school, because I used to ask questions rather than going with the flow. I also happen to be left handed or "sinister", if you want the Latin translation. i'm therefore RIGHT BRAIN dominant, along with the other 10% or so of the population - Well done David (Again)
@IWantMyVisionBack If it makes you feel better, I went to public school too and least you are getting "high quality bullshit" instead of the nerdy state version of bullshit, and your parents pay for you too listen to it too
He's absolutely right. I've recently noticed how the religion of Islam has been literally forced upon me. I'm not joking I've been studying it for about a year and a half with test after test after test....I'm fucking sick of it!!
I was a troubled kid back in the day... now I am merely a pissed off adult that loathes the public school system scam. My dad, a sociologist, used to say repeatedly during my life that I had a learning disability. No, I just knew when I was being lied to every damn day of the school week.
....that's why the world is so fucked up because everyone is taught how to live and what to believe and what is supposedly right and what is wrong, and how to thing and act. Education was a perfect example Icke gave about this theory. EVERYTHING is controlled and will be until every individual starts acting as an individual and living as an individual, and thinking as an individual, not as a government controlled/formed group.
David Icke pretty much summed up the reason I never cared about voting for presidents n learning about whats going on in the world n government. Cuz it's all bullshit n I don't want 2 learn bullshit. I don't want 2 learn anything, rather I want to sit back n see it for myself n then make whatever I feel or believe out of it. I agree that you need 2 discover things for your own n obtain your own view n opinion rather than be taught some1 else's view n opinion which is thought 2 b the "right" way.
.......and is this type of thinking(hypothetical and theoretcial) that breeds all the skeptism towards Icke's claims as well as others like-minded. School turns people into theoretical and hypothetical thinkers rather than worldly( meaning realitic), practical, and common sense thinkers. THATS WHY SO MANY PEOPLE JUST CANT SYNC WITH ICKE AND OTHERS LIKE-MINDED; THEY ARE APPOACHING THE SUBJECT FROM AN ACADEMIC STAND POINT AND IVE ALREADY STATED THE OFFICIAL DEFINITION FOR "ACADEMIC"
Why is sociology taught in an academic setting if the term academic literally means: learned but lacking in WORDLINESS(reality), COMMON SENSE, or PRACTICALITY? Wouldnt that defeat the purpose of sociology?
Whats going on here is that academia is geared towards theoretical and hypothetical thinking and it is this type of thinking which keeps an individual in DOUBT........
@teched246 You would think so. I know I do. My father is a Sociology professor and talking to him about truths or anything outside of his limited view of the world seriously challenges his reality. He cannot hack it... but oh boy, does he ever have a huge book collection...never left his house to live life, but he sure can tell you that you are wrong for living life and actually experiencing it, if it contradicts all he holds sacred in his texts...
So now lets summarize: the term "academic" literally means; learned or scholarly but lacking in worldliness(reality), common sense, or practicality. In light of this official definition, the question of 'what is the nature of what is being tought in academia if realistic thinking, common sense, and practicallity aren't part of the criteria' and 'what does it mean to be a scholar' is rightfully asked.
-learned or scholarly but lacking in WORLDLINESS, COMMON SENSE, or PRACTICALITY. (and you can check it if you dont believe me)
So with that being said, "academia" is OFFICIALLY recognized as not being geared towards turning out critical thinking, realistic(worldly), or practical individuals.
education is good schooling is bad meaning the only one who can educate you is yourself i draw so i dont get brainwashed by those teatching BASTERDS!!! and i love to think for myself
Im a mathematics major in college all i want to do is study math physics and philosophy till i die in my first math course in the college my proffesor was an obnoxious left brain bitch who litrerally told anyone who wasnt a math or science major to leave the class and that then she told the rest of us that if we arent doing good on her test we should just drop not only the course but our MAJORS as well and that we should just go to the CAREER center and find a different major
here's a nation trailing behind 17 other countries in math and science and heres a math professor LITERALLY telling her students to drop thier science and math majors and trod on over to the CAREER CENTER. at one point i even remember her desperatley trying to discourage a student from his science major to the point where he was RUNNING FROM HER AND SHE WAS CHASING HIM TELLING HIM TO DROP HIS MAJOR.................... and people say there's no conpiracy to dumb down the population
Are you all so blinded by the genetically modified food or the chemtrails in our sky not to realize that they want us to bicker and argue. Monsanto, Bilderberg, GE, McDonald's all work together to make us into drones. We must work together as one and embrace our differences. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!
your conditioned to believe that, sucka. I just graduated high school, and I despise how every says that i'm now in the "real world". when in reality its just a world that some rich cocksuckers make everyone participate in to be able to meet the basic needs for survival so they can make easy money. BEND ME TO THE WILL OF MY CORPORATE MASTERS
Indeed. I'm 35 now and was always told about what would happen when I was in the "real world". The "real world" is a load of crap and is just about people operating within this artificially created system to maximize their gain.
@EvilTube2007 Did you also spend alot of sleepless nights studying for exams and worrying about turning in your research papers?! Now i realize what a freakin waste!!!!
@PineAway515 Not that my opinion really matters, but I commend you, my friend. It is so refreshing to read a comment of someone my age whose eyes are wide open. Our generation has a great task ahead. I wish you the best.
Hayeks central thesis is that all forms of collectivism lead logically and inevitably to tyranny, and he used the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany as examples of countries which had gone down the road to serfdom and reached tyranny.
YOU are simpleton! Some of the most 'educated' people in the world will tell you the exact same thing as Icke about education - including even Noam Chomsky (the most quoted intellectual alive) - who has something like over 50 degrees. What they teach in schools has nothing to do with education; it is about churning out system-fodder - complicit with their own ignorance. Theres no room for evolution in schools.
Some of the most educated? I thought you just said education was a terrible sin your god Chomsky referred to. I guess thats why he's got 50 degrees and is active in academia...
Anyone who's thought abit can realise there's a level of indoctrination and social programming that goes into the education system. Nationalistic ideals and working values are meant to be instilled into students. You and your heroes are not special in pointing this out.
First of all, nothing should be 'instilled' into students. It should also NOT be my 'heroes' who are responsible for pointing out the subtleties of the system (as you describe), it should be the duty of these unquestioning 'teachers' or 'repeaters' (more appropriately) passing on these man-made myths (which pass for education). Learning how to pass exams is one thing, the true pursuit of objective knowledge is completely another.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Education is valuable, such an institution may itself not have a great doctrine of encouraging imaginative thought. However because of the sysetm students have more time afforded to them to develop themselves then they ever would working for sustenance.
There is no great secret plot Education is involved in, it's a part of nation building. Only anarchist can have issue with this.
And here you are listening to a guy who lies for a living and thinks the world is run by man eating lizards.
I never mentioned anything about students 'working' instead of going to school (they should be allowed the opportunity to gain knowledge - just not in this way), what they called centuries ago 'wage-slavery' (the idea that one must rent ones self to survive) is also intolerable.
Your lizard comment shows truly how little you know of David Icke's work.
If you've read any page of the "Biggest Secret:the book that will change the world" you will know you are wrong. A book with a chapter named "don't mention the lizards".
Also noone presents a via alternative, they all end up being varations of what you call wage slavery. Work in exchange for any good could be called wage slavery.
I've read all of his books, and it's nowhere near as simple as 'man eating lizards rule the world' in fact on his latest DVD, it took a 3 hour presentation just to cover all the basics of this theory, your over-simplification puts the theory completely out of context. Besides which, Icke isn't an academic, he left school with no qualifications, and certainly didn't come from a privileged background.
In the end it's priviledged westerners judging how society doesn't conform to their naive fantasies. Academia can argue safe in their armchairs behind the walls of their nations for eternity about the merits of anarchistic principles and Ideals. The truth is they will never work, sacrificing effeciency for a nicer moral climate doesn't stop other regimes invading your country.
Children are being influenced is natural, if not by teachers then their ignorant parents.
As someone who has been through the education system I've seen exactly what he describes here happen first hand, students become clones of their lecturers, teachers repeating inaccurate biased information. There are exceptions, but very few. What passes for education (at least here in the UK) is a complete joke. Educational systems are not in place to evolve humanity, they are there to impose obedience, indoctrinate the young and block independent thought!
very true....these are the revolutionaries of this century.. ...Micheal Moore, David Icke, Peter Joseph only to name few are the true freedom fighters.
@mew3MX Michael Moore? My friend, i dont think you have done enough research! Please see the excellent documentary "Esoteric Agenda". For free on youtube.
Education don't teach how to think for yourself and question authority.

THATS WHY SO MANY PEOPLE JUST CANT SYNC WITH ICKE AND OTHERS LIKE-MINDED; THEY ARE APPOACHING THE SUBJECT FROM AN ACADEMIC STAND POINT AND IVE ALREADY STATED THE OFFICIAL DEFINITION FOR "ACADEMIC"
teched246 2 years ago
Why is sociology taught in an academic setting if the term academic literally means: learned but lacking in WORDLINESS(reality), COMMON SENSE, or PRACTICALITY? Wouldnt that defeat the purpose of sociology?
Whats going on here is that academia is geared towards theoretical and hypothetical thinking and it is this type of thinking which keeps an individual in DOUBT........
teched246 2 years ago
@teched246 You would think so. I know I do. My father is a Sociology professor and talking to him about truths or anything outside of his limited view of the world seriously challenges his reality. He cannot hack it... but oh boy, does he ever have a huge book collection...never left his house to live life, but he sure can tell you that you are wrong for living life and actually experiencing it, if it contradicts all he holds sacred in his texts...

So now lets summarize: the term "academic" literally means; learned or scholarly but lacking in worldliness(reality), common sense, or practicality. In light of this official definition, the question of 'what is the nature of what is being tought in academia if realistic thinking, common sense, and practicallity aren't part of the criteria' and 'what does it mean to be a scholar' is rightfully asked.
teched246 2 years ago
One of the LITERAL definitions for "academic" is
-learned or scholarly but lacking in WORLDLINESS, COMMON SENSE, or PRACTICALITY. (and you can check it if you dont believe me)
So with that being said, "academia" is OFFICIALLY recognized as not being geared towards turning out critical thinking, realistic(worldly), or practical individuals.

your conditioned to believe that, sucka. I just graduated high school, and I despise how every says that i'm now in the "real world". when in reality its just a world that some rich cocksuckers make everyone participate in to be able to meet the basic needs for survival so they can make easy money. Indeed. I'm 35 now and was always told about what would happen when I was in the "real world". The "real world" is a load of crap and is just about people operating within this artificially created system to maximize their gain.

The Road to Serfdom written by Friedrich Hayek.
Hayeks central thesis is that all forms of collectivism lead logically and inevitably to tyranny, and he used the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany as examples of countries which had gone down the road to serfdom and reached tyranny.

Things were so much better when we didn't have an education system! It's not like we need to read or study a discipline.
This man is a simpleton.
Chinomareno 3 years ago
YOU are simpleton! Some of the most 'educated' people in the world will tell you the exact same thing as Icke about education - including even Noam Chomsky (the most quoted intellectual alive) - who has something like over 50 degrees. What they teach in schools has nothing to do with education; it is about churning out system-fodder - complicit with their own ignorance. Theres no room for evolution in schools.
themetalicarus 3 years ago 13
Some of the most educated? I thought you just said education was a terrible sin your god Chomsky referred to. I guess thats why he's got 50 degrees and is active in academia...
Anyone who's thought abit can realise there's a level of indoctrination and social programming that goes into the education system. Nationalistic ideals and working values are meant to be instilled into students. You and your heroes are not special in pointing this out.
Chinomareno 3 years ago
First of all, nothing should be 'instilled' into students. It should also NOT be my 'heroes' who are responsible for pointing out the subtleties of the system (as you describe), it should be the duty of these unquestioning 'teachers' or 'repeaters' (more appropriately) passing on these man-made myths (which pass for education). Learning how to pass exams is one thing, the true pursuit of objective knowledge is completely another.
themetalicarus 3 years ago 5
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Education is valuable, such an institution may itself not have a great doctrine of encouraging imaginative thought.
Chinomareno 3 years ago
I never mentioned anything about students 'working' instead of going to school (they should be allowed the opportunity to gain knowledge - just not in this way), what they called centuries ago 'wage-slavery' (the idea that one must rent ones self to survive) is also intolerable.
Your lizard comment shows truly how little you know of David Icke's work.
themetalicarus 3 years ago 5
If you've read any page of the "Biggest Secret:the book that will change the world" you will know you are wrong. A book with a chapter named "don't mention the lizards".
Also noone presents a via alternative, they all end up being varations of what you call wage slavery. Work in exchange for any good could be called wage slavery.
Chinomareno 3 years ago
I've read all of his books, and it's nowhere near as simple as 'man eating lizards rule the world' in fact on his latest DVD, it took a 3 hour presentation just to cover all the basics of this theory, your over-simplification puts the theory completely out of context. Besides which, Icke isn't an academic, he left school with no qualifications, and certainly didn't come from a privileged background.
themetalicarus 3 years ago 5
In the end it's priviledged westerners judging how society doesn't conform to their naive fantasies. Academia can argue safe in their armchairs behind the walls of their nations for eternity about the merits of anarchistic principles and Ideals. The truth is they will never work, sacrificing effeciency for a nicer moral climate doesn't stop other regimes invading your country.
Children are being influenced is natural, if not by teachers then their ignorant parents.
Chinomareno 3 years ago
As someone who has been through the education system I've seen exactly what he describes here happen first hand, students become clones of their lecturers, teachers repeating inaccurate biased information. There are exceptions, but very few. What passes for education (at least here in the UK) is a complete joke. Educational systems are not in place to evolve humanity, they are there to impose obedience, indoctrinate the young and block independent thought!
