  • the Japanese have been using their phones as wallet for many moons already. i hv no idea why this technology only recently introduced in the US. but Google did 1 thing right - making it very easy for the common ppl to move from physical wallet to digital wallet. Microsoft couldnt pull this off

  • haha secret sauce 23:00

  • if you can just tap have stuff shipped to your house 8:30 why would you even go to the store?

  • i used this at walmart and they had offers for everything and i saved $50

  • Nobody could get it and nobody could copy it!... cute :)

  • How deliciously evil :)

  • I like your videos.

  • It sounds good, but i did have a slight problem with online purchases. Will try again !!!1

  • I am an 80 years old man with only a little knowledge about PC,technology, hi tech phones, e commerce etc BUT MY MIND IS BLOWN OFF AFTER LISTENING TO THE ENTIRE PRESENTATION. I WILL APPLY FOR THIS E COMMERCE FACILITY WHEN IT IS IN AUSTRALIA.So Google when will this be in Australia? I want to use this facility asap!!!

  • @curtiswrigley it takes a while for things to expand nationwide and globaly, they are talking about the future so in a few years this could be available at all shops worldwide and nfc will be available in nearly all phones. Before you say anything no i am not a fanboy im just speaking sense,i am currently writing this on an ipad, and my phone is a nokia. you should think before you type

  • No way! Cash is king. Google Wallet can be hacked in eighteen minutes or less!!

Don't fall for a single payer system where all information is stored centrally. If Microsoft isn't trustworthy with this sort of thing then why is PayPal and Google any better? What about Osama Bedier who worked as Vice President for both PayPal and Google Wallet? Interesting connections are emerging in particular with muslims and Google's plans.

  • Im dubious of anything that takes one hour to explain to me why something is good.

  • Google Wallet purchase: - Buy $200 smartphone (that has NFC) - Configure wallett to use my credit card - Go to store, buy something go to one of few Stores/ POS that supports Google Wallet - Get my phone out - Turn my phone on or unlock it - Start up Google Wallet application - Enter PW or PIN code - TAP phone to payment system; it uses the credit card I already have Credit card payment: - Got to store, shop anywhere - Slide card at Any POS register
  • @curtiswrigley from your point of view you don't see the point of buying a phone that and setting it up. but for me i bought a phone that has it because it had things i needed (Gallaxy Nexus) and every store i go to in my town has NFC technology at checkout so this is really helpful to me. if you don't want to use it you don't have to but you should think about something form every point of view before you put it down.

  • I hope they add visa to it :)

  • I hate it how everyone is hatin on google wallet and I bet as soon as apple rips off the shit everyone's gonna say oh this is the best and how apple was the first to do this. Lol why r people complaining about security especially if u have the galaxy nexus. The the if would have to pass face unlock and your pin to get in Google wallet duhhh

  • I would like to know a bit more of information on partnering up with you guys on this project. I have a pretty good protype that will change the way mobile commerce will be seen by users. Im a student at LACC and a part time worker in Subway, and my every day life revolves around alot of people, and realize a solution to this payment system, you see is not the phone that matters is the information. What would happen if you loose your phone you gonna have to wait a period of time to get new....

  • Watch this space.

  • Y U ONLY ACCEPT CREDIT CARD?! am i the only one w/o a credit card?

(cuz using credit card actually makes u pay MORE than not using credit card)

  • This will be epic

  • Anyone else wish Google would release this for the Nexus S?

  • @snickificationLemony they have...

  • this is the future

  • quien va a hacer la publicidad de los locales en las publicidades en este nuevo formato? como se puede enganchar esto conlas pagimas de internet de las retails????

  • cuando llega a argentina?

  • cccvbbfggbg

  • vvvvv vb

  • @7711portugal I totally agree +1

  • Congratulations! Very informative and inspiring.

  • Does she know any part of the presentation? She can't spend more than 5secs without looking at the prompter...

  • @TixTipx yea its almost inwatchable! luckily the product intrigues me enough to watch the full video

  • Google's got the right idea with wallet=phone - it will all happen. I hate carrying 5 different reward cards in my wallet for my 15 different routine vendors. But you would think that Google being the world-class company that it is, and its chief executives, being the world-class players that they are, would know enough to put the Powerpoint screen view up at eye level.

  • Stop looking down!

  • she kept looking down at the lines in the screen, which is unnatural and boringgggggg

  • Sorry I can't pay, my phone died.

  • As a vendor, I hate " offers". I cannot exist by offering 50-75% off.

  • Why is Google using an Apple browser?!

  • @4ourEver why not

  • I think it would be easier to invent another pocket in your pants to carry your wallet.

  • One day, all of these apps will be merged into one. epic. app. It will be called: GOOGLE. And it will give your brain an mental orgasm.

  • If everything is on your phone including money, surely that opens up a whole of security issues if you loose your phone or have it hacked.

  • I made a speech in my collage in 2006 on how we can use our cell phones to pay in the future. How we can use Bluetooth to send an verification to an machine in the shop after purchase, internet cards, useing your sim card as pay card etc.,!! I had some many ideas in every field...what the fuck now i stuck and cant do anytthing in my life!!! :( fuck my luck...

  • @KarthikSoun SUE THEM FOR STEALING YOUR IDEA!

  • Google Wallet shows this is going to be the future. Check it out. Check out this site, it has great content as if updated daily.

  • the fuck do you need to improve shopping bitch we're in recession.. you wouldn't know lmao you're tied to google

  • ewww whats with her forehead

  • besides google, no other companies have resources to build such a system

  • Whats that on her forehead

  • and then your phone breaks....... were still gonna NEED a credit card, because of this

  • @Alex13N the same amount of times i drop it, it seems i always drop it on the corner of something shard, and i get a nice big crack in it

  • agreed, what if my phone ran out of battery? Can it still works?

  • Comment removed

  • But she's soooo excited about it all.

  • what if the battery is low or the Fone is lost any one can crack out the information and how fast wil it be able to Deactivate and active on my new mobile wallet app on my new Smart fone

  • @deepakvijay04 you need a password, lol there are security feature, you can like wipe the data etc..it's more secure then a debit or credit card...japan has had it for years..no issues.

  • i only want porn with my technology.

  • This is yantram provides online Dataentry services like DataProcessingCompany,OutsourcingData Processing,DataProcessingServices, databaseentryservices,DataProcessingCompanies.

  • neat and all, but I think the biggest question that wasn't answered... What happens when I loose my phone? Sure there's the pin, but I still wouldn't feel comfortable knowing it's out there unless I can remotely wipe the phone and know that security chip is empty. I really do like the idea of this, I hope it moves forward safely and securely. But I need to know that if my phone isn't in my possession, that it's secure. Even with a PIN/password, if someone can see the smudges on my screen, done.

  • Ohhh shit who gonna watch this 1hour :02 minutes :05 sec long video?????ewwwwwww

  • Before this comes into play I think that the smartphones need to be more reliable, first of all my T-mobile Mytouch 4g Android phone cannot even make a phone call correctly, what makes you think that I am going to trust this "phone" to have access to my personal finance information. So if i leave my wallet at home, and i rely on my phone to buy food/gas 1200 miles away, and my phone ( battery dies, screen cracks, freezes, restarts, gets a virus, has no signal, or is updating) What do I do?

  • This product is SUCH a great idea, it is crazy how far advanced it is. But i think ill shy away for a few years while I watch as Google works out the glitches.

  • @blasta510 Same thing you did before smartphones existed and you forgot your wallet at home, cry on the internet. Fuck damn, it's like people refuse to adapt to change.

  • @4ourEver

I bought an Iphone 4s :) Problem solved.

  • i think those who dont want the chips, SHOUDL BE SHOT AND KILLED for the NWO.

  • all we need now is like a chip that can be implanted into palms..pay with that....who needs money? -_-

  • can't wait to use it.

  • a credit system that is used by everyone and will destroy physical currency and put everyone under its control... the mark of the beast

  • @d3ltadrive not really the mark just nfc

  • @d3ltadrive nobodys going to sue google wallet.... maybe a few nerds until the chick at the checkout is like wtf is this go away...

  • @d3ltadrive That's quite a connection you got there.

  • @d3ltadrive did credit cards replaces paper money? no this is the same thing...lol I don't see your point.

  • @d3ltadrive physical currency is already obsolete if you have a debit card or a credit card.

  • @d3ltadrive Do you think Google is the devil ?

  • @FredMaHead One of his puppets (like the Catholic Church, UN, ect.)

  • So...let´s go shopping lol ..i love that guy..

  • God she is boring.

  • @missiles24 I want Vic Gundotra to speak for everything

  • How does Google Wallet play with online payments?

  • Awesome idea google! The only thing left to do is have ALL merchants have NFC machines.

  • Thumbs up if you watched the whole video from beginning to end

  • what's a pirates favorite vehicle ?????

    An Rrrrrrrrmored carrr !!!!!!!!

  • Funny how she is reading from the screens in front of her!

  • Yawwwwwn

  • who is this indian, what's happening ? what is this thing ... I think this is bullcr*p

  • Why would it only be available for 1 phone for 1 carrier? Not even all Android phones.

  • and you still have to sign, garbage, that completed defeats the process, I love google, but this is a completely an idiot product unless google is trying to become another venue like mc or visa, then it makes sense but otherwise, booooooooooooooooooo

  • It is amazing how Google is pioneering this most important field of e-commerce and all commerce. There is a great need for global and local payment gateway. This is a great and long awaited idea whose time has come

I and my colleagues are excited and hope to be a partner of Google Wallet.

Thank you very much for your contribution to our world.

  • Whats that thing on her forehead?

  • Long but I watched the whole thing. I love?hate Google. I wonder how Dick Durbin's insert into the Frank Dodd act will work with this. Why did it take a full year?

  • pleasee learn from apple for confereces.

  • How do I get this

  • google is amazing

  • One day GOOGLE will be = EARTH

  • Is the lady reading it out from a WORD document...

  • @tonandada or something along those lines as it looks like... lol

  • what happens if ur battery runs out .. ur kind of screwed

  • @1aadler No less screwed if you had your wallet stolen.

  • HAHA Imagine if you lost it?? >.<

  • GOOGLE...I LOVE YOU!!!!!

  • This technology is almost out of reach for me right now, but will this be able to work through an intermerchant faculty like PayPal, or will the GoogleCard replace the PayPal and Debit Card functions?

  • I just read some of the comments outlining obvious problems foreseen with this "wallet". All thee will lead to good reason to move on to PERSONAL IMPLANTED DEVICES/CHIPS.

Here is wisdom: W has a numerical value of 6. It won't take long at all... This is a huge year!

  • @sthnwatch FEAR GOD. *Ghost voice*

  • @EvaBongoria Yep, that's the way EB.

  • how long before u can just walk through the city wirelessly collecting everyones bank details via this phone? if it...sorry, WHEN it is hacked, it would be so huge even google couldnt pay for it.

plus, and most importantly, where the hell do i put my ACTUAL money lol, youd still need a wallet, surely u dont pay for everything by card?

  • that pimple is so distracting

  • Barter to coins. Coins to paper. Paper to plastic.

    Paper to plastic!

That reminds me. I have to go the grocery store. Paper? or Plastic? I usually bring reusable bags, thanks so neither.

I'd rather ditch the plastic. Save the paper and the coins -there must be gold in the chain somewhere - and start saving not only the earth, but saving for a rainy day.

    How about you?

  • I remember looking for Bed, Bath and Beyond online and they hadn't started building their web presence yet!!

  • Seems like a good idea, but no level of "security" can stop people trying to hack and get the information of others.

I am down with what google is doing and will probably get the app when released but that doesn't make me any less worried

  • So, we're going to forget the green color? :P

  • @day7creation Er, what browser are you using? My browser has spell checker!!! Get with the program!!! Upgrade already!!!

  • And what happens when you run out of battery? :D

  • hi

  • but where will i put my coins?

  • I'm not watching this for an hour.

  • identity theft like a mother fucker

  • But Google you never setup anything to work in Canada. We are next door to USA. Why cannot we use Google Checkout in Canada.

  • @hareem Because it's Canada.

  • Transaction list on the Google Wallet App?? That would be handy, especially if it kept copies of the receipts!! Ground Breaking!! for Every business person who has to do expense reports!!

  • Great innovation, takes paying for hamburgers to the next new level!

  • tap pay save, tap pay save, tap pay save... i think iv got it?

  • asdasdasdasdadassdasd

  • omg if you lost that phone and it was in the wrong hands all hell would break lose in you're world haha

  • @Aramcutieee Thats why you have an screen unlock code

  • @DaGetz10 I don't like the idea of everything being on my phone its kinda risky unless there's some kinda insurance

  • @Aramcutieee credit cards are insured against fraud, same as plastic, and as they pointed out it will be secured with lock keys and your number is never displayed. I'm sure they will build in remote wipe and remote deactivation as well, that would be a no-brainer

  • i just watched this WHOLE VIDEO. its actually very interesting...i learned ALOT.

  • Boring.........Just stick a chip in my head

  • 20:33 SOMEONE HELP!

can i use my paypal to put money on the GOOGLE PREPAID card, or do i NEED a card?

  • she is reading,,

  • What Coffee shop is going to buy a $600 Dollar scanner for pos Phone carriers like this.

  • Did she steal that shirt from a pirate?

  • @mineralt Then that must say a lot about how dangerous she is; to steal from a pirate.

  • @mineralt She a Pastafarian

  • The demo took way longer than a normal debut card does. I would probably get this, but not use it after the nobility ran out (2 uses-ish)

  • I realy like it. But mobile phones in the future will have such stres: i will listening music, watch videos, make and share photos, search internet... I dont think any phone battery will take it for a long time.

  • @drizztmay Not at all, of course technology's main usefulness is in the spread of information, but to the extent we are wired today, how much of that is actually benefiting the people (at large, perhaps outside of the US) and not just consumers and marketers? The marketing of technology has always been the interconnectedness of the planet and world. To get rid of these devices now would be silly, but to keep using them in the way that we have decided to, will only perpetuate problems.

  • What happens if you lose the phone?

  • 2 more vids

  • Watch her perform, just like Steve Jobs. Steve was first though!

  • Oh my! Google PowerMeter, Web History, Checkout, Chrome Sync, Cloud Print, market.android.com , Movies, Music Beta, Boutiques, Public DNS, FeedBurner, reCAPTCHA, AdSense, goo.gl, DoubleClick, Analytics, Fiber experiments, Gmail, Docs, Reader, Calendar, Latitude, MyTracks, Maps Navigation, Picasa Web, Blogger & YouTube, and now One Pass and Wallet. Plus Offers Beta on the way. Wow. All our data will surely be belong to Google! Good thing they're at least shutting down Google Health. Or so I read.

  • What happens when someone hacks into the network like they did Sony.

  • ppl....think before u act..this is an easy way for a hacker to steal ur money or if u are loosing ur phone ure phucked..all the info about ur credit card can be storend without u even know that.

  • @ForForce i assume you didnt watch the video, yes it is stored, but on a chip where it can not be tampered, and the nfc is only turned on when you activate it

  • why did they take the video down the other day?

  • @deathbybots Because at 0:18:35 you could see his credit card number at the top. I'm guessing someone forgot to block out the numbers before they uploaded the video the first time (probably got chewed out too). It's so funny because Osama made the whole, "security freak" speech mere seconds before making that blunder :P

  • @deathbybots Did they really? Can you confirm this?

  • so many jobs will be lossed after this is fully implemented. (Cashiers will be obsolete)

  • @getdizal4

It's called INNOVATING our own economies destruction.

  • Want. Want want want. Want want want want want want want. Google please run this country. If "Google" shows up on my presidential ballad, you def have my vote.

  • You need to also include the ability to store cards other than monetary cards. It has to be able to replace all the cards in your wallet (i.e. your license).

  • @google: Your evil is showing

  • osama FTW

  • Osama Bedier should've done the whole presentation. That blonde woman looked like a robot. She was too cold and unemotional. Not good at selling an idea/product.
