I love the respect, and humbleness that Jerry brings to his performances of these Gospel songs... You can sense that it's important to him to give all of the personal conviction he can muster to the Lord when he sings one of His songs. Which is not a bad idea, considering his many "adventures" he's had in his lifetime. Personally, I think they'll let him in on his ability to move people's spirits (like me) with great old songs like these.

Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Swaggart are first cousina. They all play the piano in the same honky tonk style. I love it. Jerry Lee suffered a lot of pain in his life,because of his lifestyle. He was a lecher and a drunk. Jimmy Swaggart had a lot of pain in his life because of his lifestyle. He was an evangelist who got caught cavorting with prostitute. Gilley? Greed got him. He also knew the Girls All Get Prettier at Closing time. However. All of those mother humpers can play!!!

I've read a biography of Jerry Lee Lewis and Jimmy Swaggart. Their lives remind me so much of my life when I was growing up. Our families were both Assembly of God and very close knit. I really hope that Jerry Lee does make heaven.
