  • How does it compare to a bigsby?

  • @Pittsisamazing The Stetsbar feels more like a Kahler, has simular pitch range as a kahler and stays in tune much better than a Bigsby.... I have a tele with a Bibsby too. The Bigsby has a cool vintage vibe but functionality is marginal. A Bigsby requires drilling holes in your tele, where the Stetsbar is a direct replacement that can be removed without any damage(Holes) in the guitar.....

  • @lanesuzza Cool, I was considering a bigsby for my dean cadillac, but after looking at vids for this thing, I'm leaning more towards this. What effect did it have on tone, sustain, and intonation?

  • @Pittsisamazing With a tele I had to shime the neck just a little. I think that descreased sustain just a little bit. I havent noticed any adverse affect on tone. I adjusted the intonation just like you would a regular Tune-O-Matic... No worries there. I like it much better than my Bigsby for function although Bigsbys look cool! with some guitars, perhaps your Dean you may not need to shime the neck.... Cheers

  • How much did you have to shim the neck to get the string height back down. theres much better stuff on the market than stetsbar. I tried one ,sent it back. Didn't like the idea of shimming the neck.

  • Please change that nasty pickguard, I think it ruins the entire look of that guitar.

  • i would buy a stetsbar for my ibanez grg170dx but they were really expensive

  • it's not entirely in tune at the end, really is it?

  • hi does the stag mag has good cleans?

  • @xRAKDOZx The Seymour Dincan Stag Mag is my favorite Humbucker. It has great cleans and handle overdrive nicely with a bit of bite similar to a single coil.... For a Telecaster my favorite Neck Pickup is the Dimarzio Twang King....

  • What kind of experience would you need to mount this yourself

  • @MrNikeJS knowing how to use a screwdriver is about all the experience you need, just unmount your bridge and the stetsbars screw spacings are exactly the same as the stock bridge so it will screw into the same holes, not mods or drilling needed.

  • How tight is the tension of the tremolo bar, like how hard do you have to pull compared to like a strat or bigsby. thanks

  • hey i have a question. i heard you can put this on a les paul.. but i have a ESP EC-50 its a les paul shape. but would it still be able to fit on it. because i dont want to buy it and then it not fit plz answer and thank u

  • I feel tingly in my pants.

  • floyds are better

  • @joshmrtn10 Floyds work well however I would rather not cut a huge hole in the body of my 25 year old telecaster. The Stetsbar can easily be removed by simply unscrewing the screws that mount the bridge in place. I can re-install the original bridge if I want and there is absolutely no damage caused by installing the Stetsbar. For vintage guitar fans like myself, the Stetsbar is PERFECTION! Cheers!

  • @lanesuzza i hear ya!! bigsby's arent great because alot of the tele's sustain comes from the string-thru-body bridge, and cutting a large hole in the guitar also affects tone. this thing is perfect!!! how much do they cost?

  • @joshmrtn10 why on earth would you say that without explaining the situations in which a floyd is better? they are without a doubt the most stable trem out when locked, but are a bitch to tune and maintain compared to the stetsbar, not to mention drilling collectible guitars is sacrilegious and with a stetsbar you don't need to drill anything. if i got a guitar with a trem already installed i would get a floyd, for old hardtails it doesn't get better than a stetsbar at this stage.
