Oh wow! You also had a Micom data switch. I installed and maintained one of those switches, with 3 interconnected cabinets, in the mid 1980's. It was our main data comms using serial connections before we changed over the ethernet. I still have a couple of the 8 channel data cards and a 16 channel stat mux card which used a dedicated Z80 CPU on board. They were a fun toy back then. Oh the memories of those good times. Computers were so much fun back then.
Nice! Brings back memories of my Data Center glory days. DEC-VAX, DEC-ALPHA,
HP-3000/9000, IBM AS400,RS6000,ES9000,9370,4341,4381 DATA GENERAL, TANDEM, WANG - the list is endless. But those printers shown? HATED them! Preferred the old 1403N1 (different hardcopy requirements, tho).
Question: And this is one you should probably have in the video description.
Was this filmed recently or is this footage found on VHS/beta8/dv(?) from way back then?
I ask because the video quality is not too bad :)

I worked in a place like this, 1980 to 1983.
It was the closest thing to my science fiction fantasies of the time.

Very nice. Reminds me of one of the centers I worked in as a student in college (also circa 1992)

Some nice footage. I have never seen inside a data centre, let alone an old one :)

NASA Ames Research Center. This was part of their first Internet connections, called NASA Science Internet (NSI).
