I knew this great man briefly...we went through boot camp together....I was just an MA, and really feel unworthy to even comment, but want to show my respects......I am so saddened that he is no longer in this world, but so proud to have ever met him!!!

Mike Monsoor was not killed, he met death on his terms. His actions personified the term Hero and showed a society who throws the term around way too genorously what being one really is. Every father in America should relate this story to their sons. I'm sure I speak for all Americans when I say that we mourn Mikes passing and honor his memory. As a father I only hope that my boys can become the same type of men. To Mikes father, job well done Sir.
His fate really touched me and I can never imagine what kind of human one must be to act in such a selfless way. I think there are only a few man with this mindset and they all have to be and will be remembered as heros.
I can't think of myself to ever reach be a great individual just as Mike was. I never knew him but I wish I did.

Young, Big heart, loves life and free . Then when His Beloved country call, He responded and offering His ownlife for the rest of us to live free and safe. That was some easy googling.
The second song was a bit harder due to I didn't understand the lyrics properly.

i love the photos of him as a kid, you can see his soul in his eyes, he obviously loved his fellow sailors; i am forever jealous of those who knew him personally.

i've been watching this vid over and over manytimes, as an GI Baby from Vietnam and a Father of 2 young sons, Michael had demonstrated what a true American Hero is about to my Family. Young, Big heart, loves life and free . Then when His Beloved country call, He responded and offering His ownlife for the rest of us to live free and safe. Micheal, im scare but proud to have my oldest son said that you are his Hero and can wait to serve His Country !
