@mastercheef12345 took the words out of my mouth, tue original scrolls were inspired: the original law and the prophets, the original GOSPELS, and the original letters, those were written by the SPIRIT through willing vessels such as isaiah, matthew, and paul. william tyndale is the one who translated the original english translation of the BIBLE if i am not mistaken, which was translated from latin scripts in which the catholic monks used, the latin script was translated from the original greek
The King James Bible is the Bible that God has used to change the world...and the church has for the most part (((thrown out))) that book....because they are now smarter than the Author of that book.
@mastercheef12345 Of course God did not write the King James...Men under the breath of God wrote the King James Bible!!! God had nothing to do with the ESV...the ESV is wicked!!
@mrmark262 1. No, The original autographs of the Bible are inspired. Inspiration does not extend to manuscripts and particularly not on a particular translation.
The versions AFTER the KJV are translated to give preeminence to the scholars' personal belief of the Godhead (trinity), by denigrading the NAME "...that is above every name that is named..." to a secondary position after the word "trinity".
In Jesus is the "...fullness of the Godhead, bodily...': and His is the NAME "...under heaven, given among men, in which we must be saved." MORE: "...repentance and remission of sins should be preached IN HIS NAME...".
@mrmark262 The devil inspired approach would be to trick people into enforcing a translation of old English people don't understand to cause confusion and to make people get lost. I don't know what this ESV is your referring to but you can't take one translation to justify them all useless... If we play this game then we should call the King James version blasphemy and force everyone to learn ancient greek and hebrew.
@PacificNW326 Read the book of Acts. God created the many languages, you honestly think He can't provide us with His word in our own language? He promised to preserve it. His Word demands that it be translated seems how there are many languages, just because its a translation doesn't mean it's not His word. The Word of God is not bound! All scripture is given by inspiration of God!!
@PacificNW326 I'm talking about the English Translation, not greek and hebrew. If someone has the TR from which the KJV was translated and want to read that instead then go right ahead. That's not my argument, I want people on the Word of God, it's either the KJV and the manuscripts in which it came or its a corrupt bible (i.e modern version) that came from corrupt manuscripts.
@JoeShmuck35 Nice sarcasm, I was talking about the KJV being the Word of God in english and nothing else. It's the only english translation that we have thats the Word of God. But good try.
"For this we say vnto you by the word of the Lord, That we which are aliue and remaine vnto the comming of the Lord, shall not preuent them which are asleepe."
Do you think the average person can read and understand this verse accurately and clearly just from reading the AV1611 without misunderstanding it?
@TheKJVberean - What about the manuscripts that the KJV was translated from? Are those invalid now? What about those english speakers that do NOT read the KJV but instead learned Herbrew, Aramaic & ancient Greek? Do they not have the word of God?
@TheKJVberean - If you don't think the Holy Spirit can assist one to discern the Word of God from lies, then you do not know the Holy Spirit. Do you understand the manuscripts used by the KJV translaters are newer than the ones used by the translaters of the NIV? Did you know that NIV translaters removed verses that scribes had added to the KJV manuscripts because those verses were NEVER there originally. We know this because there are older manuscripts in existence than those of the KJV.
@PacificNW326 I would like to point out that you are arguing about a translation. The point is, there is no argument to be made. We don't even have the original Aramaic Gospels we have the Greek translations of the Aramaic. The argument is one that was made by a classmate in seminary, reading the Hebrew and Greek versions is very different than the KJV or NIV. Its a different experience all together, but all christians cant be expected to learn Latin, Greek and Hebrew.
@the13thof12 the virgin birth of Christ, the removal of Jesus's deity, the Godhead, etc. The fact that every word of God is pure, and yet the esv removes THOUSANDS of words says enough.
I understand why people are afraid of new translations,,,if you dont know the origional language its easy to be deceived,,,but there are better translations out there,,,what makes people think that the men who translated the King James were infallable?
What ignorance from John piper. But thats what you get from a false teacher. He uses modern perversions such as esv so therefore will never come to the full knoweledge of the truth. KJV is the Word of God and nothing else!
@TheKJVberean-Did Jesus speak english? Did Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, & Paul speak english? Are the manuscripts that the KJV is based off of in english? If not then is it the Word of God? You do not even know the "Word of God". Who or what is the 'Logos'? The 'Logos' is the word of God. Nice try though in tricking people that is the word of God is just ink & paper :( Is the word "Abba" english? Well this is what my Lord & Savior has told me I am now allowed to call God. He is my 'Abba'.
oh... you're one of those... you need to get the Trinity and soteriology down before you worry about Bible translations... submit to what you read more than what you have come up with about the "Pure Cambridge Edition"
@pinkglosses - they get caught up with the do's & don'ts just like the pharisees would do in Christ Jesus time. It's called legalism not CHRISTianity.
Whats next? How do we remove Jesus from the gospel?
