  • There are lots of versions out there, but this was the only one I know that has a OLED screen. You can tell it's OLED because of its brilliance. I think you can get them at ThinkGeek for about $99. But I would just get a current gen iPod Nano and buy a watch scrape for it.

  • i have this clock, is it really oled? i mean, it was fucking cheap when i bought it... and anyways the screen died and now shows multithings (glich where shows the clock the same time any other thing like configuration and video)

  • Is the headphone jack 3.5mm or 2.5mm

  • The smaller 2.5mm.

  • how did you get the time to be digital? i have the same watch as you, and mine is in the regular clock format. i cant find out where to go in the settings to change this.

  • Got one for Xmas this last winter, and this thing truly rocks. Thanks China!

  • My biggest pet peeve with current LCD technology is the backlight bleeding and bad black levels; both totally negated with OLED!

  • OLED:Will be very cheap to make, Efficient, Almost recyclable, they can only get bigger.

I wonder what the next generation of display would be, I can't even imagine it.

  • bend it! bend the screen! YAY!

  • OLED is a screen, it has nothing to do with MP3 players! ;o)

It is also a MP3 player, and a wrist watch... ;)

  • Unfortunately I haven't had too much experience with OLED technology, but I hope it replaces LCD, OLED is much better in my opinion, because the images appear to be clear, and you don't have the problems you have with LCD when it comes to looking at the screen from an angle. But OLED screens flicker. Does OLED use less electrical power than LCD?

  • OLED dont "flicker", it is like a computer, when you record the monitor with a camera, it looks like it flickers, so dont worry it is just the camera :D

  • For those who may not know.. the flickr is caused by the Refresh rate of the Camera being off the Refresh rate of the display.

  • this is way better than my mp4 player thingie*thasts just what ppl call 'em

  • i just wanted to use it for a watch and play music but the headphone jack is 2.5 instead of 3.5 when using just clock mode it last maybe 7-13 hours so it only would work if ur outside then u have to charge it again tho it should be awesome cause u have ur music and data files on ur wrist at all times :)

  • You can extend the battery life to several days if you adjust the "backlight" (which is the clock display) to 30 secs or less. But it looks way cool when the display is always on.

  • OLED's produce their own light. Don't they?

  • I believe most all displays require a backlight- except OLED. So yes, I think you're right.

  • wouldnt it be easier to show the watch with better lighting to prove its a watch and OLED

  • I tried it with more light and it was worst. The OLED screen is truly the best you can get. The flicker problem is because I needed a to film this with a higher frame rate (30fsp?) vs the 16fps (shown).

  • OLED dont have refresh ratios why is your shit flikering FAKEEEEEER!!!!

  • It is not a fake.

  • no its the camera you fuckn dumb ass most cameras made in 2006 and earlier have this problem

  • its not fake, look at other videos of small OLEDS they flicker too

  • um the flicker only shows up on the cam its point a video cam at a tv you get the same thing i forget why it happens though

  • Because the rate at which the screen refreshes it's information is slower than the speed at which the camera is recording visual data.

  • ha ya thats it thank you

  • Can't work out if the audio is out of sync or if this really is completely dodgy!

  • If they can make a flexible touchscreen, then we could probably have a digital papyrus style pc, where I pull the screen out.

  • that would be perfect for a laptop :D

  • they made it so u can fold it. and they made it as a peice of plastic paper i dont think it would be 2 hard for some1 to make it touch screen with all the ppl that mod things i dot think itll b long

  • why ther are frames on that video oled's dont have any frames!

  • The camera catches the flickering but the human eye does not- due to the number of cycles per second the watch produces vs the number of frames per second the camera records.

  • But movies and graphics have.

  • A watch? I don't feel the need to have 24/7 access to mp3s, movies, etc. Not to mention it's not exactly a cool fashion statement. I'll take a handheld unit any day.

  • plus you smack that bulky thing on somthing it's gonna be a real ouch in the wallet!

  • the screen isnt bulky its the memory and all the components for the OLED and the battery and watch housing the screen is really really thin plus sony made an OLED 27in tv with 1080p :) thats awesome

  • I am selling them on ebay for £45.00 total free p&p. My items are already imported so you don't have to worry about a tax bill....like everyone else selling them. For £45.00 this is a great offer. My ebay id is the same as on here fuk3699. I also have many other items for sale check them out !

  • I just saw these watches tonight. I love watches and especially unique ones. Not to mention if it has 204GB that's even more better. Great video too. I have to get me one. ^_^

  • Heres one on Ebay for $58.99 check it out. Just search for

    Item no. 220130218089

  • Nice $ for 2GB! But the unit is not water resistant as indicated. How can it be with an open USB & power socket.

  • I have one & use it almost everyday to watch shows I download from revision3. It can handle a light splash say from washing your hands, But yea I wouldn't get it too wet. It's a fun gadget for the price. I just got a nicer widescreen one with 4gb & built in speaker.

  • You gotta give a demo on YouTube on your 4GB Widescreen. BTW, your 16mm stuff is sweet!

  • with oled technology you will can do anything Do u imagine?

  • Can you imagine this and Surface Computing, all in one packeg? Hell, can you imagine this in the NFL

  • but if the batery is low and the watch is turning off i can see the clock???

  • If the battery is low, the watch turns off automatically (if display mode is set to continuous). At any point you can turn it back on to read the time- then it will turn itself back off. Even if the battery is "dead", the time stays current, and the videos/mp3s are in EPROM.

  • i hate wearing watches... definitely wouldn't wear a 5" computer screen on my wrist.

  • Er.. 1.5" screen.

  • So how's the battery life? That is a genuine Sony is it? There's a lot of them on ebay that have no brand name...

  • Takes about 2-4 hours to fully charge. About 12 hours of clock display, or 6 hours of non-stop music, or 4 hours of non-stop video playback. Charges from your laptop to wall socket (mini-USB).

  • How did u have time display for that long? My mp4 watch only diplays time for like 4 seconds and it switchs off. Help me

  • u need to change tha backlight timing lol...

  • oo so thats what "backlight" is, i thought it was something else.

  • only problem is...if it's an OLED like it says...there is no backlight.

  • cos its bright enough?

  • OLED = Organic Light Emitting Diode

    key words 'LIGHT EMITTING'

thus no need for a backlight to illuminate it.

  • LOL! You're right. The "Backlight" option should had said "Clock Display".

  • 2/16 is my birthday

  • the simpsons from 1950 lol

  • I am sure if you were looking at this in real time you would not notice the screen freshing rate (irritating.)

  • Looks like this is the hopeful iPod killer.

Imagine if you got internet on this thing...

  • Looks like this is Sony's Hopeful iPod Killer. IF this thing can play mp3s. That would rock.

  • this thing CAN play mp3's

  • how long dose the oled last for?

  • I found this on some site:

However, Young also said today's OLED technology -- which averages 10,000 hours until it becomes half as bright -- still lags behind the 30,000- to 50,000-hour lifespans of today's large televisions.

  • minority report

  • The camera catches the flickering but the human eye does not. Possibly due to the number of cycles per second the watch produces vs the frames per second the camera records.

  • the same thing happens with a camera and a television. both operate at 60fps. You can get 3 results: perfect image, flickering, or a blank screen.

  • Why is it flickering? OLEDs don't flicker, surely?

  • I thought you could look at pics while listening to music on that thing. Also, I was wondering what the video conversion rate is for the NXV format. I heard for most video the file size goes up when converting on high quality, but there are low quality settings too, what does the vid look like at low quality NXV?

  • It's an amazing watch- will sell this one to get the 2GB. Lots to improve on in the future: better instructions, different clock displays, & firmware that will play AVIs directly (instead of the conversion process that must take place first). The display is the BEST, however. OLED is far better than LCD!

  • i got mine today but for some reason the display is very dark

i cant see a thing when i watch it in the sun

    the instructions are funny^^

  • Dry turning brightness/contrast up. Look for an online manual if you're having trouble reading yours, SONY translations sometimes annoy me cause I can't read it.

  • i am geting this watch in the post so 2gb £60 i gust wont to now is the software that come with it good and do u know where to get the fimware update from sorry 4 the spelling i type to fast 4 my oon good
