It's important to notice that the "and" is used in British English, not in American English.

eg: 999,000

nine hundred and ninety-five thousand (British)

nine hundred ninety-five thousand (American)

Yes, that's fine. Thanks for mentioning that. You can use hundred when the number ends in two zeros.

1100 = eleven hundred (good)

1100 = eleven thousand (good)

1145 = eleven hundred forty-five (a little awkward)

I see that Paul responded to you already. One other thing to know is when there are three zeroes in a row like in 1000 we never ever say "ten hundred" or "twenty hundred" for 2000. We say that when we are young and our parents will correct it, and we never say it again.
