The Arab world was certainly well-ahead of the Europeans from 800-1100 ACE. Unfortunately, they dropped science and progress, and picked up religious extremism.

Sure, we owe quite a bit to the EARLY Muslim world. But has come out of the Arab world in the last few centuries? Any scientific discoveries? New inventions?

I wouldn't view it that way, Sohail. Let us not make this into a "new" kind of "them and us". We all need to share this knowledge of the ancients for humanity. Many cultures helped advance human knowledge. Acknowledging the origins is good. But taking it "back" just gets us into another round of power games again.
