  • i feel insane saying this, but john lennon was a terrible bassist. he played bass on this song. thats why is sounds like huge dog crap. dont get me wrong, john lennon was awesome.... at guitar..and piano, and vocals, but not bass. oh, almost forgot.... great cover. keep it up

  • PERFECT! I´ll try to learn it now!

  • It may sound like John BUT it is definatly Ringo.

    just sayin..

  • You had to shout "I've got blisters on my fingers" at the end!!! :-))

  • Me parece que tocas re bien, pero por alguna razón me caes bien :P

  • Wow! that was amazing!

  • so... u got blisters on yo fingas?

  • check out this guy doing Strawberry Fields and Rain, both are not physically hard or taxing but the mental parts make them the hardest In My OPinion....i.e. trying to fill in some very blank periods in both those songs...no easy rhythm to grab on to, you have to make it all up as you go !!!!

  • Great!!!

  • Keep Rocking ¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • ill be watching this everyday til i get it right. Great cover! thanks for the upload :)

  • great cover, you didn't miss the constant bass drum hitting

wish I could jam with you

  • Ringo realy let it all out on this song .the orignal song made for the white album was 27min then 12min then the settled for what is now 4.30min after 18 take no wonder he got blisters on his finger!!!

  • what would you say is the hardest beatles song to play on drums in your opinion?

  • Personally, I don't think it sounds like John at the end, but it IS Ringo who screams the phrase out. The reason WHY he did is because there were numerous sessions of this song, including one that reached thirty minutes long consecutively after the lyrics are over, which is where he got those blisters from.

  • Man, you got it down. All you need is a big nose and a small chin. :-D hahaha

  • YOU ARE PERFECT IN THIS COVERRRRRRR!!!!

Great performance, the best Beatles cover I've ever seen.

  • Those flips that you do with the drums sticks make the video 10 billion times more awesome than it already is. Perfect!

  • very nice touch with the fade out and fade in

  • Any chance of seeing you do "Hey Bulldog" in the near future? I need to learn it for my band and I trust you way more than my ears :-D

  • Kozy, I'm still waiting for Glass Onion!

  • the last yell is ringo! the original version was like 27 minutes long, and they practiced it all day long! by the time they recorded the shorter, final version, ringo couldnt contain himself, and yelled"IVE GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGAS!" because he really did!

  • great cover, all of them!!!!

    what about "dig a poney"?

  • If you listen very closely, you can hear John ask "How's that?" before Ringo yells. So the scream is very clearly Ringo. You can't hear it on this video, but you can hear it on the stereo remaster.

  • I GOT BLIZTAZ ON MY FINGAZ!

  • I really want to learn how to play this song, but I'm only a beginner. Man do I wish I could drum like you. Incredible.

  • I don't think so. John's voice is much sharper than Ringo.

  • You got blisters on your fingers?

  • It is a fact that Ringo yelled at the end; on the 2009 remastered white album documentry, Paul was talking about Helter Skelter and said Ringo "threw his sticks across the room and screamed, 'I got blisteres on me hands!' and it was great!"

  • i could watch you all day ! , just brilliant on every video ive seen so far . keep them coming please

  • I agree, you'd try Cry baby Cry

  • Ive got another drum cover you could possibly do, its cry baby cry, its got such great drum fills and a good beat, i think you should give a try, and again, very nice cover

  • I have no doubt that it's Ringo saying "I got blisters on my fingers." There is way too big of a difference between Ringo and John vocally to suggest otherwise.

Great cover though. "Day in the Life" next please :)

  • great drum cover like always

  • @91schumacher Thanks very much for your comment!

  • Koji, in response to your question in the description, it is Ringo that does indeed scream "Ive got blisters on my fingers" at the end of the song :D

  • @marioman1983 Thank you very much for response!

  • もうホントすごいです!

  • @modpsyche コメントどうもありがとうございます。

    そう言って頂けるとアップした甲斐があります!

  • It's amazing how many different fills Ringo can do with just the snare and one tom.

  • @123spiker123 I agree with you!!!!! Ringo is great!!!!!

  • KOJI DOES IT AGAIN!

  • @SirBrianCabrera Thank you very much, friend!!

  • dude i really love your vids

i´m a beginer in drums and this is one of the groups i´m playing

    grettings forn gran canaria

  • @katarot36 Thanks very much for your comment! Please enjoy playing the drums!

  • batmankozyy, could you please cover Sexy Sadie, I'm So Tired, and Cry Baby Cry? Thanks! :)

  • @Xmenfan246 Thank you very much for the requests!

I will do those great songs in the near future...

  • Listen to RIngo screaming in his song "I'm The Greatest"...It sounds exactly like Ringo screaming "I've Got Blisters On My Fingers!" at the end of Helter Skelter.

  • @Xmenfan246 Thank you very much for the comment!

I know Ringo's "I'm The Greatest". But that sound is different from that screaming at the end!

Ringo's voice is more mild and warm. john's voice is metallic and solid like that screaming.

This is my hypothesis... Ringo definitely screamed that words while very long and hard sessions.

So it was "Ringo screamed it" as their recognition. However, Ringo's voice was not recorded then, because of "Off Microphone". John yelled it out instead of Ringo.

  • Hi again!

Your drums cover was... so perfect!

And Ringo definitely yells his hands are painful.... because this song was taken from a 15 or 30 minutes version. Try to drum for 30 minutes non-stop :P

I dislike this song, but the White Album is a kick in the ass, it's awesome, to my own opinion it is the best Beatles Album, though it was at the beginning of their split. John and Paul's tension was high, and John said: "i put my song on First disc and you put yours on the second one". Weird.

  • @Yoshi4drums Thank you very much!!!

Yes, "White Album" is really good! It is like seeing various pictures in the museum. Very interesting!

It was very hard sessions... So Ringo definitely yelled it.

However, the voice at that time is not recorded... Or, it was a very small sound (off mic.), I think.

That voice was recorded as "Vocal Tracks".

You will be able to find "isolated vocal tracks" of "Helter Skelter".

Please listen to it carefully. It is JOHN.

    Thanks,

  • Fantastic playing! You've videos have made me see Ringo Starr is a whole new light!

  • @transtremm Thanks very much for your wonderful words! Ringo is one of the most greatest rock drummers!

  • Hi Koji!

I thought I made a comment on this, evidently I didn't! This must be the rawest of Beatles songs...almost heavy! You play it with relaxed precision... I do play drums a bit...but nowhere near your standard! I haven't touched a real kit in 10 years...and after watching this with envy, I think I'd better stick to drum programming, unless I work with you on a collaboration! Superb work Koji!

    All the best

    James

  • @MrSoftshoe Thank you very much for the comment, James!

You also play drums? That's great!!

Let me know if you will make a cover of this song... However, before I don't forget this one, haha...

  • @batmankozyy Hi Koji! Yes, I play drums...but as I said, not for a long, long, long time, and I am a novice compared to you! I doubt very much I'd do a cover for this song...I don't think I could sing it! Have you done your video for 'I'm Down' yet?

    All the best

    James

  • @MrSoftshoe Thanks for the reply, James!

Paul's singing of this song is really cool, hard, and wild!!!

However, You might be able to sing it, I think!! ;)

Sorry, I have not done the video for "I'm Down" yet.

But I should confirm your email well again ahead of that.

Because it was very difficult english for me, lol. Anyway I will reply later!

  • awesome

  • @noble381297 Thank you very much for the comment!!

  • You are the fifth Beatle my friend!

  • @stopmotionkai Hahaha.... Thanks very much for your comment on dream!

  • Have you deleted the drums track of the backing track??? GREAT JOB!!! :D

  • @TheBeatleMirko Thank you very much!! I didn't delate the drum track. Is it possible?

  • @batmankozyy Yes, it is possible. You need to find the Helter Skelter multitracks from RockBand, and with Audacity, delete the drum track.

  • what brand of cymbals do u use?

  • @jazziestge0ff They are "Avedis Zildjian" cymbals. 14" new beat hi-hat, 18" rock crash and 18" medium crash.

  • I always enjoy your drum covers very much, and so I did with this one. One thing I like to do is to play your videos muted and sync the original recording to it, so I see you and hear Ringo at the same time. And then I am regularly amazed at how accurately you manage to play along! Every awkward fill, every beat is precisely in place! Great, a true visualization of Ringo's playing! And I love the drum track on this one, that really big and heavy, pounding rock beat. Thanks so much for your work!

  • @Fiselgrulm Thank you very much for grateful comment!

Oh, it is another interesting way to listen. Please enjoy it!

  • Man, I took the day off just to see your videos today... I've seen before some of your videos, but now I've seen all of them. That's absolutelly your masterpiece. You're the best drummer I've seen in the whole YouTube.Let me request a great song for you (but a long one also): I Want You (She's So Heavy)! I believe you're going to enjoy playing, as much as I'll enjoy watching if you do it!

  • @mustangSVT23 Thanks very much for your wonderful comment!

I already got a lot of requests of "I Want You". Yes, I will do that cover in the near future!

  • INCREDIBLY AMAZINGLY UNBELIEVABLE! Kojy, this is your biggest hit! You rocked out that Drum Set... Congrats Brother,

    Peace

  • @grossitodrummer Thanks very much for your nice comment, friend!

  • Awesome. Maybe i go cover this one myself :)

    Rock on!

  • @TheCdrums Thank you very much! Let's enjoy it!!

  • YEEEE!!!! RIFADO MI AMIGO

  • Asian Ringo!

  • @Rysmugen Hahah... Thank you very much for the comment!

  • btw.... there s no doubt that its ringo. Not only does it make sense given the situation but it is clearly his voice.:)

  • Thanks very much for all of the comments! I will reply later...

  • this drums is amazing! nice cover

  • @ianwlad Thank you very much for nice comment!

  • WOW sounds dead on! Nice!

  • @dgarreis Thanks very much for your comment, friend!

  • great cover as always. as a Beatles fan is impossible not to like your videos. It really lets us see what a great drummer Ringo was.

  • @Datomz83 I appreciate your wonderful words! Thank you very much!

  • Awesome as always!

  • @drrobertoboogie97 Thank you very much for the comment!

  • @batmankozyy Thank you very much for these awesome videos!

  • Great as usual!

  • @smedly500 Thanks very much for your comment, friend!

  • It was definitely Ringo. He's said in interviews and in the Anthology that he was screaming. It was because he had been playing that song for 20-something takes, so his hands were literally bleeding.

  • @Blaze1289

actually... I heard that one of the takes was 20minutes long!

  • @KedmenecMartin This is true! :)

  • @Blaze1289 Thanks very much for the comments!

Yes, Ringo says that "I said". Paul also said that Ringo said... But I still hear like John's voice.

    This is just my hypothesis.

Ringo definitely screamed that words, but "off microphone".

And then, John shouted it "on microphone".

Of course, it is not well-grounded, haha...

  • Great job again Batman! It must've taken awhile to memorize the whole song and all of its fills haha. Keep it up!

  • @GBPackers3224 Thanks very much, mate! It very took time, hahah...

  • Bitch'en!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @JoeD60 Thank you very much!!!

  • Veeeeeeery impressive!"!

  • @jullex92 Thank you very much!!

  • That was awesome!!!!!

  • @Mattdrum81 Thank you very much!!

  • My friend, my prayers have been abswered when you did this cover. Thank you, and amazing job again. But how about yer blues for the next cover eh?

  • @thecclproject1 Thank you very much! Though I had opened "Yer Blues" to the public before, The sound has been muted... I think that there were problems on the copyright. So I won't do it, sorry.

  • thanks once again for sharing your brilliant work. let me tell you not to rely too much on voices resemblances. could you say just by hearing it who's doing the secong voice in "all my loving"?, is he john or george?... i have no doubt of ringo's statement, but thanks too for bringing out this little mistery.

  • @mrpeppepper paul sings all my loving

  • @bball4life140

I know, but I was talking about the second voice, after the solo.

  • @mrpeppepper Thanks very much for your comments!

I will answer it. That was Paul at recordings, but George sings it at live, I think.

  • @batmankozyy

Got a good hearing. So you play so well!

  • It's amazing. You really have a superhuman ability to measure the tempo...

I think it was the six strings bass the one that John played there, as in "Back in USSR".

I always thought it was John yelling at the end, even many people seems to know it was Ringo. Unless he imitate him perfectly ...

  • @Pappahobo Welcome to our minority opinions, haha... I hear John's voice still...

I appreciate wonderful words. Thanks very much, friend!

  • perfect

  • @GoucheGizmo Thank you very much!!

  • I apologize if I sound rude here, but you totally made that song your bitch!

  • @ninenine909 Thank you very much for the comment!

  • please play i want you (she so heavy) from mexico¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • @Kremblinz Thanks for the request! I got many requests of that song. I will do it in the near future!

  • man this cover is just perfect !

  • @musickheroe Thanks very much for your comment!

  • @SuperGhengisKhan Thank you very much!!!!!

  • Awesome, as always. I always look forward to your covers.

  • @tideway I appreciate kind words! Thank you very much!

  • always perfect

  • @ekkekristo Thanks very much for your nice comment!

  • so COOL and hard ! i love this cover !

John !? that's so interesting opinion.

i think that nobody recognized his voice.

  • @tackt2001 Thanks very much! My opinion is very in the minority... Though it is always so, hahah...

  • @batmankozyy I'm sure it is in the minority, but i believe your opinion.

  • Thanks so much for your videos!! I always learn something new!!

  • @winksoda86 Thanks very much for your comment! That was good!!

  • It's Ringo screaming the famous phrase.

  • @Thirdalproductions Thank you very much for the comment! It may be so...

  • @batmankozyy Oh yeah, you're great XD I look up to you, seriously.

  • ."It's been a long, long, ......long time...."

  • @phlizmo Is that your request song "Long Long Long"? or have you waited for a long time?

There are a lot of Ringo's mysterious fills on "Long Long Long"... If so, You might have to wait while it is more longer.....

  • @batmankozyy ah..no.. i was just singing what comes next on the album.. from loud and explosive to quiet and meditative. I always remember the tunes in album order. :)but yeah it would be a great cover too! So passionate.

  • @phlizmo Thanks very much for reply! That contrast is splendid!

  • sorry didn`t mean the world but the word he

  • @gejuje No problem! ;)

  • It was Ringo that shouts at the end. If you listen closely you can hear John say "How's that?" before Ringo goes "I GOT BLISTAS ON ME FINGERS!"

  • @123spiker123 Thanks very much! "How's that?"... I hear that is Ringo's voice... Well, I'm not sure.

  • perfect job as usual what about the world sounds like difficult drumming

  • @gejuje Thanks very much for your comment!

  • one of your best covers :)

  • @auburn1716trob I appreciate wonderful words. Thank you very much!

  • I've been waiting for this cover!

and...ringo says I've got blister on my fingers

  • @jabitles Thanks very much for your comment! Sorry to have kept you waiting.

  • Awesome!

BTW I think it's Ringo. It sounds like Ringo, and you don't get blisters from bass playing

  • @drrobertoboogie97 Thank you very much! It might be so...

  • awsome man

  • @thedrummerdude1000 Thank you very much for the comment!

  • :) AWESOME cover!

  • @ShaneGuitar13 Thanks very much for your comment!

  • LOVE IT!

  • @rheaMDC21 Thanks you very much, my friend!

  • great cover as usual

the story goes that they done so many takes of this song that at the end Ringo unexpectantly shouted 'Ive got blisters on my fingers' and it was added to the song

i love listening to your covers keep up the good work : )

  • @ChrisTrainVideos Thanks very much!

John might have said "On Microphone" what Ringo had been yelling that words well... But I don't know.

  • I think Ringo shouted the blisters part, but anyway AWESOME VIDEO!

  • @RS1Comedy1Vids Thank you very much! It is one vote in Ringo, hahah...

  • Amazing!, You have no clue how long I've been waiting for this cover! great job!

  • @SerbSkiLLz00 Thanks so much for the first comment!! Sorry for waiting.
