  • Awesomeness. I just started reading it. I was a little dissapointed when I found The Mysteries of Harris Burdick wasn't a long, engrossing mystry but a collection of stories writen by other authors. I wonder what Harris Burdick's story was for those pictures and those mystrious passages.

  • This never came ut as a movie! Why?

  • really loved the vid and better with the music :D

  • @Amberwolf162

Thank you! Glad you liked it!

  • The song goes good with the pics. but

  • hey....... wasn't there MORE fairies on 1:20? I could've sworn there were more then that1 just saying1 : )

  • @anjudith1211

Yeah, there were a few out the window, but when having those two come in through the window, it looked weird going right over and past those other ones, so I just simplified things and edited them out. But there are more in the script, so if I ever get this produced, they'll be there. ;)

  • @dufresne1 anyway cool vid it was the best video! :)

  • i used to be REALLY scared of this book but since you covered the man 's head on under the rug i like the video

  • @anjudith1211

Haha. Yeah, had to crop that image down (as I did with most of them) to actually be widescreen. Glad that helped make it more tolerable for you. :)

  • @dufresne1 you kinda forgot 1 more picture remember? the oscar and alphonse?

  • @anjudith1211

and I don't have The Harp either. had to skip those in order to fit in time with the music. plus, for how I've incorporated those into the script, it would have been impossible to animate them for what I would have needed them to do. I would have loved to include it though because Oscar and Alphonse are two of my favorite characters in it.

  • does anyone know how i remove that ad from my video? i love how you tube/google just adds their own crap to your videos.

  • This was really good, thanks for making it

  • @bornathlete1

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you.

  • actually zathura came out in 2005

  • I really want to share this with my students also, but my school blocks YouTube!!

  • @anastasiateasley

I'm sorry. I wish you were able to share it with your students. If you can think of another way for me to get the video to you let me know.

  • @dufresne1 People say he was a time traveller bringing good ideas from the future. I say he wanted someone else to carry on from his work. What do you think?

  • @Master91474

I'm with you. I hope that's true. I have already written a feature-length screenplay adapting The Mysteries of Harris Burdick and would like nothing more than to be able to make that film.

  • I think this is his best story

  • My school does not allow You Tube, but I'd love to share this with my students. We are writing short storieds to go with the drawings in the book. Do you have this someplace other than You Tube?

  • @Marylandyankeewoman

I'm sorry. YouTube is the only place that I have it uploaded. If there is another site which is more convenient for you, let me know and I'll see what I can do to get it up there for you to share.

  • today we started the writting project for my class using the book and i was searching for a picture and found your vid, wow ! i wish i had used your video for my presentation, but i still will show them wath you did, they aren't so far yet.

  • @sempaiG

^_^ I'm glad you enjoyed it. I hope your students do too. Thank you for the nice comment!

  • i was fuckin scared of these pictures. i had nightmares.

the two fuckin scariest were "the seven chairs" and the second image of "missing in venice"

like come on, how creepy is a nun floating in a chair?

and how creepy is finding a picture in a mirror of a creepy boy wizard?

  • i wrote a story on one of these before

  • in 6th grade we had to make up a story for one of those photos i picked two weeks later, it happend again(the one that was third to last)

  • So, Thanks I am borrowing this for my children's Lit class. Don't worry, you'll get all the credit. What a fun way to work with these pictures. I think you did a great job.

  • Thank you! You are certainly welcome to use it. :) I am honored and hope your class enjoys it too. It makes me happy that others can put it to good use.

  • interesting, does anyone know if a movie was created? or is being created? if so plz reply, thx

  • that's what i'm hoping to do. i've written a screenplay for it, and it's my dream to see it realized. now it's just a not-so-simple matter of film rights and financing.

  • very cool =)

  • thanks!

  • very cool =)

  • I nedd to read this book but im too lazy to buy it can someone TELL ME,WHERE I CAN READ THIS ONLINE?

    --thnx(:

    - P.S and we need to do a report on it. when Were Done we'll take a test.

  • @JOECAROLNICKAILEEN dude its not a book..... WAIT A SECOND IS IT A BOOK WHEN MY TEACHER READ IT SHE SAID IT WASNT A BOOK NOW IM CONFUSED ???????????????????????

  • yeah its a book like captions and stuff i alreADY GGOT It.

    sorry caps O_O lmfao.

yeah i read it like in 3 min...

    so yah (:

  • we're using this book for inferring

  • a good one to use... for a school project or something?

  • Did you ever here about the version that was premiered at Barrington Stage Company two summers ago? It was amazing! Is you're piece going to be anything similar to that?

  • Yes I did. I've actually had some correspondence with the guys who created it, though unfortunately was not able to see it live. From what I've read about it, however, mine is completely different. Meant to be a feature-length film, it really goes into detail and uses the imagery of the pictures on the grandest scale I could imagine. I'm quite happy with it, and the clever connections made between photos, but the daunting struggle of actually getting it produced now stands in the way.

  • Very cool. What kind of project? What do you have to do?

  • amazin we already done a school project on this! X0X0X0Xxxx :):):);)

  • Glad you liked it. What did you do for your project?
