  • Are 25acp rounds difficult to find?Expensive? How does it compare to the .380 round? I m looking for a pocket pistol and looking into .380 guns. Is the 25acp a lot less powerful than a .380 or is the difference not that great?

  • Bought one brand new in 1995 for $125. Still have it. Good lirttle gun. Very easy to clean.

  • Thanks for the info. As a gun novice, I appreciate your down-home explanation. I like this gun I inherited and have decided to keep it and not sell it.

  • Nice little gun with 2 serious issues. #1- I guarantee that the safety will be clicked "off" 7 times out of 10 after being in your pocket #2- Unless you have working man hands, you will not be able to work the slide unless hammer is pulled fully to "fire" position.

Have used against men successfully and wonder if would dissuade pack of pit bulls?

  • Hey sootch00 always love your vids!

  • What's the price of the gun?

  • Just bought one of these today at a gun show for $195 in nearly perfect condition and I love it!

  • my mom has this gun and she hasn't fired it in years, My father bought it for her and im going to clean it for her tomorrow and take her to the range. we want to get our concealed carry permit together, i think it will be a good bonding experience.

  • My father owned this gun. It was the first pistol I ever fired, when I was around 5 years old. He passed away in 2007, but I was able to keep the gun. I'm now 24 and this gun is older than me but it is now my main carry gun. Still reliable, and fits nice in a pair of jeans. I love that little gun.

  • "Just one gun doesn't fit the bill" That depends on the need. I need a 3.5 inch barrel handgun for everyday concealed carry, when I'm not working. But when I am working I need a smaller pocket pistol to carry concealed, so I can feel secure knowing I have something 1) my co-workers cannot see and 2) for protection when I leave work. Because I sometimes have to run an errand or two after my shift.

  • Discharged the gun into his butt Lol

  • what everyone needs to know is you DO NOT carry a weapon to KILL the perp, you carry a weapon to stop the threat, if that means the perp dies then so be it. .25acp has killed many many many people, and is better than being unarmed.

  • man that story you told about the safety... made me wince to think of it. what a terrible way to finish a good think-time.

  • How do you like the Beretta 21 Bobcat .25ACP compared to the model 950? Thanks

  • I'm looking for my first 3 hand guns. CZ 75 9mm CZ 97 in .45 and this one or maybe a .22. Any suggestions?

  • hey great video, my dad bought this firearm in 1956 for 26 dollars, he gave it to my grandfather who just recently gave it to me.. i love it, i love how i handles i love the low recoil, and the durability, its an amazing firearm and i suggest it to anyone

  • WHY GO TO THE JOHN WITH A PISTOL ON YOU? LETHAL Hemorrhoids???!

  • Comment removed

  • what size Bullet does it take?

  • bought one for $25.00 about 1962 for wife never fired .i just bought a box of 25 cal shells glad i kept it will go to range shortly

  • I love mine! Never ever had a single jam or any other problem with it at all.

  • Mine is a model 950 B-cal. 6.35 (not a model BS) It must be an older model because it does not have a safety switch period. It does have the half cock feature and I use it! I love this little gun! It is so concealable, durable and has just the right amount of firepower. It's also very surprisingly accurate for it being a small gun!

  • Nice pistol. I love you videos, thank you. A rock in a sock would be more deadly IMO.

  • Possuo CR, como atirado e colecionador e gostaria de compra uma beretta 25 auto, legalmente alguém, saberia me dizer onde poderei compra? Ser há alguma loja de armas no pais que tenha em estoque o que importe?

  • These little guns , like any firearm is very deadly if the shot is well placed.

I knew a cop a few years back who was killed by a shot to the head from a 25 cal pistol.

When a round from one of these pistols enters a persons head at close range the bullet can bounce around and cause severe damage.

9 rounds is certainly enough fire power to slow down or stop any attacker if the rounds are placed correctly.

  • I regret selling mine, i never had ANY jams.GREAT PISTOL.

  • You are incorrect. Carrying the gun with the hammer down is completely safe because the weapon has an inertia firing pin. The hammer rests against the slide when down and cannot contact the pin. You have it totally backwards. Carrying it half cocked actually allows the possibility of a discharge when dropped because the hammer has room to travel because it's not resting against the slide.

  • People have to keep in mind what certain guns (like this one) is designed for. People talk trash if your carrying a small caliber, but some guns aren't designed for a one shot blow.

  • @Efetida i have 2 of them that have never been shot each have been out of the box like 4 or 5 times to look at them other than that they have been in a safe for about 12 or 13 years...

  • i had one of these and it jammed alot

  • Hey I have all 3 models of the Barretta 21A 22 caliber pistols and love them all,,I have the nickel one and black one and the stainless one,,also Im looking for a a 950 25 auto and am not having any luck and your right,,they do not jam,,period,,these barretta pistols are some of the best if not the best small caliber pistols ever offered by any gun maker,,,love mine.

  • No malfunctions. I can vouch for that. And accurate to boot.

  • I carry this weapon while backpacking. You can't beat the lightweight, compact, easy-to-use design.

  • wish Australia had right to firearms DONT LET THEM GO !!!

  • 25 auto is an ok toy..the gun is light n carry sum round..but still go with the 45..fully auto ..lol.

  • I was laughing when you said ..."it discharged into his beuttt"

  • how much are those new

  • It discharged into his butt? Usually my butt is doing the discharging...

  • why do people so underestimate 25 acp so much i have seen a cow killed with a 22 long rifle round and it was done with one shot

  • can i have it?

  • How much would one be worth that is MADE IN ITALY?

All is in italian and almost mint condition

  • @Bouzoukiellas To my knowledge the original Jetfires were made in Brazil starting in the 50's, and then in the 70's US production started. I didn't know they were ever made in Italy.

  • @502waf this one isnt a jetfire. it says on it "Made in Italy" if i remember correctly, all of the writing is in italian. i have no clue what it says though

  • Thanks for the vid I think I might buy one.

  • a pitbull ran up on me a couple of days ago while i was getting in my truck and got to see mine, turns out he was friendly so i decided to be the same.

  • Thats the the pocket pistol I would get!!!!!!

  • should i get this; or the beretta model 21?

  • @ayellerbird They are both great guns i have the 21a in .22lr and i love it.

  • My Grandpa used this as back up in the second world war and the Greek Civil war. It served him well. His main weapon sidearm was a luger that he captured himself, but he had this as secondary back up. Said he got a few people with this pistol onetime when they captured him and forced him to give up his luger. too bad for them they didnt check his pocket.

He was Greek killing the Nazis btw.

  • @Bouzoukiellas The Bousouki is a great instrument.

  • @Kylef7735 Ha Yes it is! Lots of Good BOuzouki Music on Youtube.

    Both Irish and Greek Bouzouki

  • That was my grandmas gun them she needed something easier to shoot so now just me and pa shoot it.

  • this was my moms first gun

  • So keeping it on half-cock. That would require you to cock the hammer when drawing correct? I have a little .25 and that hammer is pretty stiff, hate to have to cock it when I really need to be shooting it.

  • Do you smoke cigars? I'm jonesin' for one LOL.

  • People who bash small rounds obviously think they could take a shot from them. I don't know about anyone else, but i sure as hell don't want to get shot with ANYTHING.

  • @TekedixXx It's just a different strategy between different rounds. If I were firing .25 ACP at an attacker, I would empty the magazine out in less than three seconds, but if I were doing the same with a .357 Magnum, I'd be shooting a lot slower. Both do the job, they just do it differently and thus require different use.

  • fantastic, great video and very informative. A+++++++++++++++

  • where can i buy one? and how much well it run me?

  • where can I buy a good gun online?

  • @MrWorldbefree gunsamerica. com or gunbroker. com

  • @sootch00 also budsgunshop

  • @MrWorldbefree also budsgunshopcom best prices around!

  • Love these small Beretta's

  • Nice review! i'm from Colombia and i'm getting started in the IPSC and i want to know which is a good and reliable .22 lr pistol?

  • @kbckiwi The Ruger MKII or MkIII is my favorite 22LR pistol. Very reliable and highly accurate. Good luck.

  • @kbckiwi or a bersa thunder .22 with 6 inch barrel.

  • @kbckiwi Reliable and .22 lr don't belong in the same sentence together. .22 is fun and cheap to shoot, but reliability is only relative to other .22's.

  • @kbckiwi The Beretta 950 should be carried only with the hammer down , or cocked and locked, hammer back and safety on. It has an inertia firing pin so it cannot fire if dropped. When you fire it, the inertia of the firing pin makes the firing pin continue and strike the primer after the hammer has come to rest, the firing pin is too short contact both at once. Dropping it in the halfcock position is dangerous since the hammer could be made to release fast enough for the gun to fire. Stay Safe

  • @502waf The manual says to carry this gun in the half cock position. However I would suggest against it for the reason that if while the hammer is lowered the safety notch does not fully engage the sear the gun can go off if the trigger is pulled.

  • Great review, thanks. however- a 380 costs about as much, and is a much better defensive carry.

  • Hi Sootch00!

I have one of these here in Brasil.

Unfortaly, my beretta doesn´t have a safey like your´s!

In brasil, ther made like Beretta 950B. here, it´s sold a lot!

    thx. Replay!

  • my dad has a pistol like that.

but it jams a lot thats why he doesnt use it.

he cleans it every time before he shoots it. any tips>

  • @oHKCOLEo He cleans it but does he oil it?The most common problems are usually the magazine or recoil spring, also try different rounds.

But most likely he needs to take the pistol apart and look for worn or damaged parts, change them out and your pistol will work like new.

  • Got one that I carry depending what I'm wearing and if an bad person is still around after one shot they need to be shot again....... I'm out.

  • Got one that I carry depending what I'm wearing and if an bad person is still around after one shot they need to be shot again....... I'm out.

  • hey!

how much is coast that beretta??

can i order to hungary or somethin..?

    thx. reply.

  • @Alibeat01 I have no idea if they're avaliable in Hungary. Sorry.

  • @sootch00

    Thank you for the reply.

Ammm.... i was thinking can I order from you?

    In Hungary is available/Legal :)

    thx.

  • @sootch00 hey sootch whats your thoughts ballistics wise of the .25 acp V the .22 LR curios to see what would be better as a self defense carry for such a small caliber

  • @sootch00 if u were to drop it on the ground or sit on it by mistake would it do off

  • I got one and everything you say is true especially the accuracy for such a small carry

  • I have the same gun for some pocket carry, also bought mine for my wife 12 years ago for about $189.00. She has since upgraded to a SW .38 and now I get to carry the .25 at times, good video.

    Cheers, Brian

  • Nice vid Don ... very nice ... thanks!!!

  • cool cool blue steel

  • i didn´t know this pistol actualy exist?!?! this is the pistol of jill valentine in the resident evil game :D

  • Where I live this is the largest caliber that a person can carry. That is if you can convince them to give you a gun license. It helps if you have friends in government.

  • how many bullets do i need to kill this nonsense asshole below me? please answer me Scootch.

  • Don, thanks for the informative vids! I just found you on here 6-5-10. I have begun prepping & making plans only a couple of months ago due to what's happening worldwide & in our economy. My fam of 5 live in eastern NC (hurricane country) so we need to be prepared anyway. I just got a 58 year old .22 LR from my dad & I've been putting away food as well as have a garden going for the second year. Any advise for us living on a very limited budget? Thanks for all you do & God bless! Bry

  • i feel when it comes down to personal defense....having any caliber handgun is better than not having anything at all

  • did I read somewhere that they were making a 40mm calibre

  • I got one. I agree with you hundred percent. Solid gun. Light weight and fun to shoot.

  • Great info.video, I just bought one a month or so ago. Got lucky according to your video, 'cause I didn't know anything about'um. I hate shooting dirting guns. Where can I find out how to clean it after shooting. I haven't shot mine yet, didn't want it to set around dirty, appreciate it

  • I have the same gun as part of my collection. Just like you said, I inherited it from my parents. It is extremely reliable. Never had any failures. When I want to go light, I take this. It is definitely better than nothing. This will go to my boys when I pass.

  • field stripping lesson would be awsome!

  • i just made a video on this caliber.people love to hate it yet wouldnt wana get shot with one.excellent video.

  • Nice video. Thanks for the info. I have owned a Jetfire for 15years. Put hundreds of rounds thru it. Never had one problem. Use it as a backup in a ankle holster. Very nice, very comfortable and very comforting. Thanks again.

  • guns will get you no where

  • @bank4fun Naw, not having a gun will get you no where. When the cops draw a chalk around your dead body.

  • I have a PT/25 Taurus and I'd rather have the Beretta in terms of reliability...in 300 rounds fired off I've had about 30 jams...sounds like the Beretta hardly has any jams ..I think it's an excellent gun for ladies

  • The problem is all the damn Lorcins, Ravens and other cheapo pistols out there in .25 ACP -- that may be causing the manufacturers to download the factory .25 ACP ball ammo.

When deciding between .25 and .22 for a pocket heater it's worth remembering that there's some pretty feisty .22 LR hollowpoint ammo available these days. CCI Stingers, Velocitors ... good energy #s (for a mouse gun).

  • One caveat on the recommendation to use FMJ in .25. I've read reports that recent U.S. factory .25 ACP ball ammo (FMJ) is loaded very light, so light that it won't even function some pocket pistols. The hollowpoint loads have notably more juice on them. That might be important.

  • great gun ... perfect on a hot summer day instead of my para cco .45

dont even know I have it in my pocket!!

    great job with the review..

thanks & to thegunsdokillpeople get a hobby!!

  • Excellent information for me personally .... a no nonsense review that helped

me make up my mind to acquire one for my backup.... thanks

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople Lol! It is pretty scarey isn't it? It's frightened me just re-watching the video.

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople Come here so I can gouge your eyes out with a spoon!:)

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople epic....epic.... fail

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople Your joking right?

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople um, hundreds of "weapons" are bigger than a .22 and hold more than 1 bullet, and assault weapons are fully automatic, this weapon is semi automatic and therefore not a assault weapon, and weapons don't have emotions and cannot kill a person, either somebody was not holding it correctly or the person decides to shoot someone, weapons don't kill people, people kill people

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople get the fuck out you tree hugging pinko hippie

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople can't a redneck kill someone with a car, a knife, a bat, a bottle, a mug, or even a pencil? People kill people, and yes guns are sometimes the tools used. Guns are not the killers its the trigger finger which can be applied to any tool. So lets bad everything and live in a world of bubble wrap. Wait, can't do that you can suffocate someone with that. Just water? Nope we can drown someone, were screwed in your book buddy.

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople get out of america

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople XD lol your fucking stupid.

  • quality video thanks

  • anybody here familiar with german valor sm11? I just got one, def not quality like this beretta but wonder how reliable it is, does it jam alot ect...

  • good job

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • Just bought one of these for $135. The lady was having to sell her brother's gun collection. This gun is a great little shooter. I work at a bank and carry it in my pocket at all times. I also use it as my BUG when carrying my S&W M&P 40c. It is a nice little piece.

  • I have a 45mm, heavy as he... I like the way you presented this little one. Cheers, and congratulations, on winning it over from your wife, nice trade.

  • @barocha A 45mm?well no shit it's heavy you can shoot down planes with something like that....

  • this beretta aint no cheapo son

  • how much this one cost?

  • how much bullets do you think i need to kill a dude whos 5'9 and weights 200 pounds?? in the chest or under??

  • @dereisaman Sounds a little too specific :) Actually studies of real shootings give the Winchester 45 grain "Expanding Point" ammo a 25% one stop kill ratio. 25 acp is a light defensive round but can be effective if used properly, Thanks!~

  • thanks lol

  • @dereisaman It might not kill ya but a 25 ACP to the crotch will make you think twice about those other 8 rounds

  • @Jules2950 aww you would aim for the crotch

  • @dereisaman Scary!!!

  • You got my attention! - Thanks!

  • i could get a .25 from a guy i know for about $75

  • @JuNiOr10127 I've wondered about the quality of so-called "junk guns" since I found one of my dad's old ones (Sundance Industries BOA). I haven't shot it yet, but I've heard these el cheapo .25s are inaccurate and break easily. Does anyone have experience with this or any other "junk gun"?

  • I've had a lot of El cheapos over the years. Many function, like the Raven 25acp or Jennings J-22 (if you use the right ammo) I think the Sundance actually shoots well. Never know until you try.

  • a half cock? lol thats what she said

  • Thanks for the video!! Just got one of these with some rust damage, any chance of posting a vid on how to replace the trigger? Thanks.

  • Great vid !!

  • Pretty decent review! Good job!

  • i got a taurus 22 semi auto pistol from

a drug dealer but i want a beretta 950 jetfire who wants to sale theirs......

hit me up ( LAZY )

  • nice video man :)

  • At least you have got the 2nd amendment more than we have in the UK. Nice video.

  • They had one of those at a pawn shop for $95.00 in very nice shape but it was already sold. I would have bought if I was there sooner.

  • hey nice vid thnx for the reveiw it was realli handy i only own one other pistol ( highpoint c9 ) and i think you just made my mind up about buying the 950 thnx mate

  • I want my 8 minutes back !!! I clicked on the 'field strip' link you had on your other video firing this gun... to NO AVAIL !!! was really disappointed there was no field strip......

  • You're right. I just saw the annotation that clearly said fieldstrip... I'm not sure why I did that. My apologies to you. Sorry, can't give the 8 minutes back but I've since changed the comment. Thanks~

  • he got shoot in tha butt lol

  • Great review; NRA memeber

  • these things are hard to come bye

  • Great video. I recently inherited a baretta 950 and knew very little about it . I appreciate all your info. It,s a cool little gun.

  • Great vid! I just purchased the 950 .22 short used. It was in perfect condition with no ware and looked barely used and very clean. I got it from Gander mtn. for $99. For a Beretta, I thought it was worth the risk. I cant wait for sunday to try it out. Unfortunatly, I live in Illinois, where they are very strict on all gun laws. I will let you know how it goes. And for the price of ammo, beats the hell out of shooting my S&W model 39 9mm!

  • Wow $99? That's great! You're right about ammo. You'll find it's a great little pistol. Have fun~

  • that would have sucked for the guy on the "john"

  • I had a 950 model that I had to use to deffend my self from 5 guys once. they pushed there way into my friends house and started going through things while one was intarogating me about where my lady friend was. after he thretend me for a while he told me to go sit down on the couch, I said ok, turned took 3 steps drew and jacked a round in the chamber and told them to leave. the weapon fit perfectly in the holster on the wast band under my jacket. they all ran away screaming profanities at me.

  • I love this gun so much ,, that i own 4 of the 950BS .25 auto's.. i don't care what bad things people say about the caliber , i have done my own testing and i am very confident that i can handle any close combat situation's , and as far as being reliable, man you can NOT beat it,, i am adding your video to my favorite's with Nutnfancy's vidz on the .25 auto,, great review brother and Thanx for giving the little beretta props...

  • Thanks Bro~ I feel confident that after shooting anyone with 8 rds of 25acp, I can atleast beat the crap out of 'em! LOL!

Seriously, any caliber with do as long as your shot placement is right. 950's are cool!

  • Sootch, we're you laughing after you told the story about the guy on the john? LOL!

  • very good review!

  • if i would use a beretta .22 in the same model pistol, hasn't it more power and i mean the .22 long rifle high velocity.??

  • Yes, the 22lr has more velocity. The 25acp has a little more mass, but I think the 22lr would have a slight edge. Plus they;re cheaper to shoot. The Model 21 Beretta is a double action in 22lr or 25acp. Thanks~

  • .25 centerfire is more reliable than .22LR rimfire. In this gun each shot must count, so I prefer .25. Saw a gel pic showing a .25 FMJ getting 15" penetration! Note to folks - newer Mod 21s are not Jetfires, have had issues and are bigger guns (the 21 in .25 auto is bigger but doesn't have any more capacity than the Jetfire).

Fixing to buy a 950 BS Jetfire for $125, for back up to my Beretta PX4 Storm SC. Can't wait to shoot it!

Great job sootch00, from one of your newest subscribers

  • Most excellent my friend~ Thanks for the info!

  • @heraclid13

The news that .22LR autos are unreliable will come as a shock to those who own them. The .25 is a horrible round, the standard .22LR is more powerful and the hyper-velocity Stingers, etc, shit all over the .25. People who buy a .25 and think it is "more powerful" than a .22 are retarded.

  • Rimfire is less reliable than centerfire. .22 is better if shot out of a longer barrel, so you're comparing apples to oranges. Put the .25 and .22 out of the same barrel length it's a toss up. In small pistols, .25 has about the same performance and is more reliable. Go look on the ground at a range and find all the trash .22LR's that didn't fire. Meanwhile the .25 auto guys will tell you they've never had a problem. .22LR also is more susceptible to moisture issues due to the construction.
