This book sounds interesting. I can't wait to see what you do with it in terms of what changes you make to your channel because of it. If that makes any sense...Anyways I almost spit my drink out when you said new person smell. I don't know why I find that so funny but I do. =D

This book sounds interesting. I like the community perspective rather than the individual. I think it depends on your goals. I really don't have an intention of getting a ton of subscribers or rankings. I just like to share bookishness with others. It's more about dialog than snazzy-ness. Yeah, some book-tubers are more "entertaining" than others. I like a mix of both.

@bumblesby Agreed, I'm not in this to get famous or anything. I think the purpose of the book is to show you how to make quality videos and how to interact with the community. There are parts where they come out and say "If your goal is to go viral, here's what to do", and it certainly explains why going viral is important, but it's not in shallows "just here for the money" sort of way that other texts go about it.
