  • Sh*t!!! 30 years ago---already? Time do fly when you're having fun.

  • Why did he even feel the need to play lead with Jeff in his band?

  • This wasn't recorded real well originally for one. But its great to see him and his band, no glam, just tshirts and jeans. Expect for the goober on bass.

  • Odd, in the video for this tune Squier plays a Les Paul and his second guitarist plays a Strat. Here they switched.

  • @ecaravello Prefer Billy's LP tone. His Strat & Tele tone is WAY too Trebly & Tinny. Turn UP the Gain & Prescence Billy! Golub's Chunky tone always gave Squier's live sound backbone.

  • I rocked to this song and Billy back in high school, and I can STILL rock to it today. 30 years went by fast. Fuck it, keep ROCKING!

  • LOL at the guy introducing at the beginning!!!!

  • 名曲だぁね☆

  • This guy's stuff has really stood the test of time. Like oldschoolhunter said, rock like only an AMERICAN band can do it!

  • The audio from this clip is pristine.... especially considering it's age. Awesome.

  • AN AMERICAN BAND.

  • Dont know his name,,,but the drummer is awsome, ive always admired his style of drumming!!

  • @MrIsgar Bobby Chouinard - Big session player in the Boston area. Great player ...He died back 97 of a massive coronary ....

  • underrated artist. For cool 80's he was it, not David Bowie nor Duran Duran..sorry

  • Pic327 my bad bro

  • @pic427

Fucking right!!! I was born in '79 and grew up listening to Squier, Foreigner, and The Cars!

  • One of the most under recognized musicians in the business!!

  • @plc327 and hes eye candy too :P

  • billy just owning it - good job !!!!

  • I LOVE this guy!!

  • wow; real music; live singing without lipsynching; the good ol days

  • dark integers i wont los my mind your dark is goodyou cant run in water feel the water where you have never been...

  • YES IM READY TO ROCK AND ROLL OLD GUY !!!

  • This cant be 1982, it was like 1991. Awesome show. pure rock and roll. We have NOTHING like this now :(

  • @murf751 Parachute pants weren't still in in 1991? Look at the opening with Billy walking across the stage....lol

  • @michunthert xD those are some cool pants! I miss those things lol

  • parachute pants came out in 84-85. i doubt this is 82. No one was wearing parachute pants in 1991 except inner city crack heads

  • @murf751 This is 82. I remember it well. They had it broadcasted live from WNEW FM out of NYC.

  • Billy Squier is like Toto and Rush. They don't need outlandish costumes and million dollar light shows. Just turn those guitars and amps up! That's all we want! lol

  • God damn this is a rock and roll show!!

5 guys with nothing but their instruments, energy and talent. He doesn't even have a light show!!!

  • maybe, the now generation is focusing more on computers than musical instruments? i remember about 7yrs. ago, it was a friday night in LOs angeles and i'm standing out side with two friends, when suddenly i told them to stop talking, and listen.......... there was no sound. nobody outside. no parties. it was the strangest thing, but i realized it was because everyone was now inside, on their computers. and music, the world is not the same.

  • what does billy's shirt say?

  • It says Lonsdale. Big health club over in England in the 70's & 80's

  • @JanetEsq It's says... "who cares, just listen to this great rock and roll song".....

  • Great Bassist, Kenny Aaronson!!

  • Still love this song and this album after all these years!! I was 12 when i first heard this kick ass stuff. Great timeless music never dies!!!

  • Great!!!

  • My fav from him~

  • geeeze....what an amazing performance

the just don't do it like this any more

  • That lick on the e string,is just awsome, just awsome!

  • Great writer of solid rock songs!

  • I like the screaming idiot at the beginning...he is me!

  • Loved this whole album!! My sister bought me the Don't Say No album right after it was released in 81 or 82, and I wore my turn table out with this album!! IMO, still Billy Squire's best album to date.

  • Here is the band lineup:

Billy Squier - Lead Vocal and Guitar

    Jeff Golub - Guitar

    Kenny Aaronson - Bass

    Alan St Jon - Keyboards

    Bobby Chouinard - Drums

  • Who´s the guitarplayer? Mr C..... what´s his real name?

  • @Renhjarta The guitar player is Jeff Golub.

  • I saw Billy in Dayton on this tour. Was in front row. Billy tore the roof off Hara Arena!

  • Delete the beginning, please, for all of our benefits. Is this guy still around??? Always wanted to see him in concert.

  • RIP Bobby Chouinard

  • Capezios, FTW!! Anyone?

  • Saw this show Oct '81 opening for Foreigner in Houston.

    Awesome!

  • Fantastic! This song is sexy as hell, and the performance shown here is very exciting.

  • Saw Billy Squier warm-up for Queen back on July 28th 1982 at Madison Square Garden - NYC. Great show!

  • @urblut Very cool! I was at that show! Both shows at MSG as a matter of fact. I would have to say that was one of the best days of my life (now 46). Took the train from Jersey in to the city and met Queen at the Crazy Eddie on 57th where they were signing autographs...they signed my 'Queens Greatest Pics' book. Still have it. I think Queen opened with "Prime Jive" that night. Killer show! Truly the perfect day. Any memories you want to share about the show? Please do. Thanks!

  • @ZenDriveSeven Yes - I took the train in from Long Island. I was 17 at the time. Great time in my life as well. Peace

  • @urblut I saw Billy Squier in Feb 82' opening for Queen. Excellent show.

  • @hjaereece Me too. Dead sexy video though.

  • Saw him in Nashville when he opened for Foreigner in '82. 12,000 people all yelling "STROKE! STROKE!". It was outstanding.

  • rip Bobby Chouinard - June 26th 1953 - March 8th 1997...what a great drummer...your simplistic drumming style is legendary...

  • Saw them in Cedar Rapids Iowa in the fall of 1982 in the 5 Seaons Center, GREAT show!

  • Saw them in Cedar Rapids Iowa in the fall of 1982 in the 5 Seaons Center, GREAT show!

  • Saw them in Cedar Rapids Iowa in the fall of 1982 in the 5 Seaons Center, GREAT show!

  • I love the part from 1:41 to 1:48. When he says "The memories are all you feel", he changes the tune on it from how it was in the studio version. I like this way better. I think it would sound good if he changed the the ending on all the verses and do it this way! The guitar solo that stars at 2:49 is the best guitar solo ever created!

  • Great Song! Btw, the problem is the mix only. The band are on perfect. And wow would i love to see the entire concert. Especially wouldve been great to see it live back in '82! Mustve been an awesome show!

  • Wow what a time warp. Wild! Cool intro but yeah a lil flat for such a great song. But then again, pretty high level of difficulty, not too sure anyone could emulate the album version live to the same standards. Pretty impressive regardless. I love this guy's songs. Brings back great memories of those times! And heck, it's still really cool to see these songs live and overall they did a pretty darn good job in my opinion!

  • I'd like to see this whole concert.

  • Somebody PLEASE start making music like this again!!!

  • He's singing dry PA so unfortunately the vocals are too dominant. Too bad, this is a great song.

  • Squier= REAL TALENT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • guitars directly plugged into the amps!!! real sound!!!!! SQUIER= TALENT !!!!!!!!

  • You're hearing it direct from the soundboard. It's not that they're plugged straight into the amps, it's just you're not hearing the mix that the audience heard. Has nothing to do with being talented or not.

  • Make sure to check out the "unplugged" version of this song too, with Ringo's band.

  • From 81-84 Billy was the man!

  • Kenny Aaronson.... didn't he play bass for with DUST in the early 70's??????

  • Cool video... The screaming idiot in the beginning is annoying as hell.

  • @primate4 ....sounds like someone talking about a wrestling match...that dumb screaming idiot

  • @primate4 that is how they started concerts back then lol!

  • Remember when bands actually wrote and composed thier own music??

    Excellent composer/song writing!

  • The fella on the keyboards is hiding something in his hair. A ferret maybe ? A late nite barbecue snack ?

  • amazingly catchy

  • I think the hair still looks fuckin' cool.

  • proto 80's hair band.. but by god the music holds up stunningly, if not the hairdos

  • Will always be my first and favorite rock star...ever. He is amazing....and those eyes always set me on fire!

  • Is that Kenny Aaronson on bass?

  • Yes thats Kenny Aaronson on bass Squier always has a good band

  • Billy is playing Norman, Ok on 8/7 Be There!

  • One of my most favorite singers. Still listen to the CD's and brings back memories of all the hot chicks!!

  • YOU COULD BE HIGH LOVE OFF HIS FIRST LP THEY SOUND JUST LIKE LEAD ZEP. 1st LP IS CALLED TALE OF THE TAPE

  • Yup. In those days many compared his sound to Zepplin. His 1986 Enough Is Enough CD has a song called "Till It's Over". Reminds everyone of Stairway...

  • Excellent, brings back good memories.

  • Back when the music mattered and nothing else.

  • Billy is the shit!!!!!!!!!!!

  • When I was about 13 years old my two favorite bands were Led Zeppelin and Billy Squier, I always thought that was so weird, but now I hear it, and I mean this as a compliment, I can hear Robert PLant style vocals and Zep style guitar riffs, but done so right, just using the influence

  • Billy is a BRILLIANT talent, consumatte front man & Don't say Know is Genius. Had the looks, lyrics, hooks & skills. However, I thought his live guitar sound was often a bit to tinny/trebley & the gain & prescence on that Marshall needed to be up on 11. :)

  • ONE OF THE BEST 80s ROCKERS EVER! FUCK ALL YOU PEOPLE THAT STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR!CURLY HAIR FOREVER!!

  • My husband had curly hair but he passed away in 1996 @ 32 years old and my daughter has curly hair and my son. I love curly hair. I wished Billy would let his curls grow out again. I seen him with Ringo Starr in 7/08 and first time seeing him in concert. He took my breath away.

  • The Great Mr. Squier will be kicking off his tour in late 6/2009. Also, he will be releasing a new album and has been writing new songs. Stay Tuned for this geninue Rocker!

  • I am so glad I grew up in the 80s! This song was all over the radio back in 82!

  • No doubt! The real deal. Great video. Billy's one of those acts you think is a "has been", until you see him. Then you realize how great he was, and still is! Rock On!!!

  • memtown, you are SO RIGHT!! I heard Billy play with Ringo 7/29 at Pala Casino near San Diego. He has shorter hair now and he still can ROCK the damn place down! He was one of Ringo's two best "All-Starrs", along with Edgar Winter. Very underrated and still a ROCKING STAR!

  • He'll be releasing a new album in 2009 along with a tour.

  • Wow! No lip syncing here ! Ohhhhhhh, what has happened to music. I sound like my parents, but they are right :-(

  • all-time classic!!!

  • ¡Exelente canción y buen video! Una de mis favoritas de este rockero.
