However, Freddie was still interested in trying pop music, so he did Mr. Bad Guy. He said in interviews that this is what Queen would have sounded like if they had continued with pop. I think he did a brilliant job with the album; the songs have so much meaning compared to typical pop music. However, I do still prefer Queen's
Lots of artists in bands go off and do solo projects while still being commited to the band. In fact, Roger Taylor had already been working on solo music, having released his first solo album in 1981.
